Original North Carolina truck. Runs, drives and looks great. Engine is 351 cu.in (I was told by previous owner it is a Cleveland, rebuilt about 4 years ago), automatic transmission w/ column shifter converted to B&M Ratchet floor shifter. Brakes work excellent. Steering is tight and had recent alignment. Tires are very good w/ plenty on miles left.  The frame and bed are solid rust free as is the bulk of truck. The only spots that seem to have had some rust repair are lower corner tip of each door and floor foot pans. It can be a daily driver as it is or an easy resto . I am selling the truck because I need to "thin my herd", simply have to many vehicles and very little time to enjoy them.

These are the only issues that I know: Carb has manual choke that can be converted back to automatic, needs adjustment or cleaning for better idle. Kick down linkage was removed  w/ carb replacement and column shifter & linkage was removed for B&M Floor Shifter conversion by previous owner. Interior needs carpet and interior of glove box. Seat beading separated and has seat cover. Dash pad needs replacement. Driver side window crank needs repair. Small section missing on right side of grill. Rain rails above doors need repair or replacement. I believe most of these items are minor and everything is availiable through local car parts stores or aftermarket suppliers like Dennis Carpenter Parts and LMC Trucks.

Call me at 860-294-6896 with any questions. Truck is registered, I welcome and encourage anyone interested to drop by to inspect and test drive.

I have described the truck to the best of my knowledge. If you have any questions ask before you bid.

$500 deposit is due within 24 hours after the auction ends unless other arrangements are discussed prior.

What an Atlas-based Ford F-150 might look like

Thu, 27 Jun 2013

Just ahead of January's Detroit Auto Show, surprising rumors pegged Ford as revealing some sort of F-150 concept, perhaps as a hurried effort to deflate some of the buzz building around General Motors' new Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra twins, which were also making their auto show debut. Those rumblings turned out to be true, as Ford rolled into the Motor City with its Atlas concept (inset, right), touting the truck's bold styling as a precursor to the next-generation F-Series.
The show truck featured all kinds of clever details, including active wheel shutters and a front air dam that raised and lowered to improve aerodynamics while preserving off-road ability. It also had a genuinely snarly face. And it's that pugnacious snout that may well be on its way to production. The good folks at TopSpeed have worked up the plausible-looking artist's rendering above by cross-referencing the Atlas concept with what little has been revealed from recent spy shots. The look is toned-down pretty dramatically from the concept truck, but its Atlas roots are clear, with a massive three-bar grille and bracket-shaped headlamps hiding a next-generation EcoBoost engine. In the rendering, the show truck's deeply contoured hood and roofline have been ditched and larger, more traditional side mirrors have been fitted - all likely concessions in the move to production sheetmetal.
While Ford has yet to officially announce when it will unveil the 2015 F-150, all signs point to next year's Detroit Auto Show - one year after the Atlas shrugged off GM's new pickups.

Petrolicious pays visit to tuning sensation the Ringbrothers

Fri, 08 Nov 2013

We caught up with a few projects from Ringbrothers at SEMA this year: a classic Ford Mustang body rendered in carbon fiber, and a De Tomaso Pantera-based concept that made us swoon.
It's with good timing then, that our friends at Petrolicious have uploaded their newest, well-crafted mini-documentary to the expansive airwaves of the Internet. Here, we meet the brothers Ring in person - Mike and Jim - and see how they've lent they're passion for craftsmanship to their business, along with their surname. A 1964 Ford Fairlane dubbed "Afterburner" and a 1965 Mustang called "Producer" star in this show.

Can an actual Ford F-150 ride on 4 Power Wheels F-150s?

Tue, Dec 9 2014

A lot of kids are rough on their toys, especially when it comes to those made to be used outside, like a four-wheeled kid-size Power Wheels. Whether it's cruising through the sand box, carrying piles of rocks in the driveway or crashing around trees in the backyard, these motorized vehicles often take punishment from the moment the giftwrap comes off. The folks at Fisher-Price decided to give their latest F-150 Power Wheels a true torture test worse than any kid could have ever managed by setting a real 2015 Ford F-150 on top of four of them. Would the little toy trucks explode in a shower of plastic shards in a massive collapse, and if not, could they drive away afterwards? The latest F-150 might be 700 pounds lighter thanks to the switch to aluminum, but it's still a fullsize pickup. According to this clip, the truck weighs in at 4,120 pounds, which puts an average of 1,030 pounds on each of the toys. Check out the video above to see how the stunt goes, and click on the gallery below for some behind-the-scenes looks at the setup.
