1970 Ford F100 Custom Swb Stepside 302 With 4 Speed. on 2040-cars
United States
1970 Ford F100 Custom. The truck has a 302 v8 out of a newer thunderbird with edelbrock aluminum intake, fuel pump and 600cfm carb, Aluminium Fab valve covers electronic ignition, aluminum radiator and electric fan. The truck has dynomax full length headers with custom dual Flowmaster exhaust with h-pipe. The truck has a completely rebuilt Muncie m20 4 speed transmission with a Lakewood bellhousing and clutch assembly. The trans also has a Hurst shifter. Ford 9" rear end with new brakes all the the way around. 20" Cabo wheels with new Hancook tires. The interior has been redone in black vinyl and blue tweed. The truck runs and drives fine. The body is in pretty good shape for its age, but it will need some rust repair before its repainted (Doors are great, Cab has a few spots needing repair not bad though, fenders have a few rust bubbles as seen in photos). The wood bed floor needs to be replaced and the tailgate needs to be replaced or repaired(see photo). I have owned this truck for 25 years( since it was in its original condition), the paint job on the truck is about 14 years old. This would make a great project for someone, a lot of the work is already done the only thing really left is the body work and paint. The truck also needs a new speedo cable. The truck runs, sounds, and drives great. |

2015 Ford F-150 [w/videos]
Thu, 02 Oct 2014To learn more about the all-new 2015 F-150 and get an early read on its potential hero-or-zero status, we flew to the heart of full-size pickup truck country, San Antonio, TX, to spend a day driving, towing and playing in the mud with an assortment of Ford's innovative new trucks.
First, a caveat - while we feel we have a reasonably good handle on the new F-150 after attending this first-drive event, we are far from ready to pass definitive judgment on the success of this radically new rig. Our time in the various models was lamentably limited and we felt rushed. With so much at stake and with so much to talk about and experience, we had zero alone time with the vehicle - there were Ford folks shadowing us at every moment.
And we still don't know everything there is to know about the trucks, as Ford is withholding some of its most crucial numbers, including curb weight data and anticipated EPA fuel economy figures. We don't even have a firm on-sale date. All of this information is typically disclosed - or at least officially estimated - at the time of a new vehicle's first drive. This limits the scope of the judgments we feel comfortable making based on our first encounter.
Merecedes-Benz EQS, Ford Mustang Mach-E GT and Subaru Forester Wilderness | Autoblog Podcast #702
Fri, Oct 29 2021In this episode of the Autoblog Podcast, Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore is joined by Senior Editor James Riswick. They've been driving some exciting new EVs, like the Ford Mustang Mach-E GT and the Mercedes-Benz EQS. They also discuss driving the new Subaru Forester Wilderness, as well as the perfectly agreeable Toyota Camry XSE Hybrid. James compares four big-name off-roaders — the Ford Bronco, Jeep Wrangler, Toyota 4Runner and Land Rover Defender — based on their ability to accommodate a big load of luggage. Next they reach into the mailbag for comments on the Genesis GV70, as well as a Spend My Money question about replacing a wrecked Subaru Ascent with another three-row SUV.
