I have for sale a 2000 ford f150 xlt,4.2 v-6,5-speed 4x4.it has 132,333.5 miles on it.i pulled the plugs,because it was running rough,and #2 plug was oil-fouled.it has dual exhaust,,and I noticed there was smoke,when you revved up the engine.it probably needs a rebuild,or new engine.when you put it in gear,and release the clutch,it makes a noise like a bad trowoutbearing,but it shifts smooth,and drives like a champ.if you fixed the engine, and the throwout bearing,and did a very little body work,you will have a very nice truck.everything else works,ac,tilt,windows,etc.the suspension is excellent,as well as the brakes.the interior could us a good detailing,(ie carpet cleaned,dusted,etc)but this would be a great truck,for a person tobring it to #1.im in the Bismarck,nd area,and the truck came from ide ford,in Bismarck.it has code 19 rear-end(3.55).I don't know much more about the front diff,but if you are interested,i can get all the codes for you.i would say on a scale of 1-10 condition wise would be a71/2.it looks like 2inch duel exhaust,with glasspacks,and even with the sick engine,it still sound mean!! it has a clear nd title,and it still drives great,i just don't have the time,or money,to put into this beautiful truck! thanks,and happy bidding!

Ford owns Automotive Loyalty Awards, Audi and Subaru are king of conquests

Customers are a commodity in the automotive industry, and like any other commodity, automakers trade them back and forth. Only nobody wants to give up their customers - just to keep the ones they have and try to attract others.
That's what the Polk Automotive Loyalty Awards are all about. Every year the industry research body names the automakers, brands and models that manage to keep their customers coming back for more - and attract buyers to switch from other makes. Ford usually does pretty well, but this year it rose above even its own track record.
Not only did Dearborn win the Overall Loyalty to Manufacturer award, but also the Overall Loyalty to Make. Ford also took the African American category, and the F-150 was named the top full-size half-ton pickup in customer loyalty. Ford COO Mark Fields (pictured above) accepted the awards and gave the keynote address at the awards ceremony.

Ford profiles surprisingly affluent Focus ST buyers

It comes as no surprise when Ford says that 32-percent of Focus ST buyers are under 35, but we weren't expecting this: the average annual salary of Focus ST buyers is $127,000. Twenty-two percent of non-ST Focus buyers are under 35, while their average annual salary is $67,000.
We like the Focus ST because it has 252 horsepower, is genuinely fun to drive and offers great value for performance-minded car enthusiasts; facts that are not lost on customers, it seems. Ford says that the Focus ST has the highest percentage of conquest sales for a non-hybrid model it sells, and that the top-four trade-ins are from Honda, Chevrolet, Mazda and Toyota. Demand for the hot Focus is strongest in Los Angeles, Detroit, Houston and Orlando.
"[The Focus ST is] having this kind of halo effect for other vehicles we'd hoped for when we invested in the ST brand," says John Felice, vice president of US marketing, sales and service, because it's helping to boost sales of other Ford vehicles.
