1968 Ford, F-100 Stepside, Short Bed, Big Block, Automatic, Low Mileage on 2040-cars
Fredericksburg, Texas, United States
Up for auction is my 1968 Ford, F-100 step side, short bed truck. The truck was a one owner truck until 2010 and has only 79K original miles. The truck was purchased off of the showroom floor in San Jose California as the family's second vehicle and it comes with the 2 original keys and "original" dated, owner's manual. The engine is a 360 big block engine with an automatic transmission. The truck is pretty much original with the exception of the west coast mirrors and the dual exhaust. The rear bumper was either a factory or dealer option, but did come new with the truck. The interior has been updated with a new seat cover, arm rest and dash cover, otherwise everything is original with the truck when new. The brake system has been gone thru completely and the radiator and starter have been replaced. The tires have plenty of good life left in them. The truck does not squeak or rattle when driving down the road and is a true attention getter in any setting. Pretty much everything on the truck works except the horn and maybe an interior light? The original AM radio truck, gauges and knobs are all intact and functioning. The truck looks to have had some paint work done to one of the doors years ago, but can't really tell what damage was done. Although the truck runs nice, it has been sitting for well over a year and has developed an oil leak. I am pretty sure that it is the front main seal, but since driving the truck today, it has slowed or stopped. I replaced the battery today and the truck started and runs good, except for some minor hesitation when accelerating. I have added some carb cleaner and expect that a little driving will clear everything back to normal. There is some surface rust "only"on the truck, but all easily repairable and only minor stuff. There are several small dents in the truck, but again, nothing major. The door hinges are tight as can be and it runs and drives smooth. The doors all close tight and the windows and seals are all in great shape. The bed is the original wood from the factory, but the 2 outer boards need to be replaced. I am out of garage space and the truck needs to find a new home. This is a nice truck that can be pretty much left "as is" or is a great candidate for a total restoration. I have a clear Florida title in hand and a $500 PayPal deposit is due within 24 hours of the close of the auction. The deposit is non-refundable, so please ask all of the questions that you have before bidding. The balance is due within 7 days of the auction close. I can assist with getting the truck loaded on a car carrier as you may need. The truck is offered with no warranty and is also for sale locally and therefore I reserve the right to end the auction early. Thanks for looking!! |

New Forza 6 car pack will let you race the Pontiac Aztek
Fri, Jan 29 2016Just in time for this weekend's Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona, the new Alpinestars Car Pack for Forza Motorsport 6 on the Xbox One lets you slip into the driver's seat of last year's winner. If you want to take something much weirder for a spin, the collection also includes a 2005 Pontiac Aztek. The download is available now for $6.99. The Ford #02 Chip Ganassi Racing Riley Mk XXVI Daytona was in a four-car battle early in last year's race, but it eventually was victorious. Forza Motorsport 6 also challenges drivers who download the car to a new Rivals event around Daytona, and the fastest people could win Alpinestars prizes. If you're nostalgic for a classic Daytona racecar, this pack includes Mercury #15 Whistler Radar Cougar XR-7. The V8-powered beast won the IMSA GTO class in the 24-hour event in 1990. It should be fun around the game's longer road courses like Road Atlanta. This collection also has an eclectic mix of vehicles that aren't racecars. The controversial Aztek and the equally-controversial 1996 Subaru SVX take their places beside a lineup that offers drivers three eras of performance cars – a 1967 Sunbeam Tiger, 1974 Toyota Corolla SR5, and 1992 Alfa Romeo Milano Quadrifoglio Verde. The video below shows all of them in action. Race to the Finish Line with the Alpinestars Car Pack for Forza Motorsport 6 By Xbox Wire Staff posted on January 27, 2016 at 8:00 am With the racing season set to kick into full gear during this weekend's Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona race, Forza fans now have a chance to get their own taste of endurance racing glory with the Alpinestars Car Pack for Forza Motorsport 6, available on Thursday, Jan. 28. Leading off the pack of seven cars is last year's 24 Hours of Daytona winner, the 2015 Ford #02 Chip Ganassi Racing Riley Mk XXVI Daytona Prototype. The prototype will be fielded in this weekend's race, which begins at 2 p.m. EST on Saturday, Jan. 30 and can be viewed live on Fox Sports 1 in the U.S. The Alpinestars Car Pack features six additional cars, each with a unique pedigree all its own. From the 1990 Mercury #15 Whistler Radar Cougar XR-7 – also a competitor in Daytona 24 Hour events of years past – to the inimitable 2005 Pontiac Aztek (famous more for its fictional owner than its performance), this pack has something for every kind of car fan. Forza Motorsport 6 is the only game where players can drive last year's Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona winner on the recently remodeled Daytona International Speedway.
A closer look at the 2015 Ford F-150
Thu, 16 Jan 2014Despite having to share Ford's Detroit Auto Show stand with the hot new 2015 Mustang, the brand-new F-150 was arguably an even more important debut. Why? Ford moved some 700,000 examples of its F-Series truck in 2012, making it not only the best-selling pickup truck, but the top-selling vehicle in the US, by a long-shot.
The 2015 F-150 raises the bar for pickup trucks in a big way, with big-time use of aluminum. Because of this, roughly 700 pounds have been removed from the truck's overall weight, making it even more efficient than before, while still offering all of the capability that pickup owners expect. And with a host of engines under the hood, including a new 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6, the 2015 F-150 will surely offer something for everyone.
During the Detroit Auto Show, west coast editor Michael Harley took a closer look at the new F-150, talking to some of the truck's engineers. Have a look at the full video, below.

Thu, Jan 17 2019The 2019 North American International Auto Show might have been a little more quiet than past years, but there were still some pretty major reveals, including the Toyota Supra, new Ford Explorer, Shelby GT500, Subaru WRX STI S209 and Kia Telluride.
