This '71 F-100 with 64,500 actual miles is a true SURVIVOR. Purchased off E-bay in 2010 from Toms Cool Cars, NC. for $8,000.00 unrestored original. This truck was from DRY ARIZONA CLIMATE of TUSON, one owner for the first 38 years. All of the description in this text can be well documented upon request. The truck is powered by an FE 360/ with a new Holly 2 barrel carb. It burns NO oil, runs first start, every start. New Electric Choke, Electronic Ignition, Fuel Pump, Master cylinder, 2 Wheel cylinders, NEW TIRES ON GREAT LOOKING WHEELS with FORD center caps. I added POWER STEERING, AUTOMATIC TRANS, the original " Granny 4-speed trans and all components go with the truck( the original trans has only 50,000 miles on it). The truck has POWER DRUM BRAKES, and you'll love them. They stop great and best of all, NO BRAKE DUST on those great looking wheels! It has dealer installed, FACTORY AIR, with a new compressor and it blows COLD. Another plus is it has a RARE FACTORY AUXILARY FUEL TANK, this is very costly to add on. I have added INTERMITTEN WIPPERS and you cannot tell from original, same switch. NEW FRONT AND REAR BUMPERS along with some of the upper body SIDE MOLDINGS were installed. The front bumper guards are ORIGINAL and flawless. The MIRRORS are new, although there are some pits you will notice in the photos. Lower side moldings are ORIGINAL and flawless.
I restored the truck in April 2010 and since then I have used it for , OH NO! a TRUCK! Well Michigan has taken it's toll on some of the paint. The attached photos will show the damage. Of course the price reflects this or it would surely be higher. Let me describe what you have here and what I started with. The BODY PANELS ARE AS STRAIGHT AND SOLID as the day it was built! NO BODY FILLER ANYWHERE!, It did not even have a door ding when we started, and still does not. The paint is in the ORIGINAL COLORS with new base coat/clear coat by a true professional painter! The paint on this truck stands up to a new Mercedes. Imagine picking up this truck new in '71 and driving it home, that is how it runs, handles, and rides (new shocks by the way) NO RATTLES! Since day one this has been a NON - SMOKING TRUCK!
This truck is a HEAD TURNER wherever I drive it. The down side is I have to figure more time to field questions and take complements. Parked next to a new F-150 it grabs all the attention, at less than 1/2 the costs! I can go on and on about new this, new that, but I would rather here from a buyer with lots of questions and interest. Did I mention it has a great looking interior? with a custom made drink holder by myself? check out the photos, see for yourself. HAPPY VIEWING!

Ford Announces Free Brake-Pad Offer If Customers Stop By Dealers
Mon, Aug 4 2014These days, when you buy a new car, it's not unreasonable to expect a certain period of free maintenance to come along as well. Sometimes this is through the life of the warranty, in other cases a little less. But Ford Motor Company is going beyond those deals for at least one part of its cars. As of now, if you buy a set of Motorcraft brake pads for a Ford, Lincoln or Mercury model, you get free replacements for as long as you own the vehicle. The offer is good at Ford or Lincoln dealers and Quick Lane Tire & Auto Centers. "We will replace the pads for as long as you own the vehicle," said Elizabeth Weigandt to Autoblog. She did clarify that the Motorcraft pads are generally for models from the '90s or newer. Also, to take advantage of this program, a person must return to the same dealer each time to get the free parts. Of course, Ford isn't just handing out brake pads to anyone who walks by; there are certain stipulations. First, the components have to be worn down to less than three millimeters to be eligible, and the buyer still has to pay for the labor to install them. If the model is used as a fleet vehicle for commercial purposes like as a taxi or limousine, this offer also doesn't apply; the same thing for racecars. On the plus side, if you recently bought a set of pads from one of the participating locations, you're still in luck. The deal covers parts purchased as of July 1. "This program reflects our commitment to providing customers with an excellent ownership experience regardless of the age of their vehicle," said Frederiek Toney, President of Ford Customer Service, in the company's announcement of the offer. Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 has a bit of a dyno issue
Tue, 28 May 2013We're of the mind that each and every dyno should come with Murphy's Law painted in big, visible letters down the side. For every ten successful dyno runs out there, it seems there's one where events to horribly wrong. Take, for example, the video below. The clip shows what happens when a Ford Shelby GT500 and a mobile dyno have a bit of a disagreement at the Performance Expo 24 in Sherbrooke, Quebec. We won't spoil the results for you, but we will say there's some substantial carnage involved.
It's unclear just how much damage ensues from the dust up or whether anyone was harmed in the incident, but from the looks of things, everyone made it out without serious injury. If only we could say the same for the machines involved. Check out the video below.
Winnebago re-introduces classic Brave RV [w/video]
Fri, Jun 6 2014Winnebago is saying 'Let's do the time warp again,' using its new Brave RV to do it – have a look at the first Winnebago RV from 1966 and you'll know exactly where this one comes from. The modern version of this swinging sixties motorhome is accurate from its size, either 26- or 27-foot version, to its trademark eyebrow above the front windshield. The foldaway bunk above the front seats that necessitated the eyebrow design has been updated, and is now a power bed that descends from the ceiling. It is among a set of standard features that also includes a 19-foot motorized awning, leveling jacks at all four corners, heated mirrors, LED ceiling lights, two available floorplans and detailing like a workstation for the front passenger, a sliding dash cluster and and a waterfall countertop in the kitchen with built-in extensions. The Brave sits on a Ford F53 chassis complete with its Triton V10 engine and five-speed automatic transmission. No word yet on any potential diesel alternatives. Naturally, that 1966 price of $4,000 will also come in for an update, but the company hasn't yet revealed it. The good folks from Winnebago will be happy to take you on a thorough personal tour of the Brave in the video below. This content is hosted by a third party.
