1972 Ford F-100 Custom on 2040-cars
Silver City, New Mexico, United States
You are bidding on a 1972 Ford F-100 custom long box 2wd 360 v8 . This truck is a PROJECT TRUCK that I don't have time for. I bought this from a estate it had been sitting for some time. When I bought the truck it hadn't moved for at least a year if not more. the only thing I've done with truck is replace fuel pump and points and dumped $10 in fuel tank which was dry at least the front tank behind seat . Back tank does not smell of varnish so it might be good but I've never tried . After installing fuel pump and gas the truck did start and will run and move but it is not running good definitely needs some attention carb is leaking gas out of front at a good rate so I don't leave it running for a long period of time for fear of fire. Every part Of drive train will need looked over belts , tires, brakes , as everything is dry-rotted .This is a solid truck that has potential . Body has dents in several spots look at pictures windshield is cracked but all other glass is good . No rust holes that I've seen Truck has been in NM for years the title for truck is dated march 1993 from previous owner. Clean clear title had been signed by previous owner and is ready to transfer if this a problem DO NOT BID....keep in mind this truck needs work more work then I want to invest in it Any questions please call me at 575-534-9089 thanks .

Ford Transit Skyliner Concept does discreet luxury in NYC
Thu, 17 Apr 2014There's something to be said for luxed-out vans. They're cool, and as a means of getting chauffeured about, they're extremely comfortable and far more low key than your typical executive luxury sedan. For the 2014 New York Auto Show, Galpin Auto Sports has shown the potential of the new-for-the-US Ford Transit as an ultra-luxurious people hauler.
The Transit Skyliner Concept, which we previewed last week, sports four finely crafted captain's buckets that can be moved into different formations based on need. Want to watch a movie? The seats can be swung around to face a 52-inch screen. Riding along with some business associates? A table can be popped up. There's even a configuration for tailgating.
The materials are, unsurprisingly, pretty plush. The leather seats and wood floors (yes, wood floors in a van) look great, while the trunk and its customized luggage are a nice touch, as well.
What's in a trademark? Sometimes, the next iconic car name
Thu, 07 Aug 2014
The United States Patent and Trademark Office is a treasure trove for auto enthusiasts, especially those who double as conspiracy theorists.
Why has Toyota applied to trademark "Supra," the name of one of its legendary sports cars, even though it hasn't sold one in the United States in 16 years? Why would General Motors continue to register "Chevelle" long after one of the most famous American muscle cars hit the end of the road? And what could Chrysler possibly do with the rights to "313," the area code for Detroit?
