We had truck for awhile & wasn't happy with it ... it was too STREET ROD for us and the paint was horrible. We decide that something had to be done so it was all hands on deck to redo the truck & bring it back to "old glory days". First thing we did was sent it to our engine/trans guy who works on old cars for over 30+ years where it got full interior rebuild. By interior engine/trans … we meant everything from fluids, seals, pistons, crankshaft & so forth.. The work was done on 6/14/13 then we sent it off to paint shop.

We didn't want to sand it down to bare metal & do "bondo/putty work" on it to make it PERFECT. We want to leave it the way it is ( its all original STEEL ) without being STRAIGHT body. So we had all area where rust bubbles & so forth that showed up sprayed w/ POR 15 then painted it. You will see areas in body that is not straight, show dots, dent etc as the way it is ( this give truck personally ). We decide not to fancy the engine exterior or engine bay to give it old “pinta” look.

We also decide that we would leave the interior part of this truck untouched. It already had old school looks along w/ some nice upgrades from previous owner. The seats are really comfortable to sit in & they have belts for safety. There’s few surprise inside the cab like neon lights, custom switches, custom gauges, hand made stuff & home made pin strips on steering wheel to name few. I would put new tires on it soon ( they are showing dry rot/dirty ).

You will be hard pressed to find other truck similar to this. This truck is turn key & ready for you to use it on road, cruise, shows & night out! The truck is now 100% look & drive like old school traditional Hot Rod. The truck GET lot of attention every where it goes ie: gas station, car shows, cruise, night out & so forth. Nada Guides have the truck retail value a little bit north of $40k. We always sell our rides w/ reserve price that is thousands under retail value to give people chance to own a piece of Old Iron! Truck comes w/ Clear Maryland Title & original vin tag is still attached on truck (both matching). BOTTOM LINE - this is truck you can get in & drive when you want to having fun w/o worrying about paint, body, drivetrain or doing wax on it.

Please note - Truck IS NOT perfect $40k show truck. This truck is daily driver & paint is not perfect, body is not perfect, nothing is perfect & its the way I like it ( REAL DEAL ). We know this is long but we always try our best to cover everything so that nothing is hidden. We tried our best to be honest with the winner bidder. Truck have flaws that pictures doesn't show so please keep that in mind.

If you have any questions or interested in seeing the truck then please feel free to get ahold of us & we will get back to you as soon as we can.

Thanks & Good Luck!

Are you a new Ford Mustang SVO? [w/video]

Fri, 16 May 2014

When Ford announced that its 2015 Mustang would arrive with a 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine, three letters came to mind: SVO. While Ford hasn't said a word regarding the rebirth of a Mustang SVO model, this latest set of spy shots shows us something very, very interesting. Allow us to explain.
The Mustang prototype in these photos looks very similar to the GT500 test cars we've spotted before - same bulging hood, aggressive front fascia and air vents aft of the front wheels. What's different, however, is around back. Have a look at the exhaust, and note that instead of the GT500's usual quad pipes, two of the exhaust outlets have been capped off.
Our spies point out that these exhaust outlets could be closed for some sort of emissions testing or another engineering reason, but it's also important to note that the engine and exhaust notes of this car sound completely different from earlier GT500 prototypes. We've got a video below that compares the two.

NHTSA closes Ford F-150 EcoBoost acceleration probe

Mon, 14 Apr 2014

Typically when we report on the findings of an investigation from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, it's because the government body has discovered a safety issue and prescribed a recall. In this case, however, NHTSA has closed an investigation into a reported performance deficit without ever getting to the recall stage.
The issue revolves around the Ford F-150 - specifically those equipped with the 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine - of which some 360,000 were built in the 2011, 2012 and 2013 model years. After receiving an initial 95 complaints, NHTSA opened an investigation last May - almost a year ago - into the reported issue of reduced engine power under hard acceleration. The agency has since received a total of 525 such complaints, and Ford itself reported receiving over 4,000.
Together, NHTSA and Ford determined that the problem resulted from cylinders misfiring, an issue itself stemming from water getting into the charge air cooler (CAC) mated to the turbochargers. In particularly humid or rainy conditions, water was found to get into the CAC, causing some of the cylinders to misfire, which in turn triggered the ECU to disable those cylinders in order to protect the catalytic converter from damage.
