Ford F-100 Pickup
-1953-

For sale is a 1953 Ford F-100 Pickup.  These trucks are getting much harder to find.   This one is ready to drive and drive everyday.  I have had a certified mechanic check things out and go through the engine and make sure it was running as good as it should.  It starts right up....

Here are the details:

  • Ford 302 V8 with C4 automatic transmission
  • Engine tuned and checked out by mechanic
  • Engine cleaned and chassis steam cleaned
  • Brake lines inspected and soft lines replaced
  • Power Brakes
  • Front Disk Brake Conversion
  • All lights work
  • Speedometer works
  • Gauges work
  • Has dual electric fans
  • New headliner and sun visors
  • New chrome nearly everywhere
  • Recent wood bed installation
  • Newer interior
  • All glass is new and in good shape
  • New rims and center caps
  • New marker lights and tail lights
  • Tires have lots of tread.  Nearly new
The Ford runs and drives great down the road.  It has no problem cruising at 75 on the freeway and handles it well.  And with the power brakes and front disk brakes, it stops great.  The paint is in overall good condition.  It's probably a 7/10.  It's not a show paint job, het it still looks good and is great as a daily driver.  It was painted by the previous owner.  I have owned a few of the F100's and this is a good solid truck.  If you have any questions, please call me at 480-619-8353.  Bid with confidence.  The truck is priced to sell and is a great value.

If you wish to have the truck inspected, please do so before bidding.  I am happy to accommodate someone coming to see it.  The truck is located in Gilbert, AZ just in case you missed that.  There is no implied warranty on the truck either.  It's a buy AS-IS transaction.  If you have a (0) experience, please contact me before bidding so I know your intent.

Here's what it's like to drive the very first Ford Mustang cop car

Thu, Jan 29 2015

As we recently discovered, there's something different about driving a police car. That's true whether you're talking about a modern Dodge Charger Pursuit or, yes, the legendary Ford Mustang SSP. Former Autoblog staffer and current Road and Track web editor Zach Bowman discovered this when he shanghaied a 2015 Mustang GT and made the trip to Nashville, TN to drive the very first Mustang SSP police car. The two-tone, V8-powered prototype was delivered into the welcoming arms of the California Highway Patrol back in 1981 for evaluation. Bowman chatted up cop-car aficionado Mike Strinich, the prototype's current owner, and managed to score some seat time in the car, which provided a unique interesting contrast to the SSP's 435-horsepower junior. Head over to R&T for the complete read.

Ford reserving 50th Anniversary Mustangs for service members

Tue, Dec 16 2014

Think getting your hands on one of the 1,964 50th Anniversary Ford Mustangs is hard as a civilian? Imagine how tough it might be for the Mustang fanatics in our nation's military. Perhaps recognizing this fact, Ford Emerging Market Services and the Overseas Military Sales Corporation (the only Ford-authorized retailer on the military's bases) ran a raffle, with the winners receiving the opportunity to purchase one of the limited-edition muscle cars. Ford EMS and OMS received 300 entries to the raffle, although with only eight 50th Anniversary Stangs to hand out, we imagine there were quite a lot of disappointed soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines. "We are pleased to offer limited-edition anniversary Mustangs to members of our military through our Military Appreciation Program, and we are delighted at the response it's receiving," Doug Walczak, EMS' fleet sales manager, said. The first Mustang was delivered to Army Maj. Del Boyer, shown above. While Maj. Boyer took delivery in New York, the raffle was open to servicemembers both at home and abroad.

GM already raising prices on 2014 Silverado and Sierra pickups

Mon, 14 Oct 2013

General Motors must be pretty pleased with sales of its two newest pickups, the GMC Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado, as it's announced price hikes for both models, as part of a planned price tweak.
Prices will be bumped by as much as $1,500, although weirdly, they'll be offset by as much as $1,500 in cash-back offers through the end of October. Fox Business reports that GM spokesman Jim Cain said of the price hike, "With the sell down of the '13 models nearly complete, this price adjustment was planned and is a normal part of business."
The move, as Fox is quick to point out, is an interesting one, as sales of the twin pickups struggled last month relative to the Ford F-Series, while both of GM's crosstown competitors have been aggressively undercutting Silverado and Sierra prices. The F-150 starts at $24,070 and the Ram 1500 comes in at $23,600, not counting any cash on the hood. A base Silverado, meanwhile, retails at $25,575.
