1957 Ford F 100 Pickup - Clean Unrestored Condition - V8 - Runs Excellent! on 2040-cars
Cleveland, Ohio, United States
Thank you for looking at my original F-100 Pickup Truck. It has three on the tree and a 292 V8 motor, and it couldn’t run any better. The body is original, but it needs a paint job. The bed is clean with some rust under the license plates. The interior is all-original just like you see in the pictures, and it’s just a lot of fun to drive. The underneath of the truck is in excellent shape. The frame is near-perfect, and it’s all-solid. Please review the additional pictures by clicking the Photobucket link below, so you can see more details. On the passenger side of the front floor when you get in, it is also rusted, but patched with a license plate, just as the back was. This truck is from West Virginia. It was not exposed to the salt, and so the amount of rust that this truck has, (for being 56 years old) is very little. The miles are not actual. If you’re looking for an old truck just to cruise around town or for an easy restoration project, this truck may be right for you. If you’re planning on driving this truck home it’s turn-key ready to go. Both the lights and turn signals also work. Thanks again for reading my ad, and good luck if you decide to bid. If you’re the lucky winner, I will contact you within one hour of the auction ending. I would like the car paid for by either cash or wire transfer within 48 hours. I will not pay for your delivery transportation, but I will work with your shipper. This vehicle is being sold as-is, which means that there is no warranty, because there is no way that I can offer a warranty on a car of this age. If you have any question, or would like to come out, feel free to send me a message through eBay, On Aug-05-14 at 16:54:09 PDT, seller added the following information: CLICK HERE TO VIEW MORE PICTURES OF THIS PICKUP! -----------> X X |

Ford unveils its facelifted Falcon finale with new XR8
Thu, 24 Jul 2014While its days may be numbered, Ford isn't just going to let its Falcon sedan limp out for the Australian market. No, the Blue Oval is releasing a refreshed Falcon for its final years, and it's lead by this, the new XR8. That's right, this dead-car-driving is going to go out on a high note.
Ford's global design DNA dominates the looks of the new Falcon, with a grille reminiscent of the US market Fusion and the European-market Mondeo. The headlights aren't a straight port, and boast their own unique LED running light pattern (at least on the XR8), but the overall look is strikingly similar. Out back, LED taillights highlight the rear of the Faclon. Despite the substantial new fascia, this is still a mid-cycle refresh. That means most of the rest of the Falcon's body panels are carryovers from the current model.
The XR8 model, shown above, arrives with a supercharged V8, allegedly displacing 5.0 liters. Unfortunately, details on the Falcon's mechanicals are in remarkably short supply. Ford has committed to a range of turbocharged four, as well as turbocharged and naturally aspirated six-cylinders, in addition to the V8, although specifics on those mills aren't available.
This woman owns the first Ford Mustang sold in the US
Wed, 11 Dec 2013As Ford celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Mustang with the unveiling of the all-new sixth-gen design, one Chicago women can lay claim to a piece of Mustang history. According to CBS Chicago, Gail Wise was the first person in the US to buy a Mustang in 1964, and she did so two days before the car was even unveiled to the public.
Wise, then a 22-year-old teacher, went into the Chicago Ford dealership wanting to buy a convertible, and a salesperson ushered her over to car covered by a tarp. That car was a baby blue Mustang convertible, which she still owns today - along with the documentation. After sitting for almost 30 years and undergoing a full restoration, the car now looks to be in original condition. The report says that this $3,400 purchase could be worth anywhere between $100,000 and $250,000. While this worked out well for Mrs. Wise, we wouldn't recommend anyone going into a dark, back room of a dealership hoping to get a jump on the purchase of a 2015 Mustang.

Ford 1.0L takes third-straight International Engine of the Year award
Thu, 26 Jun 2014Ford's 1.0-liter EcoBoost is proving to be The Little Engine That Could, and it continues to acquit itself well, finding favor as one of the best powerplants in the world. To confirm it yet again, the tiny mill just won the International Engine of the Year award for the third year in a row, likewise also nabbing the title in the Sub 1.0-liter category.
Packing 123 horsepower and 148 pound-feet of torque with overboost (125 lb-ft normally), the tiny engine combines impressive power in a size small enough to be a carry-on item for a commercial flight. US buyers only got a taste of the award winner in the 2014 Fiesta, while the 1.0 EcoBoost has been available throughout the Ford lineup in Europe for a few years now. American sales have reportedly been strong, however, and next up in the US, the mill will find its way into the 2015 Focus.
The panel of 82 jury members from 34 countries also named the Mercedes-AMG 2.0-liter turbo found in the A45, CLA45 and GLA45 AMG models with 355 hp and 332 lb-ft as the best New Engine for 2014. The electric powertrain from Tesla won Green Engine prize, and the 4.5-liter V8 from the Ferrari 458 Italia took home the honor of top Performance Engine yet again. You can check out all the winners below, and scroll down further to read Ford's celebratory announcement of its award.
