- THIS TRUCK RUNS STRONG AND I DRIVE IT DAILY. MANY NEW PARTS WHICH I LIST BELOW.
- I HAVE ALSO LISTED THE KNOWN ITEMS THAT DO NOT WORK AS OF TODAY.
- THIS TRUCK HAS PASSED CA SMOG AND THEREFORE HAS A STOCK 2 BARREL CARB AND STOCK AIR CLEANER.
- I HAVE REMOVED THE VACUUM HOSES FROM THE CARB. I HAVE NOT ADJUSTED THE CARB FROM THE FACTORY SETTINGS SO IT WOULD PASS SMOG WITH NO ISSUES.
- IT COULD USE SOME FINE TUNING AS IT HAS A SLIGHT HESITATION WHEN STARTING FROM PARK. IF YOU HIT THE GAS WITH A MEDIUM TO HEAVY FOOT THE HESITATION ISN'T NOTICED.
- MY MECHANIC STATED IT WAS THE CA REQUIRED VACUUMS ON THE STOCK CA CARB.
- MY MECHANIC STATED THE TRANSMISSION HAS BEEN RE-BUILT HOWEVER I CAN NOT CONFIRM THIS.
- SOME SURFACE RUST UNTER THE HOOD ABOVE THE BATTERY.
- NO MAJOR DENTS AND NO VISIBLE RUST THAT I HAVE SEEN. TO MY KNOWLEDGE THIS TRUCK HAS NEVER BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT.
- NORMAL SMALL DINGS HERE AND THERE FOR A 30 YR OLD VEHICLE.
- THE BLACK HOOD STRIPES ARE VINYL TAPE, YOU CAN REMOVE EASILY.

Ford announces 2014 F-150 SVT Raptor Special Edition
Tue, 09 Apr 2013Ford has pulled the wraps off its anticipated 2014 F-150 SVT Raptor Special Edition model, a new variant of the popular street-legal off-road specialist. In a nutshell, the "special" is all cosmetic - there are no mechanical upgrades to the truck and its 6.2-liter V8 (411 horsepower and 434 pound-feet of torque), Torsen limited-slip differential, beadlock-capable wheels and internal triple-bypass FOX Racing Shox dampers all remain untouched.
The SVT Raptor Special Edition, which adds cosmetic enhancements to the existing Luxury Package, will be offered in Ruby Red Metallic and Tuxedo Black Metallic with box-side graphics. The interior upgrades include Brick Red seat bolsters (with black inserts), cloth honeycomb highlights and a console top finish panel.
As of now, Ford has only release a couple pictures of the Special Edition model. But check back later, as we will update the gallery when additional high-res images are released later today, and be sure to peruse the press release below for all the details.
2015 Ford Mustang stars in bizarrely awesome '80s aerobics video
Wed, 30 Apr 2014For reasons we can't comprehend, here's a music video starring the all-new, 2015 Ford Mustang and a number of dancers dressed and styled in the most stereotypically 1980s way possible. The dancers then take part in a male-versus-female dance off. Again, we've no idea why it exists.
It's weird, and for the second time in two weeks, we're sat at our computer wondering, "What are we watching?" That said, it does show the new Mustang from a number of angles, and it's one of the first car-related YouTube videos we've seen that's available in a 4K, ultra-high-def stream.
Take a look below, and let us know what you think in Comments.
1964 Ford GT40 prototype to be auctioned in April
Wed, 12 Mar 2014The Ford GT40 owns a firm spot on the list of the greatest American racecars ever made, being the first car from the United States to take an overall win in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. And now Mecum will auction what it claims is second-oldest GT40 still in existence at its Houston sale on April 12.
The story of the GT40 is fascinating. Henry Ford II attempted to buy Ferrari in the early '60s, but Enzo refused. Ford decided if he couldn't have them, then he would beat the Prancing Horse on the track. Ford went to Carroll Shelby and asked him to spearhead the program. The early cars combined a steel monocoque chassis with Ford's 4.2-liter V8 engine pumping out around 350 horsepower. The first prototype made its public debuted on April 1, 1964, at the New York Auto Show.
Shelby kept building prototypes, including GT/104, which is for sale here. This version featured a lighter steel chassis and was raced at Le Mans in 1964. However, a fire forced it to retire. It was then repainted and had a 4.7-liter (289-cubic-inch) engine fitted. The chassis had its best finish at the 1965 Daytona Continental 2,000 Kilometers where it finished third with Bob Bondurant and Ritchie Ginther behind the wheel. Later that season, it was shipped back to Ford where it was restored and displayed at auto shows until 1971 when the automaker sold it. Since then, it has had many private owners.
