 Where to begin . . . . .
I have a hand built jig table chassis with 4 link rear suspension and a narrowed 9" ford rear end, flemke style flipped axle front end. The chassis and all parts are brand new. The cab is a 1952 Ford F1 truck body which has been channeled and has custom floor pans and custom built tunnel. Front Chevrolet disc brakes with power brake booster. bed is custom built with a 52 bed shortened and 38 V8 tailgate. Optima battery is located in the rear under a aluminum gas tank with custom cut/ built gas cap. front end is a 30's Massey Furguson tractor grille with new bucket style headlights. Built 351W with Dart Iron Eagle Heads, fully balanced and bluprinted. MSD ignition. Aod transmission with Lokar shifter. Professionally built driveshaft. Wheels are WELD racing with a 15X14 in the rear with Hoosier tires and 15X3 1/2 up front. This is going to have to be a come and take a look at situation because I have a lot of money invested in this truck and it is not quite finished. I have every part and piece to finish this truck but do not have time anymore. This truck is my baby! NO EXPENSE WAS SPARED in building this truck!!!!! you cant build this truck for less than what I have in it from the ground up! I have a clean and clear title which I currently have tagged and insured here in the state of GA. Any questions just ask and I will answer as fast as I can. I am not desperate to sell it and i will finish it before I give it away. Oh what is left to finish. . . .Wiring on bed and clean up rest of wiring into looms, which I have the complete kit. Then a few other little nit picky things and trust me ALL the hard stuff is finished. So that brings us to price and trades. I will take a look at trades but they have to be something I'm interested in. I know you will love the truck as much as I and I want to see it go to a good home. 678-641-8397 call or text

I reserve the right to end the auction early due to local sale. I can also provide delivery of the truck if needed.

Ford S-Max Concept previews new look, technology for Euro seven-seater

Wed, 28 Aug 2013

Ford unveiled today the S-Max Concept, which comes with a new, sleek look and loaded with innovative technology, such as a heart-rate monitoring seat. But if you're heart is set on a minivan sports activity vehicle (SAV) and you live in the States, don't wait for this one - it's a Europe-only product, and we don't expect that to change when the next-gen S-Max is released.
The styling follows Ford's global design language, looking a bit like an overgrown Focus hatchback with the company's signature grille, wraparound headlamps, steeply raked windshield and curved roof line. Ford also implemented details to make the S-Max look longer and faster, such as a feature line on each side of the vehicle and muscular-looking fenders. The engine isn't Ford's most powerful, but the new 1.5-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine should be potent enough with turbocharging and other efficiency related technologies.
Ford says the new interior, which seats up to seven people, features high-quality materials and fine detailing, such as an "ultra-soft" leather wrap for the instrument panel and leather and carbon-fiber details on the seats. Ford's Sync connectivity system with MyFord Touch makes the car a wireless hotspot, and there's a tablet docking station for second-row occupants.

Ford's J Mays feels vindicated by Fusion reception

Tue, 25 Sep 2012

It's hard to think back now, but the same man overseeing the design of the 2013 Ford Fusion also presided over a rather lackluster period in Ford design, highlighted by vehicles like the Five Hundred and Freestyle. With the redesigned Fusion receiving high praise, J Mays tells Automotive News that he feels vindicated from criticisms suggesting he's not a daring enough designer.
When Mays took over as lead of design in 1997, he admits to having quite an ego ("My head would barely fit through the door some days. I've long since gotten over myself") and the workload to match. With the Blue Oval's portfolio full of premium brands like Aston Martin, Jaguar, Land Rover and Volvo at that point, along with the bread-and-butter Ford, Lincoln and Mercury models, Mays certainly had quite the challenge.
It was in the mid-2000s that Mays took over just the premium brands, and took on the new title of Chief Creative Officer. At the time, Mays endured some criticism for looking backwards to retro styling, rather than setting a new standard for American car design - criticism that Mays says he is free from with the all-new Fusion.

Ford paying $750 million just to close plant in Belgium

Thu, 21 Mar 2013

According to a report from Reuters, Ford is shelling out $750 million in a severance deal that will see the automaker close its facility in Genk, Belgium. The automaker reached this deal with the 4,000 hourly workers employed at the plant last week, which means the company will pay out an average of $187,500 per worker.
Ford is still negotiating with the 300 salaried workers at the factory, which currently produces the Mondeo sedan. All told, Ford expects to lose around $2 billion in Europe thanks in no small part to the region's ongoing economic downturn, and two more plants are scheduled to be shut down in Europe this year. The company will log its $750 million payout under "special items" for this quarter.
As you may recall, Ford took a similar path in the US back in 2009 when the domestic market took a spill. Back then, the company shelled out around $50,000 per employee with at least one year of experience, plus either $25,000 toward a new car or an extra cash payment of $20,000. It would seem the cost of closing plants in Belgium is a much harder pill to swallow than in the States...
