 1963 Ford F100
Asking $3500.00 or best offer
This truck starts right up and runs. Engine is a new/re-manufactured V8, 351 Windsor (5.8L), 2 BBL  with around 50 miles on it.

After replacing the engine, transmission, fuel tank, radiator and tires the truck was stored for a few years because I didn't have time to work on it. The truck had 137,956 miles on the old engine before I replaced it with a new/re-manufactured engine which now has less than 50 miles on it because I quit working on the truck after replacing the engine. I just had the alternator tested and it's good.

Truck is NOT road ready and cannot be driven away. Battery has been replaced and I had the alternator tested. Only thing that needs to be done to make this road ready is the brakes need to be bled. It cannot be driven off the property because of the brakes.

Truck bed measures 6.5 ft long by 6 ft wide
Please look closely at the pictures. The body needs some TLC.
The only major rust spots I can find are where it has rusted through in the bed, where the bed meets the cab.

FEATURES:
New carburetor - Bought and installed within last 90 days
New spark plugs and spark plug wires - just replaced within last 60 days
Fuel tank was replaced and recently cleaned - removed and cleaned out within last 60 days
New points and condenser
New ignition coil
2WD, Automatic
Tires are unused - I put the tires on 6 years ago and I have not driven the truck since putting them on.
Oil was just changed within last 60 days
Headlights, brake lights and turn signals work. Lenses should be replaced so they can be brighter.
Will include new parts with the truck that I have that need to be installed (parts are worth over $200.00) including: wiper blades, rubber seals for windows and tailgate net.
**Truck needs to be towed off of property by buyer or at buyer's expense**
U.S. Sales only. Payment accepted is cashiers check or cash only

Auto investor Kirk Kerkorian dead at 98

Wed, Jun 17 2015

Kirk Kerkorian, among the most talked-about investors in the American auto industry in recent memory, died at the age of 98 in Los Angeles on Monday, June 15. The billionaire ran the investment company Tracinda Corp. and was the largest shareholder in MGM Resorts International. Kerkorian attempted to use his power as a well-financed investor to push the auto industry in some fascinating ways. In 2006, he used his nearly 10-percent stake in General Motors to push a merger with the Renault-Nissan Alliance. The deal made it as far as discussions, but eventually fell through. Kerkorian also attempted to purchase Chrysler - twice. According to Automotive News, the first effort came in 1995 with a $22.8-billion offer for the automaker, and soon after it failed the company merged with Daimler. Then in 2007, Kerkorian was back with a bid for $4.5 billion, but things eventually fell to Cerberus. The billionaire finished the trifecta by buying up $1 billion in Ford stock in 2008 to make Kerkorian the single largest investor in the company. However, the situation didn't last long, and by the end of that year, he had unloaded the shares. According to Automotive News, Kerkorian was ranked by Forbes as the world's 41st richest man in 2008 with a net worth of $16 billion. Thieves still love older Hondas and pickups most, says NICB [w/video]

Wed, 20 Aug 2014

No one wants to have their car stolen, but a new study by the National Insurance Crime Bureau has some bad news for older Honda owners and pickup drivers. Fortunately, it has better news for drivers overall. The group is reporting that according to preliminary data from the Federal Bureau of Investigation, thefts were down 3.2 percent in 2013 (versus 2012) to fewer than 700,000 cars. That's the lowest figure since 1967. That's also less than half of the peak of over 1.66 million thefts in 1991. "The drop in thefts is good news for all of us," says NICB President and CEO Joe Wehrle. "But it still amounts to a vehicle being stolen every 45 seconds and losses of over $4 billion a year."
Honda drivers might not find it such good news with older Accord and Civic models topping this year's theft study. Toyota and Dodge can't really celebrate, either, with two models each on the list, as well. Overall, this year's list was split evenly between foreign and domestic models, which were mostly pickups.
The 10 most likely vehicles to be stolen in 2013 were:

Ford reflects on radical Mustang concept that never reached showrooms

Tue, 25 Jun 2013

The Ford Mustang that we all know and love made major waves in the auto industry way back in 1964 by offering style and reasonable pricing with optional V8 power. Its long hood and short rear deck, combined with a low-slung and sporty cockpit, made a lasting impression in the minds of consumers and car designers alike, and its basic shape has so endured the test of time that it's still in use today.
This being the case, you may be interested to know that the first Mustang of 1964.5 wasn't actually the first Mustang at all, being preceded by a concept car that made its public debut in 1962. This concept was nothing like the car that would eventually make it into production, with a radical wedge shape and a small V4 engine sitting behind the car's two occupants, driving the rear wheels. In other words, the conceptual Mustang was pretty much the complete opposite of the production Mustang besides the name.
Ford has kindly decided go through its massive archive to bring the original Mustang concept back into the public eye. The company goes so far as to pose this question to fans of the pony car: "Should we borrow a few of these style elements for the next iteration of the Mustang?"
