1964 Ford F100 Custom Cab Stepside. Solid body with only the typical surface rust underneath. Has a rebuilt 429 big block with less than 1000 miles estimated. Recently installed in July 2014: Edelbrock 650 4-barrel carburetor (rebuilt), brand new Edelbrock 2166 non EGR dual plane intake, brand new HEI distributor, new battery, new starter. This is one beautiful hot rod project. The engine and transmission are ready to go and runs beautifully. 9" rear end with posi-track. I call this a project because my intentions were to install power steering, power disc brakes, new air shocks and traction bars. The driver's side window needs the mechanism replaced (not a major deal), and of course I would suggest new door and window/windshield seals. And the gauges need to be done (temp, speedometer, fuel)...I just haven't gotten to that point yet.
I am about to be going thru a divorce, so I decided the best thing to do was pass it on to someone else who can complete and appreciate it...instead of HER ending up with it or me being forced to sell and she get half or more of the cash! **NOTE**: This truck is for sale locally also, so I reserve the right to end this auction. You are welcome to come take a look at the truck, just message me and we can set it up.
A non-refundable deposit of $500 is due within 24 hours via PayPal...NO EXCEPTIONS. And the full balance is due within 7 days by either cash in my hand or a certified cashier's check in the mail. If either of these conditions are not met, the truck will be relisted immediately. I am patient, so as long as your financial obligation is met, I don't mind holding the truck for a couple weeks or so until pickup arrangement can be made. **LOCAL PICK UP ONLY OR TRANSPORT MUST BE ARRANGED BY BUYER...I WILL NOT BE INVOLVED IN THIS PROCESS AT ALL**

Auto industry insider previews tell-all book, What Did Jesus Drive?
Tue, 11 Nov 2014
"It's about some of the biggest crises in history. It's about who did it right and who did it wrong." - Jason Vines
Jason Vines, the former head of public relations at Chrysler, Ford and Nissan, has seen a lot during his more than 30-year career, and now he's offering a behind-the-scenes look at the auto industry in his tell-all book What Did Jesus Drive? that went on sale this month.
2015 Galpin Ford GTR1
Mon, 25 Aug 2014Last year in Monterey, we met GTR1 for the first time. Galpin Auto Sports pulled the wraps off its Ford GT-based supercar, powered by a twin-turbocharged 5.4-liter V8 good for a whopping 1,024 horsepower and 739 pound-feet of torque. The thing was totally custom-made and reportedly took some 12,000 man hours to create. And there it sat on the Pebble Beach grass, $1,000,000-plus price tag and all.
This year, the Galpin was back, albeit with one big change. That twin-turbo engine? Gone. In its place, a 5.4-liter V8 with a 4.0-liter Whipple supercharger bolted on, delivering an astonishing 1,058 hp and 992 lb-ft of torque on 110-octane fuel. 0-60? 2.9 seconds. Top speed? Somewhere above 225 miles per hour.
"Some things to keep in mind: no stability control, no traction control," were the only warnings given by Galpin's Brandon Boeckmann before taking me on a quick spin in the supercar. And after having my eyes thrown into the back of my skull a few times, laughing hysterically and trying to regain full use of my hearing after my ear drums being bombarded by the apocalyptic roar behind me, Brandon pulled over and said it was my turn, if I was ready to take the wheel.
Automakers donating money, vehicles and supplies to Oklahoma tornado relief effort
Fri, 24 May 2013Judging by the destruction the Oklahoma City area experienced earlier this week, residents are going to need a lot of help in coming months. Fortunately, a number of automakers - including General Motors, Ford, Chrysler, Volkswagen, Honda and Toyota - have stepped up to donate money, supplies and vehicles to aid in the recovery and rebuilding processes.
Here's a quick rundown of which automakers have pitched in and what each contributed so far:
Ford Motor Company has donating $250,000 and a Transit Connect to the American Red Cross, and it will match all other donations made to the Red Cross (up to $250,000) using a special URL tied to the latter's website (link here). Additionally, its local Oklahoma dealers have thrown in an extra $150,000 for the United Way and the automaker will be offering an extra $500 toward the purchase of a new Ford vehicle.
