1956 Ford F-100 I found this truck in Seligman, Arizona, which is the birthplace of Route 66. At least according to the locals. It's been in that area for a very long time. Someone once upon a time thought they would restore it and did some sanding on the paint. It has a light layer of surface rust that sands right off. The truck really doesn't have any cancer since it has been in AZ it's entirety. You will be hard pressed to find a truck this solid to start with at this price. All the parts are there and even the little parts. Door regulators, e-brake, wiper transmission, etc. Aside from not having a motor the truck is original. I had to acquire a bonded title for it, but I do have a title. The option of making this into a short-bed would be an easy conversion. Actually, I could have my shop cut it down for a small fee if you felt that would be helpful to you. I have owned many trucks and the 56 is hard to beat. Detroit 3 small cars lay an egg in latest Consumer Reports reliability study
Tue, 28 Oct 2014Consumer Reports has released its Annual Auto Reliability Survey and the results are, in a word, interesting. While we already covered the score-damaging effects of infotainment systems, there's another big angle to the data that's getting some attention - the utterly dismal scores of the Detroit Three's small car offerings.
The turbocharged Dodge Dart and Chevrolet Cruze, as well as the Ford Fiesta were their respective brands' lowest-scoring models, a stat that's made worse by the fact that the American automakers finished 25th, 21st and 23rd, respectively.
That's not acceptable for The Detroit Free Press' auto critic, Mark Phelan, who has penned a scathing critique of the D3's small car reliability scores, arguing that GM, Ford and Chrysler are "out of excuses."
Mercury rises around sexy Cougar pack

NHTSA probing 2000-2003 Ford Taurus and Mercury Sable models over throttle issue
Mon, 29 Oct 2012A potential issue with the speed control cable collar has got the 2003-20003 Ford Taurus and Mercury Sable under the spotlight of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. If the collar breaks it can cause the throttle to be stuck open.
The issue is limited to vehicles with the 3.0-liter V6 Duratec. There are just 50 complaints so far out of 310,000 cars, but the NHTSA has begun an investigation into whether a recall should be issued.
