We have for auction a 1965 ford f100 twin I-beam truck. This truck was our shop truck, but now we are building a 1965 chevy so we are selling this one. This truck was a three on the tree with a 292 Y block motor. That wasnt near enough power for a shop truck!! So we put a new 460 in it, the motor has 4,586 miles on it. It has chrome valve cover and air filter cover. It has an edelbrock carb, new dist, cap, rotor, and button. It has new plug wires. The motor runs great with plenty of power. The trans is now and auto, with over drive. The shifter is a reverse plunger system, with rat fink shifter. The interior of the truck is your basic shop truck style set up, with new carpet. Seat has some tears in it, nothing terrible tho. It has a CD player with polk audio speakers in the doors. All the guages work, heater works, horn DOES NOT, all the lights work, new turn signal switch installed, windows go up and down. The body of the truck is solid, the frame is solid, no rust on fenders, doors, hood, rockers, or bed sides, bumpers are good as well as the grille. The bed as a plastic lining in it, the bottom of the bed IS NOT in good shape, but is useable for hauling, there is rust and rot on the bottom part of the bed, thats why the plastic is in place. The truck has new brakes all the way around. The truck can be used as an everyday driver, or for your shop truck, or restore it if you like, its not far from it! If you have any question feel free to ask, I will answer questions as quick as I can. Payment is due within 7 days, and a 500 dollar deposit due with in 3 days! Truck must be paid in full within the 7 days tho. I can hold the truck, indoors for a bit if you are shipping it, or you cant make it within the 7 days. Just let me know, communication is HUGE with me, so lets keep that good! Good luck!! See you soon!!!

The truck does have power steering. Have had many questions on that and I forgot to put it in the ad.

Ford reveals automated Fusion Hybrid

Thu, 12 Dec 2013

Autonomous cars may still be in their infancy, but more and more big names in the auto industry are diving in head first. Nissan is already making strides with a semi-autonomous Leaf EV and General Motors is planning to offer semi-autonomous tech by 2020. And then there's Google, doing its thing with a fleet of Toyota Prius. Now, Ford is showing off its latest automated effort, a driverless Fusion Hybrid.
Partnering with the University of Michigan (Go Blue!) and State Farm Insurance, the project is part of Ford's Blueprint for Mobility, the company's plan for transportation beyond 2025. "The Ford Fusion Hybrid automated vehicle represents a vital step toward our vision for the future of mobility," Chairman Bill Ford said. "We see a future of connected cars that communicate with each other and the world around them to make driving safer, ease traffic congestion and sustain the environment."
The automated Fusion features four LiDAR infrared sensors that scan the road 2.5 million times every second, using a principle similar to the echolocation used by dolphins or bats. Using the infrared light emitted by the LiDAR, the car can draw a picture of everything within 200 feet to create a map of its surroundings. According to Ford, the sensors are able to tell the difference between a paper bag and a small animal from a football field away.

180,000 new vehicles are sitting, derailed by lack of transport trains

Wed, 21 May 2014

If you're planning on buying a new car in the next month or so, you might want to pick from what's on the lot, because there could be a long wait for new vehicles from the factory. Locomotives continue to be in short supply in North America, and that's causing major delays for automakers trying to move assembled cars.
According to The Detroit News, there are about 180,000 new vehicles waiting to be transported by rail in North America at the moment. In a normal year, it would be about 69,000. The complications have been industry-wide. Toyota, General Motors, Honda and Ford all reported experiencing some delays, and Chrysler recently had hundreds of minivans sitting on the Detroit waterfront waiting to be shipped out.
The problem is twofold for automakers. First, the fracking boom in the Bakken oil field in the Plains and Canada is monopolizing many locomotives. Second, the long, harsh winter is still causing major delays in freight train travel. The bad weather forced trains to slow down and carry less weight, which caused a backup of goods to transport. The auto companies resorted to moving some vehicles by truck, which was a less efficient but necessary option.

Mazda Turnpike in Japan shut down for racing

Mon, Dec 29 2014

The people behind Motorhead Magazine in Japan clearly have some friends in high places. Not only did they manage to shutdown eight kilometers of the Mazda Turnpike up the Hakone mountain, but they invited some of the country's premiere racers to take a drive up the hill. This wasn't just a Sunday cruise either. Featuring a BMW Z4 from the Super GT series, a classic Ford GT40, two flavors of Nissan GT-R and two takes on the Subaru Impreza WRX STI, these guys came ready to run. When an opportunity to let racecars challenge a curvy mountain road presents itself, you don't squander it. Thankfully, the folks at Motorhead knew that and outfitted the course with a plethora of cameras and high-quality sound equipment to capture the action. The result is nothing short of sublime. Take the video's urging to turn up your speakers for this one, and watch as these racers hit ludicrous speeds in a beautiful place never meant for them.
