This truck never had rust. The body was never beaten with a hammer. It's not filled with body filler. Thats why i took the extra time in taking a lot of detailed pictures of this truck, even in different lighting. For example, I removed the door panels so you can see inside the door that there is no rust or body filler. I removed the wheels off the truck to show that there is no frame damage or hidden rust. Notice the bolts are original and untampered with. Truck doesn't knock smoke or leak. No broken glass. Brakes are good shocks are good. It's got a new starter. Tires are better than good. This truck is not a frame off restoration or a trailer queen, It's a truck you can get in and enjoy and have fun. It's a real head turner when coming down the street. It's got all it's original body moldings and badges they have some patina on them, To me that's evidence to show that this truck, The quarters the fender were never hit or smacked. Because usually, When a truck gets hit, You'll lose a molding or 2. It's only been repainted once in it's life, 2 years ago. All the glass is good. Door locks work handles work. Tailgate works, Open and shuts fine. Hood was never hit. It had a brush guard which was removed 2 years ago. The only changes this truck has is, it was born with a 360 motor, And was updated to a rebuilt 390 about 6 years ago. A cd player was installed, but i do have the original AM FM stereo it originally came with. Other than that the truck is original. It has a Holley 2 barrel. Has it's original intake. Original exhaust manifold. Again this truck runs and drives great. It handles great no weird noise everything is nice and tight. The seat has a small tear and the dash pad has a crack. Speedometer works, Gas gauge works. It's got new after market gauges. I took a lot of pictures and a video and hopefully they can answer most of your questions. The video is a real must see it's not just a walk-around it's much more than that. But if you do have any other questions or need to see other pictures or another video please don't hesistate to call or message me at anytime 702-528-8058

Ford pulls official support from top-level NHRA teams

Sun, 11 Aug 2013

As the smallest team in the sport, it wasn't really a surprise when Dodge decided to pull out of NASCAR, but Autoweek is reporting that Ford is looking to pull the plug on its professional-level NHRA sponsorships following the 2014 season. With attendance and television ratings down, the article reports that Ford is just backing out of the top series but will remain active in the Sportsman classes of racing, which are geared more toward the grassroots and semi-professional racers.
This means that one of drag racing's biggest names, John Force, will be left looking for new sponsorship after next season. Force, 64, has been with Ford for 17 years, winning 15 championships in that time and winning almost half of all Funny Car events in his Mustang since he started working with Ford in 1997, but after 2014, there could be some big shakeups at John Force Racing.
According to the report, Force would consider is moving over to the Top Fuel dragster series, although he could also move to another manufacturer to remain in the Funny Car series. With Ford on the way out, this leaves just Toyota and Dodge as the remaining active automakers in the highest levels of drag racing.

Ford bringing production F-150 to Detroit with Atlas styling and Alcoa blast shields

Fri, 27 Dec 2013

According to a report in Bloomberg, the 2015 Ford F-150 will indeed be showing up at the Detroit Auto Show next month. It will bring attitude with it, not only in the form of sheetmetal inspired by the Atlas concept (pictured) that appeared at the 2013 Detroit show but also in the Alcoa military blast shields among the display being used to showcase the ruggedness of aluminum.
There's been a lot of talk about the F-150 switching to aluminum body panels (although maintaining a steel frame), and for good reason. The lightweight body is expected to shed more than 700 pounds and greatly increase its highway mileage, but production-line issues and possible delays have been a major focus of attention concerning the best-selling vehicle in America for 32 years, meaning Ford has to get it right. F-150 is responsible for a massive portion of the company's global profits and it will come in a year when company profits are already predicted to decline because of new car launches.
When it comes to dings, the Bloomberg story says Ford wants Alcoa to supply some of the military-grade aluminum it uses for blast shields on battlefield vehicles to help it talk up the toughness of aluminum. Reading commentary on the many stories about the F-150 reveals there are many more little questions about the aluminum overhaul, like "How much will it cost to repair and insure?" and "How will companies hang their magnetic signs?" Answers should start coming in a couple of weeks.

Ford Transit production fires up, American Pickers among first takers

Wed, 30 Apr 2014

Not long ago, the History Channel showed a seemingly unending stream of World War II documentaries, but it made a switch a few years ago to include an increasing mix of 'reality' programming. American Pickers was one of the early attempts at this new formula, with cameras following hosts Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz around the country in a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter as they tracked down collectibles and "rusty gold" for their Iowa shop, Antique Archeology. The show has since gone on to become one of the channel's most popular programs.
Starting in the new episode airing tonight, the affable hosts will swap their Benz for a 2015 Ford Transit, a nicely timed bit of marketing to coincide with the launch of the model's assembly at the Blue Oval's Kansas City Assembly Plant, which also kicks off this week. Ford is touting 2,000 new jobs created as part of its $1.1-billion investment in the plant.
No strangers to product placement, the guys from American Pickers say their switch away from the Sprinter is because they wanted to balance cargo capacity and fuel economy to make the most of their cross-country jaunts. They opted for the largest Transit available with a long wheelbase, extended body and high roof, giving them 487 cubic feet of cargo room. Hauling power comes from a 3.2-liter, five-cylinder diesel engine with 190 horsepower and 346 pound-feet of torque and a six-speed automatic transmission with rear-wheel drive. Fittingly, the van wears the same Antique Archaeology logo over white paint as their old Sprinter.
