Up for sale I have a 1970 Ford F100 with 41,867 original miles on it! I bought it around Thanksgiving 2013 and I have not been able to spend much time with it. I haven't put more than 25 or so miles on it. With work and finishing up school I haven't been able to give it the attention it needs and deserves. So let me give you the bad news first:

There is a small transmission fluid leak. I bought an additive thats meant to soften the seals and stop the leak but I haven't had time to give it a try.

The front right tire is flat. I have not had the time to see if it can be patched or needs to be replaced.

The good news is its a beautiful truck. It has 41,867 original miles. It starts up but may take a few times to idle. It sounds great! The engine bay is clean. I put a new battery in a couple months ago. But like I haven't spent much time with the truck. I believe if somebody takes this on as a project, a couple thousand more will go a long way and you'll have a great classic truck!

Ford moving medium-duty F-Series production from Mexico to Ohio

A few more Ford trucks will be built in the US in the near future with news that production of the F-650 and F-750 medium-duty trucks will move from Mexico to Ford's Ohio Assembly Plant in Avon Lake, OH. Ford hasn't confirmed a precise timeline for the move, but The Detroit News claims the Blue Oval will make the shift later this year or in early 2015.
As Ford spokesperson Mike Levine reminded us, back in 2011, Ford announced in an investor release that it would shift production "after the [Ohio] plant stops current production of the Ford E-Series vans." According to that release, the Ohio factory will also receive $128 million in upgrades to build the new trucks, plus the F53 motorhome chassis and F59 commercial chassis.

Ford readying 2015 F-150 drift truck for SEMA

Between the Mustangs you'd find in Formula D and the Fiestas in the Global and World rallycross championships, there's no shortage of Ford drift cars on the scene. But at the upcoming SEMA Show in Las Vegas, the Blue Oval automaker intends to show off a different kind of drift machine.
Created in collaboration with driftmeister Vaughn Gittin, Jr., this custom F-150 has been designed for "on- and off-road capabilities, as well as drifting and jumping." It's got a suspension with components from Kibbetech King and Air Lift Performance to give it 12 inches of travel and comes packed with 5 Recaro seats. Other details remain limited, but if the rendering above is anything to go by, it ought to be pretty awesome.
Alongside the Gittin truck, Ford will also be showcasing another F-150 designed together with freestyle motorcross rider Brian Deegan, packing the 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine and a long list of enhancements. Between these two trucks, Ford hopes to extend its winning streak for the Hottest Truck award that it's taken four years running now. Feel free to read more in the press release below.
