This is a nice truck. I bought it two years ago as a 4X4 for going into the mountains to fish and camp. It has never been abused or over-extended  as a four wheel drive vehicle. It has the 5.8L gas engine, automatic OD trans, and 3.55 rear axle. The tall axle ratio does not hinder offroad travel at all since there is still low range to use. With the 3.55 gears the truck can average 14-14.5 MPG on the open road at 70-75 MPH all day. It is by far the nicest riding, smoothest handling 4X4 I have ever driven!

The heater and AC work very well, and I have installed a heater bypass for the summer season to aid the efficiency of the AC.  Interior is in about a 7-8 /10 condition, with 2 small burn spots in headliner but not tears or stains in the captains chair seats or rear seat. It has remote adjust mirrors, dual visors each side, and auto day-night rear view as well.

The truck is on AMSOIL synthetics in the engine, transfer case, and rear diff, I have not done a fluid change on the trans or front diff yet. I just replaced the EGR valve and control solenoid and the DPFE. Also recently replaced one O2 sensor. All systems check out and I will do a smog "check" only for buyer if needed.

Tires are Yokohama Geolanders with about 10K miles on them. They are a great combination on/off road tire and are quiet and great in wet road conditions. Bed is in excellent condition and has Rhino liner sprayed-on coating with bedrail coverage as well. The shell is a shell. Windows need new seals, but slide nicely and latch. It keeps the dust out on the dirt roads.

I've decided to sell the truck because I need another diesel dually and don't have the room for 2 trucks in my wallet.

This is a no returns auction sale, and vehicle is sold as-is, where-is. Buyer will be responsible for pick up or shipping at their cost. I can make a couple referrals if needed.

Thanks for looking and good luck.

  Some additional info........

In the two years that I have owned this truck, in addition to what I have mentioned above, I have replaced all the coolant hoses, water pump, Alternator, battery, serp belt, and water temp sensor for the ECU. It also has a K&N air filter and a racer's style "cold air kit", see pics.

Brakes are great, front wheel bearings checked last year and are fine.

So...... bid on. I hope this may answer any questions you had, but if not please ask.

          Thanks.

Report: GM struggling to market turbo technology

Tue, 20 Apr 2010

In the automotive realm, marketing can sometimes prove just as important as the actual product. Take, for instance, Ford's well regarded EcoBoost technology, which couples turbocharging with direct injection to produce more horsepower and reduce fuel consumption. Would it surprise you to hear that General Motors has had similar technology on the market for over three years?
It's true. GM's first turbocharged, direct injected powerplants hit the market for the 2007 model. The 2.0-liter Ecotec mills put down an impressive 260 horsepower and a matching 260 pound-feet of torque, and they were lauded by the press in the engine bays of the Pontiac Solstice, Saturn Sky, Chevrolet Cobalt SS and Chevrolet HHR SS. But few people outside a core group of enthusiasts actually remember this fact.
Says Uwe Grebe, executive director of GM's global advanced engineering, "We didn't have a badge and say, 'This is the most important thing we will put on all our brochures.'" Ford, however, did just that, and it's EcoBoost engines are right at the tips of all our tongues when we discuss today's most advanced powerplants. So, how does The General fix its mistake?

2015 Ford Mustang leaked in Autoweek

Tue, 03 Dec 2013

We would have to imagine that Ford knew it couldn't keep its 2015 Mustang under wraps for too long, and with only days to go before the pony car's official unveiling, the dam seems to be cracking. SVTPerformance.com member Screamin 40th just posted some images taken of the sixth-gen Mustang prominently featured in and on the cover of the December 9 issue of Autoweek magazine.
These images show that recent renderings we saw weren't too far off. The face is just like what we saw in spy shots a few months back, but the rear of the car features some of its more striking cues. Starting with the pronounced haunches and hidden B-pillars, the rear view of the new Mustang might be its best with the ridged, three-bar taillights, a rear diffuser and the lack of a faux gas cap, which allows the galloping pony to be an even more prominent element against the black trim.
The images also reveal a small portion of the updated interior carrying over retro themes like the deep-dish steering wheel and dual-gauge instrument cluster, but it also adds some modern tech with a big infotainment displays and a clean center stack layout. No official word on powertrain or other specs, but while we can't make out most of the magazine's text, our eyes did catch mentions of an independent rear suspension and a 200-pound weight reduction.

After Years Of Delays, Rear Visibility Requirements Move Closer To Reality

Fri, Jan 3 2014

Regulations that would require automakers to improve rear-view visibility on all new cars and light trucks are nearing completion after six years of delays. The U.S. Department of Transportation sent its proposed rear-visibility rules to the Obama administration for review on Christmas Day. The White House Office of Management and Budget now must finalize the regulations. The rule are intended to minimize the risk of pedestrian deaths from vehicles in reverse, a type of accident that disproportionately affects children. Already in 2014, two children have died from cars backing over them, driven in each case by the children's father. Specifics of the Transportation Department's proposal are not available during the review, but the rules are expected to compel automakers to install rear-view cameras as mandatory equipment on all new vehicles. That's what safety advocates have wanted all along. Thought they were pleased the proposed ruling had finally been issued, there was some worry Friday the final rules would omit the rear-view camera mandate. "We're encouraged, but we're also a little concerned about speculation the rear-view camera may not be in there," said Janette Fennell, the president and founder of Kids and Cars, a nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting children in and around vehicles. "I'm wondering where that might be coming from." On Thursday, The Automotive News had reported the possibility the new standards could offer an alternative to rear-view cameras, such as redesigned mirrors, that improved visibility. The Office of Management and Budget typically completes its reviews of new rules in 90 days, although that can be extended. OMB officials said Friday they do not comment on pending rules. The intent of the rules is to enhance rear visibility for drivers and prevent pedestrian deaths. Approximately 200 pedestrians are backed over in the United States each year, according to estimates from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Accidents Mostly Affect Children Roughly half the victims are children younger than age five. A government analysis concluded approximately half the victims -– 95 to 112 -– could be saved with new regulations. Yet the rules have arrived at a glacial pace. President George W. Bush signed legislation that had been passed with bipartisan Congressional support in 2008. But automakers have fought the idea of adding rear-view cameras, saying it is too expensive.
