I had great plans for this truck, (and still do if it doesn't sell). When I bought It 8 months ago, 2 weeks later I was offered a job in Utah and moved 2 weeks after that. I bought it because it is a very rare version of f150. What makes this a rare truck well. #1 it is a super cab. #2 it is a short box. #3 it is 2 wheel drive. #4 It is a 300 ci 6cyl automatic. #5 dual tanks. Even more rare here in Utah is the lack of rust on this truck. There is no more than some surface rust on the roof. Now none of those items is rare or unique by itself, however the combination is vary rare. I moved from Portland Oregon and bought the truck out of central Oregon (Salem). When my wife drove the truck from there to here we went through 5 tanks of fuel and she averaged 19.8 mpg. Now this is my daily driver and I usually get between 16 and 18 mpg with combined in town and freeway driving. It is very reliable and comfortable. Since I have owned it I have replaced the passenger side floor pan, and part of the drivers door jamb. Installed rear slider, tune up, oil pan gasket, I replaced the rear jump seats with a matching bench (I still have the jump seats). Installed a receiver hitch and wiring with a factory connector (no wires were cut). It is the original paint that has been touched up by a previous owner. It looks good but a new paint job isn't far off. Especially in the Utah sun. It has some chips here and there. everything works all the lights, fuel switch, gauges, power steering, brakes, everything. It appears to me from the condition of the truck and receipts I have found that the truck was gone through about 10 years ago and got touch up paint, tires, wheels, shock, steering bushings, headliner, door seals (those could be replaced again they are starting to crack), the front seat has a tear and a duct tape patch. And the back seat has developed a tear since I installed it. The truck leaks nothing but could use a tranny pan gasket. I get compliments everywhere I go. it runs cool and quiet and looks good. I have a few parts I was planning on putting on it that will go with it. If you want them. A full set of aluminum mags. They are Outlaw style. I also have a 4 barrel intake manifold for it as I was planning on removing the one barrel to get a little more horsepower. I do not have the 390 cfm carb to go with it. The offenhauser intake is brand new, never been installed. I have a clean clear Oregon title. I have not transferred it to Utah yet.

2014 Ford Transit unveiled in Chassis Cab and Cutaway versions
Fri, 08 Mar 2013As a leader in commercial vehicles here in the US, we knew Ford wouldn't take too long to show off the chassis cab and cutaway versions of its 2014 Ford Transit van. Set to go on sale this fall, Ford already revealed the full-body version of the Transit, and now it has pulled the cover off exposed-frame models just in time to to compete against the all-new Ram Promaster.
The term "chassis cab" refers to models with a fully enclosed cabin used for box vans or rental trucks, while cutaway models leave the cabin open behind the B-pillars for a pass-through on vehicles such as Class C motorhomes or ambulances. Both will offer three wheelbase options (138, 156 and 178 inches), the choice of single or dually rear axles, and plenty of upfitter-friendly touches including a pre-wired body harness and multiple body mount locations.
The new design will also help make upfitting a little easier since the fuel filler is now built into the cab (just behind the driver's door). Those integrated fuel filler necks will serve to feed either a 3.7-liter V6, a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6, or a 3.2-liter Power Stroke diesel. Transit chassis cab and cutaways will wear varying Gross vehicle weight ratings from 9,000 pounds to 10,360 pounds depending on spec.
Rowan Atkinson crashes at Goodwood Revival
Sun, 14 Sep 2014To quote Harry Hogge (played by Robert Duvall) in Days of Thunder, "rubbin, son, is racin'." That can mean some unfortunate damage to high-end racing machinery, which may be repaired easily enough in stock car racing, but when it comes to vintage racing, the stakes can be that much higher. And yet incidents do occur, like at this weekend's Goodwood Revival.
Among the many competitors taking part in the retro racing event in England was none other than Rowan Atkinson, the actor perhaps best known for playing Mr. Bean. Driving a classic Ford Falcon Sprint in the Shelby Cup event, Atkinson (pictured above at the 2012 revival) reportedly crashed head-on into another car on track.
According to reports, the two cars up spun out. The driver in between managed to avoid a pile-up, but Atkinson couldn't steer clear and hit the obstructing vehicle. Fortunately Rowan walked away unscathed (and, we imagine, in a humorous manner), but while we don't know how extensive the damage was to the Falcon, it was enough to take it out of the race.
Ford Escort returns, just not for US
Sat, 19 Apr 2014Ford is set to give the burgeoning Chinese market its very own C-segment model, while also reviving one of the brand's more notable nameplates. The new Escort, which will make its world debut at the 2014 Beijing Motor Show will be built in the People's Republic at the Changan Ford joint venture facility.
The Escort's exterior is best thought of as a mix of the finer points from the US market Focus and Fusion, with the Aston Martin-ish grille and narrow, wraparound taillights presenting a clean look at either end of the car. It's all fairly true to the concept car from last year's Shanghai Motor Show. That said, this exterior job is almost too clean. There doesn't seem to be a lot of character or substance beyond the typical Ford looks.
There's a similar issue in the cabin - it all looks pretty nice, but the design is rather plain, particularly when viewed alongside the display-filled cabin of a US-spec car. Still, there looks to be a fair amount of space in both the front and back seats, and the trunk isn't exactly tiny, either.
