See the seller's listing for full details and description of any imperfections.Seller Notes:"This is a truck that will require repair before it is road worthy."

Here is an excellent candidate for hot rod or restore. Hopefully the pictures describe the body and condition of this truck I have found that pictures seam to show a better condition than the actual vehicle so please be advised that this truck needs work to be road worthy.

With that said I am selling a very restorable or make it a hot rod 1962 ford short box unibody truck. I buy projects that have been started and not finished in all different stages that need repair or restoration. This truck came to me not running and in need of brake repair I have since added a used master cylinder to get the brakes to function and rebuilt the carb to get the engine to run. I have drove the truck down the road and it does run and drive but really should be trailered home to the new owner. The engine runs good but needs a tune up the transmission shifts fine and the clutch works as it should. The truck needs rewired in the lighting department as you can see there are no tail lights, the head lights do function and there is power to the tail lights just no tail lights. The body on the truck is in decent shape for a unibody truck, most of the ones I have seen are in far worse shape than this one. Please look the pictures over or stop buy and check it over I put up as many pics as I can with expanded view. I work on vintages autos everyday and in my opinion this truck with a little elbow grease and little money could be at the next hot rod night. I sell vintage autos in all different stages also and before I begin to invest time and money in this one I am offering it to the public at a low reserve. I have a clear title in my name, Bid to win and if you have questions feel free to call Dig at Digs Rod Shop 641-660-9837. Thanks and happy bidding, I do reserve the right to end the auction early.

Ford gets its Movement on, releases 'Sounds of Focus' tracks

Sun, 25 May 2014

Ford has, for at least the second year in a row, teamed up with techno promoter Paxahau and a couple of artists to make music in recognition of the Detroit Movement music festival. This time, Movement performers Ataxia and Secrets were selected by Ford, and were invited to spend some time at the automaker's Michigan Assembly Plant, which gives birth to the Ford Focus and Focus Electric models.
Now that we know the what, how about the why? According to Ford, "Detroit is uniquely tied to the origins of the electronic music scene. In the 1980's variations of electronic music stemmed from inspirations of industry, including the automotive sector." So, there you go. If you're interest is piqued, feel free to read the press release, watch the video and listen to the tracks below.

Facelifted Ford Focus caught testing in the cold

Wed, 18 Dec 2013

It's that time in the life of the Ford Focus to get a little work done - a nip-tuck here, some Botox there. Yes, Ford is testing a facelifted version of its global C-segment entry, which first hit markets in Europe and North America in May 2011.
Like the touchup on the Fiesta, expect Ford's gaping grille to make its first appearance on the Focus. Our spy photographers point out that this is likely to be a more comprehensive makeover than previous spy shots suggested, based on the additional camouflage seen here on the front and rear ends of this five-door model. New head and taillights are also likely in order, as are changes to the front and rear fascia.
The interior was also snapped and features a cleaner design with a larger central display. Other than that, it looks like some buttons have been changed, making us think most of the Focus' updates are limited to the exterior.

Martini Mustang is a 'what if moment' gone right

Wed, 23 Oct 2013

Feast your eyes on a masterpiece. This is Steve Strope's Ford Mustang in the classic fastback bodystyle, and as you'll notice, it sports the signature colors of Martini Racing, a livery that's as legendary as any Gulf Racing-styled car. But the red, white and blues of the Martini stripe down this Mustang's middle tell only a very small part of the story, in the latest video from Petrolicious.
What would you guess is under the hood? A 289-cubic-inch V8? Maybe a 302, or some absurd Ford crate engine? Maybe Strope went all Tokyo Drift - he's actually responsible for the "Hammer" Plymouth Satellite driven by Vin Diesel at the end of the movie - and found an RB26DETT to drop into the pony car? You'd be wrong on all counts.
This mad, mad man somehow finagled a Ford-Lotus engine from a 1966 Indianapolis 500 car into the Mustang's engine bay. Yes, a Mustang with an engine designed for a 160-mile-per-hour, open-wheel racecar. That's like someone in 40 years dropping McLaren's 2.4-liter V8 from the MP4-28 into a Scion FR-S. It'd just make a monster.
