1966 F-100 Short Bed With 428ci on 2040-cars

For Sale 1966 F-100 short bed. Has 428 engine with 5-10k miles on it. Engine installed in early 90's. Truck was last tagged in 1996. This truck has been in our family since 1976. over time, it now has a bronco tilt steering wheel and column, electronic ignition, late model front disc brakes, fresh upholstered seat, late model wheels ('96). 428 has factory adjustable rocker arms covered with tall Mercury valve covers. New mufflers, no carpet as father started to restore 15 yrs ago from work truck to show truck but he fell ill. no carpet shows good floorboards.Transmission (FMX) needs to be rebuilt as it leaks fluid through seals bad. can drive truck just needs transmission fluid poured in it. THIS IS A FACTORY '66 SHORT BED F-100 with a 428 CI.

2013 Ford Fusion Hybrid

As difficult as it is to write this, I was actually excited about the 2013 Ford Fusion Hybrid. With the beautiful looks of the newest midsize fighter from Ford and a fuel economy estimate capable of shaming even the stalwart Camry Hybrid, the battery-augmented four-door seemed like a recipe for unabashed success. But appearances love nothing more than swapping our boundless enthusiasm for cold platters of disappointment. The 2013 Fusion Hybrid gets hobbled right out of the gate with a lofty price tag, and real-world driving keeps the sedan from even approaching those EPA figures.
With so many excellent midsize hybrids on the market, is there any reason to consider the newest Fusion Hybrid? Are sharp aesthetics, a well-executed interior and capable driving dynamics enough to overcome the machine's shortfalls? Not from where I'm standing.

Fri, Jan 16 2015These days, truck-based, full-frame SUVs are somewhat of a rarity on the auto landscape due to the rapid rise in popularity of easier-driving, car-based crossovers. Although, without the gradually building popularity of these chunky, high-riding vehicles decades ago, it's unlikely that America's roads would be filled with so many CUVs today. In its latest dig into the archives, MotorWeek has found a 1984 comparison test of a trio of these early Sport Utility Wagons, as long-time host John Davis called them, that helped get acceptance of this segment going. This is a red, white and blue test of the SUVs from American automakers at the time and pits the Chevrolet Blazer, Ford Bronco and Jeep Cherokee (specifically in Wagoneer guise) against each other. Driving manners and interior usability are considered in the evaluation, but Motorweek actually takes these vehicles off road, too. Among the bigger revelations is the improvement in on-road ability in the past 30 years. While specific 0-60 times aren't given, all three models take around 10 seconds just to get to around 50 miles per hour in the 500-feet on-ramp acceleration test.
