1954 Ford F100 Pickup

For Sale is a 1954 Ford F100.  These trucks are extremely popular.  I purchased this truck from the original owner.  It spend a lot of years in a garage in Reno, NV.  Since then, it has been in Arizona.  The truck has gone through a light restoration process and the things that have been done are below.

  • New upholstery on seat and door panels
  • New black rubber floor mat.  Was not installed when I took pictures, but is there now.
  • New wheel cylinders at each wheel
  • New engine gaskets and fuel filter
  • Fresh oil change
  • Carb rebuilt
  • New hoses
  • New front brake lines
  • New tires, hubcaps and rings
  • New wood bed
  • New spark plug wires
  • New alternator
  • New fuel pump
  • New chains
  • All new glass, weatherstripping and anti-rattle felts
  • New headliner and visors
As you can see, a lot of this truck has had the hard stuff done.  The engine has been cleaned and detailed.  The paint was touched up some and the patina was left as I found it.  I did fix some color issues, but it's the original color is all the way through.  I clear coated it so it would be protected longer.  There is some light surface rust as you can see.  There are no large rust holes or cab floor issues.  The cab corners are solid and not rusted out.  This is basically a truck that you can just get in and drive. The doors open and close properly with new seals.  Bid with confidence.

If you have any questions, please call Jason at 480-619-835three

There is also no implied warranty with the sell of the truck.  I have tried to describe it and take good pictures.  If you need anything else, I am happy to discuss and send more pictures.  Also, it is a 60 year old truck.  Even though it is amazing shape for it's age, I wouldn't consider driving this across the country.

Good Luck....

The truck also has a brand new gas tank.

Ford opens the doors on its Swedish rally skunkworks

Fri, 19 Sep 2014

It's always amazing to see how different kinds of racecars are made. Formula One racers are often constructed in modern architectural marvels that hint at some of the cutting-edge technology going into the racing. Conversely, rallying is all about sliding around on a varied course as fast as possible, but it often leaves a vehicle caked in mud. So it makes some sense Olsbergs MSE, or simply (OMSE) rally car shop in Nynashamn, Sweden, shows technological sophistication in a more down-to-earth setting. It builds Ford Fiesta ST racers for Global Rallycross there, and this new video gives viewers a tour through the work.
Former rally driver Andreas Eriksson runs OMSE. These days instead of racing, he and the company's 46 employees are building Ford racers from scratch. A ton of work goes into constructing each one, and according to Eriksson, it takes 400 hours to complete each body. At times, things are so busy that some of the technicians live in the shop in apartments that are on premises. There's even a restaurant to keep them fed. Sadly the dyno room is empty during this visit, though.
By the time OMSE is done, a rallycross car might resemble a Fiesta ST on the outside, but as you see in the video, it's a completely different beast underneath. Check out the work it takes to build one of them, and scroll down to read more about it in the official release.

Ford adding stop-start to all major model lines

Sun, 24 Nov 2013

Ford has gone all-in on its efforts to offer most of its new vehicles with a fuel-efficient EcoBoost engine, but the automaker is reportedly preparing to take another big step toward improving vehicle efficiency. Automotive News is reporting that Ford will soon expand the availability of start-stop technology, which was first offered - presumably the first non-hybrid vehicle, that is - on the 2013 Fusion (equipped with the 1.6-liter EcoBoost engine) as a $295 option.
The benefit of start-stop is reduced fuel consumption as it shuts the engine off at long stops, and AN quotes Ford as saying that drivers can save more than $1,000 on fuel costs over five years. Despite this, the option hasn't been popular on the Fusion thus far, but it could be more beneficial on bigger vehicles like the F-150. Ford also said that the next-gen Edge, which was previewed in concept form at the LA Auto Show, will be equipped with auto start-stop to help make the EcoBoost engines even more efficient.

Galpin Ford GTR1 supercar debuts in Monterey

Fri, 16 Aug 2013

Galpin Auto Sports has finally taken the wraps off the car we first previewed back in December, the Galpin Ford GTR1. A few weeks ago, we posted the first hints of just what the GTR1 would be capable of, with Galpin teasing that its 5.4-liter, twin-turbocharged V8 would produce in excess of 1000 horsepower, with a top speed of 225 miles per hour. Package all that in a coachbuilt body, and you have the recipe for one wicked supercar.
The price for the carbon fiber-bodied car is $1,024,000.
Now, we have all the glorious details. Galpin is targeting a production run of six cars, but if interest is strong enough, will expand its initial quote to 24 vehicles. The price for the carbon fiber-bodied car is $1,024,000. Opting for the aluminum bodywork could lower that, although it's not immediately clear by how much.
