Sad to see it go but I don't have a use for it anymore since getting my new dually. It has been well and garage kept throughout the years. This 5.4L engine only has 115K miles on it with no engines issues or service lights on. Only issue is the gas needle either shows full or empty with nothing in between, I didn't bother with it because it has a light that comes on when its low. I suspect its the sending unit but just haven't gotten around to doing it. AC blows snowballs and heat works fine, all door locks and windows work fine also. No noises or creeps, starts easy and doesn't smoke. Never been smoked in either New brakes, fresh oil and antifreeze. Undercarriage is just as clean as the paint. No bad stains on the carpet or seats, dash not cracked. No liens and title is in hand. Keep in mind this is a 11 year old truck so it's not perfect, does have a couple of nicks on it. but nothing clearly visible. Ok now to the unique features:

    Outside:
King Ranch Lighted Nerf Bars
Tonneau Bed Cover with lock
Harley Headlights, Fog lights and lower Valence
5K super white Bulbs (not blue looking)
All windows tinted, including the entire windshield that keeps it super cool in the summer
Aftermarket tail lights
LED reverse lights
Billet Grill (upper and lower)
24" Zinik wheels with about 40%-50% rubber left
Alarm system with 2 way remote (works but silent)
Auto start engine remotely

Inside
Kenwood flip out 7" head unit (with navigation and ipod connection)
10" rear screen with swivel and headphones
2 competition down firing MTX subs in a stealth box under rear seat
Amplifier, capacitor, brain box and ipod brain hidden behind rear seat
10 disk cd changer hidden inside center console
Wood grain package throughout
Wood grain steering wheel

I've put a lot of money and time into this truck and would like to sell it to someone that will take further care of it even though it will no longer be mine. These trucks are very rare, even more rare in this condition with the low miles and never been wrecked. I have a clear title in hand so it's ready to go. I will accept cash or the truck WIL NOT be released until funds clear if you have a check from your bank/credit union.

2013 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor Supercrew

Fri, 15 Mar 2013

I'm not normally a pickup kind of guy, but the 2013 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor won me over nearly instantly. The street-legal trophy truck - there is really no other way to accurately describe it - is big, brawny and incredibly capable. Let's just say it's every bit the monster it visually portrays. I spent a week pretending I was one of Ford's Baja 1000 drivers, but lacking desert sand, I headed into the local mountains where a mild winter storm had dropped a couple inches of fresh snow on my favorite off-road park. The Ford was, for the most part, practically unstoppable.
Ford offers its SVT Raptor package on Supercab and Supercrew platforms with the five-foot, five-inch bed. The Supercrew I tested rides on a 144-inch wheelbase (about a foot longer than the Supercab). In addition to its cosmetic differences when compared to the standard F-150 - there isn't a young boy on the planet who doesn't think the matte black Ford grille is cool - the Raptor has a 73.6-inch track - nearly seven inches wider than the track on the standard F-150.
After upgrading the F-150 SVT Raptor significantly for the 2012 model year, there are only a few changes for 2013. The list includes standard high-intensity discharge (HID) headlamps, Hill Descent Control, forged beadlock-capable wheels, and the new matte Terrain color (aka "Desert Storm") option seen on my test model.

Car Club USA: Louisiana Mudfest

Tue, Jun 16 2015

There's nothing quite like mudding. Big tires, huge power, and crazy-wild gearheads that like to throw down on a mud pit almost as much as a thirty rack of Coors. In the latest, and some might argue greatest yet episode of Car Club USA, we head to Louisiana to throw some dirt at Mudfest. As Louisiana's one and only Mouth of the South puts it, "If you don't mud ride... go to Texas I guess." Joining The Mouth and friendly rivals The Most Hated Mud Sluts, we dive in. Beyond the obvious V8 blasting and tractor-tire spinning, those who know best describe Mudfest as, "Good cooking, good friends, good fun, and a lot of partying." It's a motorsport spectacle unlike any you're likely to find up North or out West, though no less impressive to behold. Follow along with the fun, the impromptu drag racing, the trash talking, and the mechanical madness. And find out why, at Mudfest, "if we don't tear it up, we ain't done it right." Each Car Club USA episode features a different car club or event from across the US, where passionate owner communities gather to share automotive experiences and embark on incredible adventures. Ford Fiesta ST in startling track battle against Toyota GT86

Wed, 26 Jun 2013

On the surface, there's very little that the Ford Fiesta ST and Toyota GT86 (or the Scion FR-S that is sold in the US, or the largely similar Subaru BRZ) share in common. One is a hatchback with power coming from a turbocharged engine routed to the front wheels. The other is a coupe with power coming from a naturally aspirated four-cylinder boxer engine routed to the rear wheels.
Thing is, both of them are reasonably priced performance cars aimed at a similar segment of the automotive marketplace, so a comparison isn't out of the question. It is with all of this in mind that we direct you to the video below, in which the blokes from Evo pit the two manic little machines against one another on a race track. The result? Well, it can be summed up this way: Fast versus fun.
See how the track battle goes down in the video below.
