Thanks for looking at my 71 short bed. It has a DJM dream beam and shackle 2-4 lowered suspension, a freshly re-ringed, (rings, rod bearings, main bearings all standard) .282/.292 duration and .486/.512 lift cam and lifter kit std bore 429 from a 70 Torino and c6 . DOVE head castings. I just finished the engine and have driven it 75-100 miles. It does blow oil from either the dipstick or breather - haven't figured out which yet, rings still not set in. 9 inch rear. Dont know what gear ratio. I believe 4:10's. Shifts good, starts and runs great - it has a new B & M Truck mega shifter. It needs a rear seal on the transmission. It has new tires and rims. Brakes work and heater works. Headlights, tailights, turn signals all work. Dash gauges are out of larger Ford, I believe an F550, and are not hooked up except for fuel level. The dash pad has cracks. I installed a set of gauges on top of the dash to moniter water temp and oil pressure. I installed a new sliding rear window. The windshield has cracks on passenger side - all other glass is fine and all weatherstrip is good. It has a new aluminum radiator. The exhaust is hooked up for sound control, but not complete, I have new Magnaflow mufflers and all tubing is new, just needs a professional exhaust bent to be perfect. It could use a final tune up as far as carburator and timing, but I did install new plugs, wires, distributor, carb, and intake...I just dont have the time to finish, new projects have taken priority. The only rust on truck is the bed - not rotted, just holes. I did rino line the bed and put a bed mat down, so it looks good. I stripped the body down to bare and then applied an epoxy primer. It's not a bad truck, I would say about 80 percent done, you could drive it daily. She's got dings and dents but lots of character. Please email me with any questions. No personal checks, USA sales only, paypal or certified bank checks ok.

2015 Ford Mustang renders reveal look of the real thing
Tue, 15 Oct 2013This is, according to the pony-car obsessed kids over at Mustang6G.com, the closest, most accurate rendering of the new, 2015 Ford Mustang to date. Artis Chazcron used a combination of Ford CAD images and information from assorted spy shots to assemble a fairly handsome car, albeit one that conforms to the tired cliché of being more evolutionary than revolutionary.
Now, it's very important to note that these are still speculative renders, and that they only represent the base car - that could explain the lack of the Mustang's vestigial side scoops, along with other, newer styling cues that Mustang6G seems to think will arrive on production models. Those items include a new, double-bubble roof, although the Mustang aficionados claim that even if it were present, it'd barely be visible from these angles.
The front end is pretty spot on, compared to what we've seen from earlier spy shots, while the tail, with its interesting light design is something new. The louvered taillights look quite different from the current version, obviously, though Mustang has gone the whimsical route with taillights before. Also, note the new rear diffuser uses an integrated reverse light and rear foglight, the latter of which is required for sale in Europe.
2015 Ford Mustang Convertible makes inappropriate appearance in Detroit [w/video]
Tue, 14 Jan 2014With the polar vortex fresh in the minds of Autoblog's Detroit-based staff, we're finding it funny that any manufacturer would choose January in the Motor City to show off a new and highly anticipated convertible to the general media and public for the first time. But Ford has done just that, giving us our first real peek at the new Mustang Convertible in the flesh.
The new Mustang Convertible is more or less unchanged from the standard coupe, with some subtle styling tweaks to accommodate the retractable soft top. Engine and transmission choices are identical to the hardtop, although we should expect slightly lower performance due to the hardware for the roof. Like the coupe, neither prices nor performance metrics have been published yet for the convertible.

2015 Ford Mustang to make world debut on Dec. 5 [w/video]
Tue, 19 Nov 2013Between a bevvy of spy shots, speculative renders and insidery images from the halls of Car and Driver, we've got a pretty decent idea of what the 2015 Ford Mustang might look like. Still, we're excited to see the real deal as soon as possible.
Turns out that Ford has told us just when that first official look might come, too, although it has chosen somewhat of a backdoor fashion for dropping the news.
The video below popped up on the Ford Mustang YouTube channel this morning, promoting a social media effort called #MustangInspires on. The video and hashtag ask fans of the pony car to share pictures of the car - or "photographic stories of inspiration" - on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc. But the truly interesting part of the video description is that which mentions taking "the cover off the all-new Mustang" on December 5. Consider our calendars marked.
