1967 Pickup Truck, Old School Virgin, Solid Simple And Dependable on 2040-cars
Sacramento, California, United States
This is your opportunity to own a native Californian survivor of almost half a century old! Low tech dead reliable pickup, easy to work on. No engine light, vacuum gadgets or computer problems ever! Mostly all original with a big block 390 V8.
Body is solid, has no rust or damage. Original paint is still glossy as can be seen in the pictures. Windows, latches and locks all work as they should. It has good tires and brakes. It runs, drives and stops well. It does not run hot, leak or use oil. Nothing is missing and everything works, (except as noted below.) It was driven 100 miles just today to get here. We got 14-15 MPG, ...... amazing and true! (Put in 10 gal. on empty, and still has near quarter tank left on the gauge.) If I don't get my min. bid, I'll re list after sending it in my neighbor's shop to get the following items taken care of. Or you can save some money now and enjoy pride of ownership to nurse it back to its full glory. This is what it needs: A good tire for the spare wheel. (I will get tomorrow.) Amp meter not working. (It is charging at 14V.) Carb needs adjustment. (Pedal way down to throttle.) Power steering box (supplied) and pump to be installed. It has manual steering now. Horn ring came loose. (3 Teflon nut retainers broken.) Dash pad driver side is partially taken off, getting ready for a new one. (See picture.) Seat is original. Seat cover comes with truck. Knobs (in ash tray) to be put back on radio. (Original AM radio works!) With about 15 hours TLC it can achieve its full potential as a "perfect" daily driver. Please review my feedback of vehicles sold. |

The charger will allow drivers to charge their Tesla anywhere, without having to search out a Supercharger when out in the wild. The charger will be free to new and existing customers when it becomes available this summer. Read more at Car News China. Audi plans to give its electric vehicles looks that differentiate them from the rest of the lineup. "In early 2018, we will launch a battery-powered sports activity vehicle in the large premium segment with a range of more than 500 kilometers," says Audi's head of development, Ulrich Hackenberg. "It will have a new, very attractive design, which we are developing especially for the E-Tron range and for battery-electric vehicles." According to analysts, part of the reason the Toyota Prius was so successful was because it was easy to distinguish from other Toyota models with conventional powertrains. James Lawler used mostly scraps to build the tiny house – complete with tin roof, chimney, and stained glass window – for just $150 Australian. It took him about a week to finish. Lawler made use of his creation at the Meredith Music Festival so he didn't have to sleep in a tent. He was, however, fined by police for driving the makeshift motorhome. Ford wins second consecutive International Van of the Year award with Transit Connect
Wed, 18 Sep 2013The redesigned 2014 Ford Transit Connect isn't even on sale yet, but it's already making its presence felt around the world. At a commercial vehicle expo in Russia, the Transit Connect was named the International Van of the Year.
Ford's small work van edged out the new Mercedes-Benz Sprinter by just seven points to allow Ford to grab this honor for the second consecutive year, which it won last year with the Transit Custom. Not only does this make Ford the first to ever win the award in back-to-back years, but it's also the fifth time the automaker has won this award since 2003 (two with the Transit Connect, two with the fullsize Transit and once with the Transit Custom). Ford congratulates itself for the accomplishment in a press release posted below.
New UAW boss Williams talks tough, vows 'no more concessions'
Sun, 08 Jun 2014Dennis Williams, the newly elected president of the UAW, had some tough words for American automakers in his inauguration speech at the 2014 UAW Convention, striking down the possibility of any additional concessions from the 400,000-strong union.
"No more concessions. We are tired of it. Enough is enough," Williams said during his speech. UAW employees have not received a raise in nearly 10 years, according to Reuters.
Considering the recent strong results for Ford, Chrysler and General Motors, the union's demands are likely to carry a bit more weight in next year's negotiations. And considering Williams' tough stance, we could be in for some fireworks once negotiations commence.
