 1994 Ford F150 XLT Lariat. Blue and white with blue interior. Has newly repaired power windows, locks.  Had a front grill guard and off road lights at a cost over $900.00 Brand new Pioneer CD player and speakers with remote control  at a cost of $375.00.Brand New Good Year Wrangler tires, service plane, front end alignment $800.00, just had new front end alignment , tire rotation and balance and oil change; new dual exhaust $500.00, Body is straight and true with out ANY rust issues. Driver's seat in very good condition, power seats work, never been smoked in.  No cracks in dash. Long wheel base with immaculate bed. Fuel sending units have been replaced for each tank, New belts  ALL hoses to include heater, wires, plugs, distributor, all new, new over sized radiator, including labor at a cost over $1500.00. Air conditioner works great. NO oil or transmission leaks. Truck uses 10W30 motor oil.  It has had No addition of oil between changes. Clear title in hand.

Truck belonged to a retired railroad worker who developed alzhiemers. All of his assets had been placed in a trust. I read the trust. The truck had to be titled in his wife's name. She gave the truck to her son, who titled it in his name. He kept it about 3 months and allowed his neighbor to have the truck. I purchased it from the neighbor. I have title in hand.  It has had very good care. It drives exceptionally well. I recieve many compliments. There are some normal scratches as one would expect. Question of the Day: Most degraded car name?

When Ford came up with a not-so-sporty version of the Pinto and slapped Mustang badges on it in 1974, that was a low point for the Mustang name. When Chrysler applied the venerable Town & Country name on perfectly functional but unglamorous minivans, it saddened many of us. But perhaps the biggest demotion for a once-proud model came when, in 1988, General Motors imported a misery-enhancing Daewoo from Korea and called it the Pontiac LeMans. The original Pontiac LeMans was a great-looking midsize car with fairly advanced (for the time) suspension design and engine options including potent V8s and a screaming overhead-cam straight-six. The Daewoo-based Pontiac LeMans was a cramped, shoddy hooptie that served only to ruin the LeMans name forever, while stealing sales from the Suzuki-based Chevrolet Sprint. Sure, using the once-respected Monterey name on the Mercurized Ford Freestar was bad, but Mercury didn't have long to live at that point. Ford's J Mays feels vindicated by Fusion reception

It's hard to think back now, but the same man overseeing the design of the 2013 Ford Fusion also presided over a rather lackluster period in Ford design, highlighted by vehicles like the Five Hundred and Freestyle. With the redesigned Fusion receiving high praise, J Mays tells Automotive News that he feels vindicated from criticisms suggesting he's not a daring enough designer.
When Mays took over as lead of design in 1997, he admits to having quite an ego ("My head would barely fit through the door some days. I've long since gotten over myself") and the workload to match. With the Blue Oval's portfolio full of premium brands like Aston Martin, Jaguar, Land Rover and Volvo at that point, along with the bread-and-butter Ford, Lincoln and Mercury models, Mays certainly had quite the challenge.
It was in the mid-2000s that Mays took over just the premium brands, and took on the new title of Chief Creative Officer. At the time, Mays endured some criticism for looking backwards to retro styling, rather than setting a new standard for American car design - criticism that Mays says he is free from with the all-new Fusion.

Most automotive purists fear change, but not without reason. Change, after all, did kill big-block V8s, along with most station wagons and manual transmissions. But change has also brought with it far more performance, safety and fuel economy - not to mention ridding the world of shag carpet interiors, bias-ply tires and those horrible motorized seatbelts of the early '90s.
By this time next year, the Chevy Corvette, Jeep Cherokee and next-generation Ford Mustang will all be on sale and will all, in some way, have angered or offended purists. To those critics, Mark Phelan of the Detroit Free Press is preemptively telling them to stop complaining - at least until they've all been driven. From the Corvette's square taillights and the Cherokee's radical nose to whatever pony car purists will harp on the 2015 Mustang for, Phelan's column points out the positives of automotive evolution and the negatives of staying the course for too long.
