I am selling a 1977 ford f100 stepside thay had a frame off restoration about 9yrs ago. The chasis was sandblasted and painted all body panels were painted individually and glass was removed from cab to make sure everything got a coat of paint on it. All new weather stripping was installed new cab bushings new suspention bushings,new fuel lines,new wireing,new shocks,new brakes, new wheel bearings new duel exhaust,new chrome bumpers,new 1979 style grille,new mirrors,new glass in cab,new led lights fromt and rear,and new custom bench seat. Engine is a 400m bored 40 over with 9.75 to 1 compression ratio and custom srp forged pistons, retrofitted with a roller cam, roller rockers, and roller timing chain, heads were fitted with stainless valves and a 750cfm carb and headers.aluminum radiator with electric fan. Trans is a c6 auto with a shift kit and a heavy duty converter. Rear is a dana 44 posi with 373 ratio . Truck is fast and fun to drive a real head turner I hate to get rid of it .truck is a 1977 but I liked the look of 79 grill better it also has 20" wheels on it. Leno talks racing with NASCAR racer Joey Logano
Wed, 02 Jul 2014Jay Leno has to be under significant pressure knowing the appetite his fans have for a new Jay Leno's Garage video every week. This time, Jay takes a break from his usual format (something he's been doing with some frequency as of late) and goes back to his roots as a talk show host. There's no classic in the garage his episode with an interesting story to tell and a sumptuous exhaust note. Instead, the focus is purely on interviewing 23-year-old NASCAR racer Joey Logano about what it's like to be a racecar driver in his Ford Fusion.
Logano started racing at the tender age of six and has risen up the circle-track ranks to the big show of the NASCAR Sprint Cup. The two of them talk about what it's like to compete in the sport today compared to yesteryear, and Logano shares some racing anecdotes. Of course, they also get into what it's like to be on the racetrack controlling a car with about 850 horsepower, a four-speed manual transmission and brakes without any power boost. Lincoln Continental production likely to shift to Flat Rock
Fri, Jun 12 2015Lincoln production may be returning to Michigan, according to a new report from Automotive News. While the brand's current big sedan, the MKS, is built alongside the Ford Taurus, Ford Explorer, and their Police Interceptor counterparts at the Blue Oval's Chicago, IL factory, the production version of the Continental won't be screwed together in the Windy City. According to AN, "industry sources" claim the Continental will join the Ford Mustang and Ford Fusion – on which the big Lincoln is loosely based – at the company's Flat Rock, MI factory. The move isn't just based on convenience, though. Ford is selling a lot of Explorers, and shifting Lincoln production away from Chicago Assembly frees up production capacity for the popular SUV. "Chicago Assembly Plant is vital to our global manufacturing footprint and will continue to manufacture the Ford Taurus, Ford Explorer and Police Interceptor vehicles even after we phase out production of the MKS in 2016," Ford told Automotive News. "We will continue to match production to demand." Looking at the numbers further backs up the argument against Lincoln production in Chicago. Last year alone, Ford built nearly 285,000 Explorers and over 73,000 Taurus sedans, compared to just 8,300 Lincolns. Finally, as AN tells it, Ford is almost telegraphing the Continental's arrival in Flat Rock. The facility has a four-week shut down scheduled from June 15 through July 13, which is twice as long as the typical summer vacation, while there's another two weeks off slated for September.
