1972 Ford F100 Ranger Short Bed Fleetside Truck SEE VIDEO: ***If link isn’t clickable copy and paste into browser*** 390 Engine Runs strong sounds good Auto Trans Shifts as it should I believe the rear end is a posi A/C THAT WORKS!!! (could use a charge but still blows cool) Minimal rust (please see areas in pics and video) Cruise Control (don’t think it works) Straight body Holley Carb I bought this truck from the second owner, he had owned it for the last 20 years, he believes the mileage to be original and only rolled once, I cannot verify this. I was planning on keeping it but I found one the color I really wanted. Runs strong. Truck is on a non op, no back fees. It has been sitting for a while only driven occasionally, so a tune up would go a long way. Heater and AC work, interior dome light, blinkers, wipers. This is a really cool, solid truck. Awesome restoration project, or tag it and drive it the way it is. I dont know how many times the odometer has rolled over, the second owner thought its 154,xxx or 254,xxx at most, I can not verify this info. No trades 209-505-4627 Please no calls or texts after 9pm
I have described it to the best of my ability and as honestly as I can, Please call with questions.
No warranty, all sales are final, puchase as is where is, If payment terms are not met, I will cancel the transaction, deposit is NON REFUNDABLE. I have payment terms specified in the auction for a reason, its not my fault if bidder doesn’t read them. I will also not be responsible for setting up a shipper, if you cant find a transporter, that is not my problem, and winning bidder still owns the truck. I will however help out in being available for pick up. Paypal accepted for deposit only, full payment in person, cashiers check or bank wire, if buyer insists on paying through paypal buyer is responsible for paypal fees. I can end auction at anytime. |

2015 Ford F-150 shaves 700 pounds, adds 2.7-liter EcoBoost [w/video]
Mon, 13 Jan 2014The Ford F-150 is one of the best selling vehicles on the planet. Considering that, one can imagine that when it comes time for a redesign, there are hardly any half measures. For its lucky thirteenth generation, Ford has gone all-in on the single most important vehicle in its portfolio, redesigning it from the ground up.
The big news is the F-150's new, lightweight, Atlas-inspired body. Ninety-three percent of that new body is made from a sort of aluminum alloy not unlike what the US military uses in its M2 Bradley fighting vehicles and Humvees, and it accounts for up to 70 percent of the F-150's 700-pound weight reduction. As a side benefit, the aluminum body should prove more resistant to dents and dings. Built Ford tough, indeed.
If you're wondering where the other 30 percent of that 700-pound weight loss went, 8.5 percent (60 pounds) came from the increased use of high-strength steel (up from 23 percent to 77 percent) in its ladder-box frame. Ford claims this steel is comparable to some of the heavy duty pickups used by its competitors, with a PSI rating of 70,000.
2015 Ford Expedition stays the course, adds EcoBoost power
Tue, 18 Feb 2014The era of the body-on-frame, fullsize SUV is rapidly vanishing in favor of smaller, unibody crossovers. However, Ford still sees life in the segment with the reveal of the updated 2015 Expedition, now available (solely) with the company's 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6. The new truck will make its public debut at the 2014 DFW Auto Show in Dallas on February 19.
The loss of the previous 5.4-liter V8 in favor of Ford's 3.5-liter, direct-injected, twin-turbocharged V6 engine might rankle some of the Expedition's fans, but Ford claims that the change gives the SUV better fuel economy, more power and increased low-end torque than before. Unfortunately, official engine specifications won't be released until later this year, but Ford says engine output will be similar to the 365 horsepower and 360 pound-feet of torque that this powerplant produces in other applications. The EcoBoost is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission, and the SUV now uses electrically assisted power steering, for an even greater fuel economy advantage. Ford claims this also allows for better maneuverability at low speeds and better feel at high speeds.
Exterior styling is basically unchanged for 2015. The front end has the same three-bar chrome grille and headlight design, but the lower air dam gets added chrome and LED lamps. The rear gets more brightwork on the hatch, and there's a chrome-tipped exhaust pipe. As before, Ford is offering the Expedition in two wheelbase lengths - 119 inches and 131 inches. A new, optional, continuously controlled damping system alters suspension settings constantly based on 46 parameters and offers comfort, normal and sport modes (just like the Expedition's sister, the recently refreshed and decidedly less-attractive Lincoln Navigator).
Ford and 'Dirty Jobs' pitchman Mike Rowe part ways [w/videos]
Thu, 20 Feb 2014Former Dirty Jobs host Mike Rowe has one less job as of today - the pitchman is no longer a pitchman for Ford, with yesterday's announcement from Rowe ending a seven-year partnership between the TV host and the Blue Oval.
Rowe made the announcement to political pundit Glenn Beck, saying the two are "going in different directions" and wishing Ford "every possibly success that any car company could ever have," according to The Detroit News. Rowe and Ford got together in 2005, right around the time the 51-year-old came to prominence as the host of Dirty Jobs and the narrator for Deadliest Catch, two of the Discovery Channel's most popular shows.
Take a look below for a few video snippets of Rowe's tenure at Ford.
