Up for bids is this 1953 ford F100 truck. These truck are getting extremly hard to find in any condition. This one is very restorable. From the looks of it this truck was on the road in the last 10-15 years and was a nice little hot rod. This is a project. It needs to be restored. As far as rust issues it will need the normal stuff for a old truck. The cab corners need work and the bottom of the drivers door will need work. There is some other minor rust places here and there but this is the major work that needs to be done. The rockers and door jams look good. The bed is good. All the glass is good. The hood will need some work but is useable. Its hard for me to detail every inch of the truck so if you are in question about a specific area or place you see in pictures please ask. Someone put some newer bucket seats in it. I have alot of the interior stuff for it. I took pics of alot of the stuff. There is a grille that comes with it. The drivetrain is a newer 302 with a c-4 automatic transmission and a 9 inch rear end. This is a 60 year old truck so it will need some work. The motor will turn over by hand so it is not froze up. I am not sure of the condition of the drivetrain. If you have questions or need more pics please let me know. Volvo to shake off Ford ties with new platforms, engines

It would seem Volvo is finally getting around to throwing all of Ford's things out of the apartment. Automotive News reports the Swedish automaker is preparing to unleash a range of new engines as well as a fresh platform designed entirely in house. The powerplants include an all-new four-cylinder engine set to bow before the end of this year before arriving in the US by 2014. Shortly thereafter, the world should get its first glimpse at the next-generation XC60, which will the company's first model to make use of the Volvo scalable platform architecture (SPA). US buyers can expect to see that machine on their roads by early 2015.
The next V70 and S80 will also use the SPA, though those models will carry V90 and S90 designations when they hit dealer floors. But that doesn't mean Volvo has completely weened itself off of Ford technology. The V40 will continue to ride on Ford bones until the model's next chassis can be co-developed between Volvo and Geely.

Chip Foose tastefully enhances his personal Ford GT

Typically, we'd expect a vehicle from 2006 to fall well short of a more modern vehicle, both in terms of performance and style. Of course, the Ford GT is not your average offering from the Bush era. That's doubly true when the 2006 GT in question belongs to one Chip Foose.
Purchased by his wife as a 50th birthday present, Foose is showing his custom, personalized GT at the 2014 SEMA Show. The 5.4-liter supercharged V8 breathes a bit easier thanks to a full Magnaflow Performance exhaust, but Foose's GT isn't all about the performance.
Instead, the car customizer extraordinaire has focused on tasteful aesthetic enhancement, tweaking the rear end by removing the bumper and trimming the frame extensions. The wheels, meanwhile, are one-off aluminum alloys, designed by Foose himself. Like the stripes, the wheels feature orange accenting.

More 2015 Ford Mustang pricing information leaks [UPDATE]

The big news this morning was that the 2015 Ford Mustang would start at $24,425, including its destination pricing. The big news this afternoon is, well, bigger.
Mustang6G.com has come up with what it claims is pricing info for the entire Mustang line, rather than just the V6. That means we know all about the EcoBoost and GT prices now, which, when combined with the dealer order sheets we reported on last week, gives us our clearest look yet at how the Mustang can be outfitted (we're still a bit short on pricing info for some standalone options, like paint premiums and such).
The base EcoBoost starts at $25,995, while the GT rings up at $32,925.
