THIS AUCTION IS FOR A CLASSIC 1956 FORD F-100 BIG WINDOW PICK UP TRUCK. THIS TRUCK WAS OWNED BY THE SAME FAMILY IN SOUTH DAKOTA WHERE IT RESIDED INDOORS FOR 25 YEARS. THE TRUCK WAS COMPLETELY CUSTOM RESTORED IN THE 80'S WITH A HOUSE OF KOLORS KANDY PAINT JOB, A CUSTOM FRONT END AND A VERY NICELY BUILT CUSTOM STAKE BED. WE PURCHASED THE TRUCK ABOUT 2 YEARS AGO AND WENT THROUGH EVERYTHING ON THE TRUCK TO MAKE SURE IT WAS IN GREAT RUNNING ORDER THE MOTOR WAS PULLED AND COMPLETELY GONE THROUGH AND FINE TUNED AND IT NOW RUNS BEAUTIFUL WITH THE TRI POWERED 406 MOTOR. THE PAINT AND INTERIOR HAVE BEEN VERY WELL PRESERVED AND STILL LOOK GREAT WE DID INSTALL NEW CARPET, BUT OTHER THAN THAT THE INTERIOR WAS IN TOO GOOD SHAPE TO CHANGE ANYTHING. Galpin Ford GTR1 supercar debuts in Monterey
Fri, 16 Aug 2013Galpin Auto Sports has finally taken the wraps off the car we first previewed back in December, the Galpin Ford GTR1. A few weeks ago, we posted the first hints of just what the GTR1 would be capable of, with Galpin teasing that its 5.4-liter, twin-turbocharged V8 would produce in excess of 1000 horsepower, with a top speed of 225 miles per hour. Package all that in a coachbuilt body, and you have the recipe for one wicked supercar.
The price for the carbon fiber-bodied car is $1,024,000.
Now, we have all the glorious details. Galpin is targeting a production run of six cars, but if interest is strong enough, will expand its initial quote to 24 vehicles. The price for the carbon fiber-bodied car is $1,024,000. Opting for the aluminum bodywork could lower that, although it's not immediately clear by how much.
Ford unveils Mustang 50th anniversary logo, plans merchandise
Tue, 26 Mar 2013The Ford Mustang turns 50 years old this year, and this is the logo that will announce the milestone occasion on a special line of merchandise. The graphic is the result of an internal design competition, and Ford will give 50 different companies the license to use it on traditional logo merchandise like shirts and watches, along with some untraditional items like pinball machines.
Ford is going to begin the celebrations at this week's New York Auto Show and continue them throughout the year, but April 17 is the official birthday of the the pony car that just won't quit. You can expect to start seeing anniversary merchandise in the next couple of weeks.
Hear the 2015 Mustang GT V8 roar for the first time
Wed, 26 Jun 2013Our combined knowledge of the 2015 Ford Mustang continues to deepen, as spy shooters have begun to compile video and audio of the upcoming sixth-generation car.
Case in point is this latest series of video clips, which not only gives us a great vantage point of the Mustang in motion, but also allows us to hear the Ford V8 engine and exhaust. After perusing the aural delights of this short video, which, admittedly, doesn't catch the Mustang GT at full song, we can at least say that the throaty exhaust isn't disappointing.
Chances are good that the 2015 Mustang GT will debut with some version of the current (and excellent) Coyote 5.0-liter V8 engine, though we're unclear as to whether or not the motor has been massaged for its next-gen debut, or what may have been done to exhaust plumbing. At this point, we're just happy to hear the pony run. Scroll below to hear for yourself.
