Howes Cave, New York, United States
LOADED, LIFTED, LOW MILES! Lariat package with all the goodies: Power, heated, leather front seats with 2 position driver memory and adjustable pedals. Not a rip, tear, or crack in any of the leather. Memory seats can be programmed to correspond with key FOB. (2 sets of keys & remotes included) Heated, power mirrors with turn signals. 6 disc CD/MP3 changer with steering wheel controls and factory subwoofer. Cruise Control Power windows including the sliding rear window and sunroof. 5.4L V8 with automatic transmission and only 63,091 miles (Will go up, I do still drive it on occasion.) Brand new battery installed in Feb. 2014. Lifted (6" lift was installed by previous owner) 35x12.5x20 wheel and tire package and lots of life left in the tires. 75% left I would estimate. 20" MotoMetal wheels. Wheels will blind you after a good wash and polish! 35x12.5x20 Dick Cepek Radial FC II tires Trailer brake control installed and mounted on dash under ignition. Airbags under bed to stiffen/support suspension when towing and hauling. Makes towing a DREAM. Color-matched hardshell tonneau with light that locks when the doors do! Removal is simple, just take off the 4 C-clamps Aluminum bed extender. Truck is mechanically great in all aspects, starts, runs, drives, shifts terrific; except the cruise control will sometimes disengage when driving on bumpy roads. I don't put many highway miles on it so this hasn't been an issue for me. 4-wheel drive shifts in and out easily and without hesitation. This vehicle is immaculate both inside and out, there are a couple of very small dents in the lower portions of the driver’s door, I forget that they are there until the light hits them just right, nothing substantial and the paint is intact. No rust underneath. You'd be hard-pressed to find another truck of this age in this condition and with these low miles. Additional pictures available upon request. Clear Title in hand. Buyer will be responsible for vehicle pick-up or shipping. Vehicle is being sold AS-IS; with no warranty expressed or implied. $500 non-refundable deposit via Paypal within 24hrs of auction end. Cash or Cashier's Check accepted for remaining balance within 10 days of auction end. Truck is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early if sold locally before end of auction. Bidder's with 0 or Negative feedback must contact prior to bidding. I will wash the exterior and vacuum the interior prior to pick-up so it's nice and clean for you.

Ford Explorer is America's new favorite police car
Mon, 24 Mar 2014There is a new vehicle that you should keep an eye out for when you're going a little too fast down the Interstate. Ford's Explorer-based Police Interceptor Utility was the bestselling new law enforcement model in the country last year, and signs show that won't be changing anytime soon.
Ford sold 14,086 Interceptor Utilities in 2013, up 140% from the year before, and 10,897 Interceptor Sedans, up 31%, according to USA Today. Overall, the brand's police sales were up 48 percent, and they were enough to boost the company's law enforcement vehicle market share by 9 points to nearly 50 percent.
The success comes just a few years after it made the decision to finally retire the long-serving Crown Victoria-based cruiser for two more modern vehicles. "We had to reinvent the category," said Chris Terry of Ford Communications to Autoblog. The automaker had to convince police departments that a unibody chassis without a V8 could perform better than a model that had been a law enforcement staple for years.
Ford books $2.6B pretax quarterly profit
Thu, 24 Jul 2014While its crosstown competitors at General Motors are smarting over a drastic drop in net income to $200 million in the second quarter, Ford has reason to celebrate. The Blue Oval has announced its own Q2 financial results, including a growing net income of $1.3 billion, a $78 million increase over last year. Pretax profits for the company reached $2.6 billion, up $44 million from 2013, but total revenue dropped slightly to $37.4 billion, down from $37.9 billion. Profits per share before one-time charges totaled 40 cents per share, beating Wall Street analysts' expectations of 36 cents a share.
Regionally, the Blue Oval performed strongly, as well. North America posted a record quarterly pre-tax profit of $2.4 billion, a $119 million increase. Europe also showed signs of turn around with its first profit in three years of $14 million after a loss of $306 million in Q2 2013. Ford is actually predicting profitability in the troubled region in 2015. Asia Pacific operations also performed well with $159 million in profits, up $29 million from last year. The only region where the business posted a loss was South America.
According to Automotive News, Ford also announced more precise plans about the changeover to build the aluminum-intensive 2015 F-150. In August, the Dearborn plant will shutdown for eight weeks to retool and its Kansas City plant will do the same next year.
Justin Bell makes a horrible policeman
Mon, 11 Nov 2013If you're wondering what type of person makes a good police officer, it seems a racecar driver doesn't. Let us rephrase that: Justin Bell, a racecar driver and the host of Motor Trend's World's Fastest Car Show, recently got behind the wheel of a 5.0-liter Ford Mustang police car with Sergeant Daniel Shrubb, co-founder of DRAGG (Drag Racing Against Gangs and Graffiti), and proved that his high-performance-driving skillset is a bit too aggressive for police duty.
While it's easy to get carried away in a Mustang GT, a patrol car driver must maintain some sort of restraint while pursuing a criminal, so as not to come off as a reckless driver to the public. We'll admit, some pursuit techniques are counter-intuitive to performance driving (stay off the gas in a lane-change exercise?), but Bell's judicious use of the handbrake can't be normal procedure.
Watch "The One With The Ford Mustang 5.0 Police Car" (yes, we caught the Friends reference too) below to see some shenanigans in one of Michigan's finest patrol cars.
