1966 ford f 100 short bed. truck has a freshly built 472 c.i. roller motor, hydro boost power disc brakes in the front. disc brakes are o.e.m. late 70s i beams and calipers not gm crap. Rebuilt c6 trans with b&m shift kit. flowtech x pipe with removable cut outs 9 inch ford rear end with freshly built 3.50 gear and o.e.m. ford posi trak. engine has police interceptor heads (d2oe-ab) with comp roller cam and comp roller rockers, offenhauser intake, mallory distributor, 750 holley carb. fresh bearings in the engine and gaskets. every bolt hole on the engine was tapped out and cleaned during rebuild. VERY CLEAN ENGINE. Truck has power steering but no A/C. paint has some scratches and minimal rust bubbles on top of the cab and on the bottom of the doors. Truck is not show quality but is built to perform and is gorgeous just how it sits. Back glass is also etched with cobras as you see in the picture, very fitting for the cobra style big block under the hood. cab is also dynamatted. new 6x9s in the doors for the jvc cd player sounds great. Flowmaster exhaust, Blackjack headers, Center line wheels. tires are about 3 years old and in great condtion with minimal tire wear and no burn outs

Meet Shelby Mustang GT500 Miller, Iowa's latest hatchet-wielding criminal
Fri, Jul 11 2014Well, we've found the long-lost cousin of yesterday's Bentley-tattooed criminal from Florida. This is Shelby Mustang GT500 Miller. No, seriously. While his name seems just like the sort of thing we'd expect the Sunshine State to produce, he actually hails from Iowa. Despite coming from the Hawkeye State, Miller was arrested for a decidedly Floridian offense – getting in a bar fight and then returning with a hatchet. The only way this story could be more Florida is if meth, a manatee or bath salts were involved. The fight, which was at the Cheap Seats Sports Bar, started off typically enough, with a verbal argument in the parking lot (please, please let his nemesis be named "Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 Smith"). This, naturally, attracted passing police officers. Things were broken up and some friends took Miller to his home, which was apparently just behind the bar. That's when he returned with the hatchet tucked under his shirt. Miller promptly proceeded to take out the implement of destruction in the bar's bathroom and... forget about it entirely. Fortunately, the police hadn't left the area yet. Not surprisingly, Miller was arrested for a parole violation, as well as public intoxication and going armed with intent. Still, cool name, bro. GM readying aluminum-body fullsize pickups
Wed, 19 Feb 2014Ford's extensive use of aluminum in its 2015 F-150 is a big deal. A really big deal. Big enough, in fact, that General Motors is reportedly changing its fullsize pickup strategy. According to The Wall Street Journal, The General has locked in partnerships with Alcoa Inc. and Novelis Inc. - companies that will supply aluminum for the next-generation Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra trucks.
"Ford's introduction of the 2015 F-150 pickup truck was a game changer, and it's the first, not the last, conversion of this type," Novelis spokesperson Charles Belbin told the Journal. The switch to aluminum has allowed Ford to shave roughly 700 pounds off its fullsize truck's curb weight. And while official mileage ratings have not been announced, the weight loss should go a long way for improving efficiency, especially when combined other efficiency-minded improvements including better aerodynamics and new, turbocharged V6 engines.
Of course, aluminum-bodied cars are nothing new. But extensive use of aluminum in a major, best-selling product like the Ford F-150 is expected to kick off widespread use of this weight-saving material as availability rises and cost decreases. The WSJ reports that GM had originally explored the idea of moving to aluminum pickups back in 2008, but abandoned the idea due to cost concerns amid economic woes.
