2004 New Body Style F-150 Lariat The pictures will tell the story best but for those who need a description of this awesome four wheel drive beauty here's what I can tell you. First the aftermarket products This Ford is lifted with a 3" body and a 2.5" suspension lift. Rolling on 20" black Rock-Star Wheels with 35" Toyo Open Country M/T tires. Upper and lower billet grills and Flowmaster exhaust, dead-ended under the frame. Inside you have an Atrend single 10" custom box under the rear seat with a 1000watt Sony amplifier. Controlling the audio is a JVC avx706 DVD head unit with Sirius satellite receiver. Aux and Ipod/Iphone inputs included. Basic description of the Lariat package Leather 40/20/40 front seats with fold down center console, cup holders and storage compartment. Leather rear 60/40 seat with fold down arm rest. Auto headlights and knob select four wheel drive. Heated seats and mirrors and auto electronic climate control. 5.4L engine which gets around 15 miles to the gallon. Chrome exterior package (handles, bumpers and mirrors). Factory Ford bugshield, bedliner and tow package. Truck runs and drives like a dream. Very comfortable ride even with the lift and oversized tires. There are only two thing wrong with this vehicle.. both rear windows require new regulators. These can be installed before pickup/delivery of the truck for cost of parts ($146/window) if you like. Front windows work perfectly. The only other flaw in this truck is that the factory installed sunroof does not work. Not sure why but good news is that it's closed tight and doesn't leak. Everything else on the truck is in great shape. 4wd works perfectly. Paint is nice, glossy and true to its color (no fading or discoloration) Truck is almost 10 years old but you wouldn't know it to look at it. Great truck, Great Price, Happy bidding!!! If you have any questions feel free to contact me. I will be more than happy to answer all of them.

Ford cleans up painting process with cameras
Thu, 22 Aug 2013Knowing how the bacon gets made rarely entices us and, in the same vein, the same usually goes for knowing about how new cars get painted. But in both instances, however, quality - or a lack thereof - is instantly obvious. In terms of the latter, Ford is showing off its new paint quality process with 3D Dirt Detection Technology to find imperfections in vehicle paint more easily and more quickly.
This process - being performed on the F-150 SVT Raptor above - uses 16 computer-controlled cameras to create a three-dimensional model (inset) of the vehicle to detect flaws in the paint including dirt particles, which can then be buffed out manually. Ford says this new technology cuts down on time spent looking for paint flaws and gives workers more time to correct those that are discovered.
Currently, Ford only uses its 3D Dirt Detection Technology system at three factories (the Dearborn, MI facility, along with those in Louisville, Kentucky and Valencia, Spain), but it will soon spread to five more plants in North America. Ford has released a video and press release for this innovative and unexpectedly interesting process, both of which are posted below.
