1957 Ford F-100, 1957 Ford F100,restored,stunning,rare,one Of A Kind,unique on 2040-cars
Riverside, California, United States
Restored RARE 1957 FORD F-100 BIG WINDOW Arguably one of the nicest 1957 F-100’s you will find! I am the 3rd owner of this truck. A friend bought this truck from the original owner about 10 years ago. I, then, bought this truck from my friend 5 years ago. This truck is original to Riverside, CA and has stayed within a 25 mile radius between the three owners. This is a garage kept truck! The restoration was completed just over 11,000 miles ago. This truck is absolutely stunning! Once you see this truck in person, you will fully appreciate its beauty and style. You will see a 1955 and 1956 Ford F-100, but rarely do you see a 1957 F-100 Big Window. The 1957 has a style all of its own. The engine has just over 11,000 miles on rebuild. The transmission has just over 3,000 miles on rebuild. The 9” Ford posi-traction rear end build by Currie Enterprises has just over 2,500 miles on rebuild. Over $3,000 was spent on the interior. Look closely at the pictures and you will see the quality. It was upholstered to keep the old school stock look. Sound deadening material was placed under the carpet to keep the cab nice and quiet. This truck has a Volare torsion bar front end which allows the truck to handle and have an excellent ride!

Uber hopes facilities in Detroit will help shape its autonomous future
Mon, Sep 19 2016Hot off the heels of unleashing its fleet of self-driving vehicles in Pittsburgh, PA, Uber announced plans to open a new facility in the Detroit, MI area, reports Automotive News. The new facility was announced at an event hosted by Society of Automotive Engineers in Detroit, MI. Uber's vice president of global vehicle programs Sherif Marakby revealed the news, reports Automotive News. The facility is meant to help the ride-sharing company collaborate with suppliers and automakers in the area. There's no word on where Uber will build the new facility or how big it will be, as those factors have yet to be determined. Just like Pittsburgh, PA, Detroit, MI could become another testing ground for the ride-sharing company. The latest move to open a facility in the Detroit area comes after Uber offered users in Pittsburgh the chance to ride in one of its autonomous vehicle as it looks to gain vital real-world testing. Uber is utilizing a fleet of modified Ford Fusions. Earlier this year in April, the automaker announced a partnership with Google, Lyft, Uber, and Volvo to develop autonomous cars. A new facility in Detroit would strengthen the partnership and help Uber, as well as Ford put autonomous vehicles on the road faster. Ford ST Octane Academy [w/video]
Wed, 04 Jun 2014
The ST school is about more than just handbrake turns, hot laps, and sliding into parking spaces.
I felt like such a rock star. On my second pass around the UrbanCross course (read: fancy autocross) at the Ford ST Octane Academy, I absolutely nailed the exit, sliding the bright-yellow Focus ST sideways into a box the size of a parking space, all four wheels in line.
2015 Ford Mustang vs. Camaro and Challenger [w/poll]
Thu, 17 Jul 2014The horsepower wars are tightening among the Detroit Three, as the Ford Mustang, Chevrolet Camaro and Dodge Challenger are getting bigger, more powerful, and yes, more fuel efficient.
That came into sharper focus this week as more information was revealed about the most insane Challenger ever - the 707-horsepower Hellcat - followed quickly by Ford's in-depth showcase of the 2015 Mustang in Dearborn.
It's shaping up to be a golden age for enthusiasts, and what's under the hood is becoming more important than ever.
