CLEAN CALIFORNIA TITLE/ PINK SLIP IN MY POSSESSION
Haul that motorcycle, take a trip to the home improvement store or just simply cruise in style. This truck truly turns heads and gets thumbs up every time I take it out. This truck has that cool custom, classic look with a nice stance, 15 inch chrome rims/baby moon caps and vintage looking hotrod steering wheel. This truck purrs like a kitten and runs like a champ, thanks to the glass pack mufflers and great running 351 Windsor. It has a classic sound with a pleasantly low rumble out the exhaust tips. The truck drives straight and cruising down the freeway at 65 MPH is a breeze. The transmission shifts smoothly at the right rpms. Having the power steering and power disc brakes sure makes the drive nice. I am letting this truck go due to no longer having the room for a classic Ford truck and having a daily-driver newer Ford truck.
The interior has new carpet and insulation. The bench seat has been reupholstered and is in good shape. The bench seat is super comfortable. There is a small hole in the seat vinyl that has been patched. The bench seat has three complete seatbelts. The gauge cluster does have the optional volt and amp meters. Automatic transmission shifter on the floor. Radio and speakers works great. Gauges and tachometer work great. The exterior light blue paint shows fine as a daily-driver condition but it is not show-quality.
Some more good news about the truck, is that it was not only built here in sunny northern San Jose California, but it was sold here and has been here in northern California all of its life, based on the previous two owners. The vin. number on the frame of the truck matches the door data plate vin. number. Something I find neat is, the original assembly plant is only about an hour from my house. Thank you for your interest, I hope you win this auction.
I will be happy to assist your transporter in anyway I can. Mileage stated above is not the actual mileage, due to original engine and transmission being switched out. The Ford oval novelty license plates on the truck, in the pictures does not come with the sale of the truck, sorry. Both California license plates come with the sale of the truck. I reserve the right to end this auction early, as I have this truck for sale locally. This truck is sold as-is where-is, with no-warranty or refunds being expressed or implied. A non-refundable $1,500.00 deposit is due within 24hours of auction end. Full payment is due within 72hours of auction end. Vehicle is to be picked up within two weeks of auction end, unless arrangements have been agreed upon.
Thank-you!

2015 Ford Mustang EcoBoost flogged and analyzed by Ignition
Mon, 13 Oct 2014Aside from the way it looks and perhaps its independent rear suspension, the biggest bit of news on the 2015 Mustang may be the inclusion of its 2.3-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder engine. That blown mill marks the first time since the Mustang SVO of the '80s that a turbo has been fitted under the engine of Ford's pony car.
The Mustang EcoBoost is the subject of the latest episode of Ignition from Motor Trend, giving us a great look at the technical, nitty-gritty side of the turbocharged coupe. Covering it from bow to stern, host Carlos Lago walks us through the boosted Ford before taking to the track for some driving impressions, with particular praise given to the low-end grunt of the 2.3-liter mill.
Check out the full video and then let us know which 2015 Mustang has your interest piqued the most - the EcoBoost four, the 5.0L V8 or the entry-level V6.
The fascinating forgotten civil defense history of Mister Softee trucks
Mon, 26 Aug 2013Hemmings came across an interesting article from the Throwin' Wrenches blog about the intersection of ice cream, cars and civic duty in America's late 1950s. In particular, it focuses on the Mister Softee trucks, which criss-crossed neighborhoods of the eastern US serving ice cream. Looking past the ultra-durable vehicles used - heavy-duty Ford-based chassis, for what it's worth - the article delves into some deeper national-security territory.
See, Mister Softee truck owners were voluntary members of the Civil Defense, thanks to all the useful stuff (potable water, generators, freezers and fridges) that the machines carried with them for serving ice cream. Click over to Throwin' Wrenches for the full run down of how Mister Softee would have stepped in to help fight if the Cold War ever turned a little hotter.
Ford Q1 profits dragged down by warranty costs
Fri, 25 Apr 2014General Motors isn't the only Detroit automaker posting falling profits in the first quarter. Ford just released its Q1 2014 financial data, and it reported a net income of $989 million, down $622 million from Q1 2013. The drop is partially blamed on higher warranty and recall expenses than the company had anticipated.
Financially, Ford suffered a rough quarter almost across the board. Its pre-tax profit of $1.4 billion was also down $765 million from a year ago. Things were even worse in the North American market where operating profit fell significantly to $1.5 billion, down from $2.392 billion in Q1 2013. However, its global revenue ticked up slightly to $35.9 billion, from $35.6 billion in this period in 2013.
Ford admitted that it spent about $900 million on expenses that it hadn't planned for during this quarter. According to Reuters, the company paid about $400 million in additional warranty and recall costs in North America. The automaker didn't explain why the costs were so much higher than expected. However, in the last three months, Ford has had several recalls, including on the 2001-2004 Escape for rust, Explorer for its steering, Edge for its fuel line and others.
