Here is my friends 1965 ford f100 pickup truck. Its very RARE being a Shortbed fleetside. This is a PERFECT truck to build and most desirable model to have being a fleetside shortbed with a factory 352 V8. Restored this trucks are bringing BIG $$$. As many know, the shortbed fleetside's are A MUST HAVE! I was told 1965 was the first year of the twin I-Beam suspension. The truck is being sold as is not running. Its been sitting for several years, I have not attempted to start it, it may be as simple as a battery some fresh gas or ? I have no idea on the mechanical condition of the truck that's why its being sold as is, NOT RUNNING. Is has some cancer as shown in the pictures such as the inside of the bed, the hood, the roof and some minor spots. All the metal is available. The restoration would be easy address or fix compared to all the others I have seen. This would make a great father son project, birthday or graduation present or someone just looking for a really neat project. It has the 352 V8 and automatic transmission. The odometer shows 42,318 and have no idea if there original or not. As you can see the body is SUPER STRAIGHT and best of all the truck is really complete and all the hard to find pieces are original and intact. My friend looked for years as this is his dream truck however, he has now has realized he doesn't have the time or dedication to start on it. This was the best truck he could find as he's a very picky guy. As far as the history, It was sold new in California in 1965, was painted once in the 1980's ans sat for many years. It has a tachometer and gauges which is a nice addition. This is a SERIOUS OPPORTUNITY for those that know about these trucks. Thanks, good luck and HAPPY BIDDING! NO TRADES PLEASE. Overseas buyers are welcome to bid. TERMS AND CONDITIONS: I require a $500 non-refundable PayPal deposit immediately upon auction's end. The final purchase price of the 1965 ford F-100 will be due and paid in full within (3) business days via bank deposit or wire transfer. Ford to build Explorer in Russia to meet demand [w/video]
Fri, 12 Apr 2013The current Ford Explorer is sold in more than 64 countries, and this three-row vehicle continues to grow in popularity worldwide. To keep up with demand, Ford began producing the Explorer at Ford Sollers Elabuga Assembly Plant in Tatarstan, Russia, a joint venture facility. This partnership will build Russian-market Explorers only, and production of export vehicles not destined for Russian buyers will continue to be built at Ford's assembly plant in Chicago.
Before this plant went online, Ford would ship Explorers to Russia (and other regions around the world) as partially assembled knock-down units where final assembly would eventually take place. While there is no indication as to how many Explorers Ford Sollers will build for Russia, Ford did add that exports of the SUV were up 65 percent last year (from 2011) accounting for more than 24,000 units.
Scroll down for a press release about the Russian Explorer as well as a video (bad music and all) showing the SUV being produced in Tatarstan.
Top Gear's latest trailer shows off a golden Bugatti Chiron
Thu, Feb 23 2017Top Gear is returning on March 5, and after a lackluster first series with the new hosts, the new group seems determined not to hit a sophomore slump. Chris Evans is gone, and the latest teaser trailer shows the new trio of Matt LeBlanc, Chris Harris, and Rory Reid strapped into some pretty fantastic cars, including the Bugatti Chiron and the Ford GT. All of the typical Top Gear segments appear to be present, though the quick cuts don't give us many details. The trailer shows a copious amount of powerslides from an assortment of cars, and even Chris Harris racing around Daytona. Aside from the Bugatti and Ford, cars from Porsche, Lamborghini, Ferrari, BMW, Aston Martin, and Alfa Romeo are all present. Co-hosts Eddie Jordan and Sabine Schmitz don't appear at all, so it seems their roles may be downplayed to focus on three guys, as was the case pre-reboot. We have some hope for this re-relaunched show and will be keeping an eye out for more details in the lead-up to the series premiere. Motor Trend pits Subaru WRX vs. Ford Focus ST
Thu, 23 Jan 2014The Ford Focus ST has enjoyed a relatively calm, if brief, reign in the world of hot hatches. With nothing else in the class (in the States, at least) but the aging Mazdaspeed3 and Subaru Impreza WRX and the slow-selling Volkswagen Golf R, the Blue Oval's 252-horsepower five door has been the go-to vehicle for those that don't need the high-octane lunacy (and expense) of the rally bred Subaru Impreza WRX STI and Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X.
Now, though, as the new Subaru WRX (it's not an Impreza anymore, though, neither is it a hatchback...) starts to arrive at dealers, the Focus ST appears to be under threat for the first time. Naturally, Motor Trend is here to figure out which one is the best, with another one of its Head 2 Head videos. Host Jonny Lieberman puts both cars through their paces, going above and beyond, quite literally, at the very end of the video.
