Here we go again with other cool ride for grabs & this time its a 52' F1 Traditional Hot Rod!

You will find full information on the truck down here along with some cool pictures for ya all to check out. We have owned this truck for about 2 years now and we love it which we are sure the new owner will too. My listing might will be a bit long than others but I like and want to cover as much as I can so you know what you are getting. Let's start with list of features on what this cool truck have ...

  • 355 Chevy Crate Engine
  • 700 R4 Transmission
  • 12’ Power Disc Brakes w/ Dual Diaphragm Power Brake Booster
  • Aluminum Master Cylinders
  • Upgrade Brake Lines & Hoses
  • Dual Captain Seats from 90’s Van
  • Upgrade Gauges
  • Engine/Trans Crossmember & Polyurethane Engine/Trans Mounts
  • Nylon Lined An-6 Trans to Trans Cooler w/ Trans. Cooler Fan
  • Complete Rewired Entire Truck
  • Update Spade Fusebox w/ Relays for Fans
  • All Wires Solder & Heat Shrink Wrapped
  • Straight Front Axle
  • 9’ Rear with 3.10 Gear
  • 100% Henry Ford Steel
  • Have Heat System (working)

What it doesn't have: Air bags, power steering & air condition however there is room to add them if you desire to do so.

Let's start with condition and information. First of all and foremost ... this is not a perfect, mint, trailer queen or high retail truck. This truck is 100% original steel with characters to back it up like dings & dents from its days of being used as a real truck. This bad boy starts up, drive, stop and sounds like Traditional Hot Rod. If you want mint/perfect truck then this is not for you.

Now with that out of way ... let's start with drivetrain. Truck had about 1000 miles on it when we first got it about two years ago. We spent about year and half driving it around and put on only 500ish miles on it. However the truck always gave us problems here and there ... that's until about 3 months ago when we decide to send it to shop and get full interior rebuilt. The truck now have 2100 miles on clock and still going up as we are driving it on weekends ( weather permits ). What do I mean by full interior drivetrain rebuilt is that everything inside the block been replaced and/or rebuilt.

The next thing we did after we was done with drivetrain obvious was body. The body had surface rust, bubbles, and so forth started to show up after owning it for awhile ... couldn't left it like that so it got some new paint job. We started off by giving it sanding job all way to primer and put on new primer coat. While we were at it ... we removed all surface rust and covered it with POR 15. After that we gave it two coats of flat blue paint job which is what you see in pictures ... if you want "shiny" truck then you can buff it and bring it to that point but we don't like it. We didn't do any BODY work to leave the truck "original" condition so it is not LASER straight body or in mint condition. Bottom line: this is a truck that you can get in and drive to shows, cruise or night out having good time without worrying about shiny paint job or trailering it to shows. This is driver that will get you LOT of attention, honks, pictures taken and hard time leaving gas stations. Truck is pretty much turn key other than might will need new tires soon.

The truck still have original vin tag on it and the numbers matching - no fake stuff. I have and hold a clean/clear title in my name to truck which will be ready for new owners. The nada guides retail this truck at $15,000 as average retail and $39,000 as high retail. I know the truck is not high retail however its not your average truck so I've the reserve price in between and will give people chance to own a cool old school traditional hot rod!!!

You are more than welcome to check the truck out in person. You can drive truck after you pay me and do whatever you want to do with it. Look at pictures but please understand pictures doesn't show its flaws so keep that in your mind. I've tried to be honest as much as I can so please feel free ask questions if you have any. Serious inquiry only please - thanks!

P.S. I have few other Hot Rods so would like to downsize but would consider trading for: 69' - 70' Mach 1 or Model A Coupe/Tudor Hot Rod ( both must be nice and have automatic trans ) otherwise I'm not close to being interested in trading for anything else.

Ford exec downplays idea of aluminum-intensive cars

Thu, Jan 15 2015

Ford certainly made waves when it rolled out the all-new 2015 F-150 made primarily out of aluminum. But while trimming weight off its vehicles is a top priority for the Detroit automaker, we shouldn't expect the lightweight metal to be used as widely on passenger cars as it has been on its new pickup. Speaking at the Automotive News World Congress on Wednesday, top Ford exec Joe Hinrichs said that using aluminum in passenger cars isn't as beneficial as it is in trucks – primarily because the weight savings isn't as dramatic, or as deeply needed. Though improved fuel economy is certainly one advantage of aluminum construction in a truck like the F-150, low prices at the pump have prompted Ford to highlight another advantage, and that's capability: With less weight on its own, a lighter-weight truck can carry and tow more than a heavier one, because it all comes down to combined weight ratings. Ford is expected to make the new F-Series Super Duty largely out of aluminum for the same reasons, and we wouldn't be surprised to see the next Expedition use the material as well. But while certain components in Ford passenger cars will be made of aluminum, we shouldn't expect entire chassis and bodywork assemblies to use the material as extensively as on the F-150, or on more upscale passenger cars from the likes of Audi or Jaguar. Dearborn is, however, investing in other lightweight materials. It has a joint venture with Dow Chemical to put carbon fiber into mass production, much as BMW has with its i3. The Blue Oval will use a combination of carbon and aluminum on its 2017 GT supercar, and it has stripped weight by removing amenities from the 2016 Mustang GT350R, but apparently neither is a method Ford can practically apply to its volume models. 2015 Ford Mustang fuel economy ratings leaked

Thu, 21 Aug 2014

Thinking about buying a new Mustang, but want to know what kind of fuel economy it'll get? Well we have our first indication as the pony-car enthusiasts over at Mustang6G.com have gotten a hold of the Monroney window stickers for a few of the new 2015 Mustang models.
Although the V8 model is not among them, we can now see how the EPA has rated those models with a half dozen pistons or less. The Mustang EcoBoost with the turbo four and a manual transmission has been rated at 22 miles per gallon in the city and 31 on the highway. The V6 manual gets 17 city and 28 highway, while the V6 automatic squeezes out a bit more in the city at 19 mpg but carries the same 28 highway rating.
By way of comparison, the latest Chevy Camaro with the V6 and a stick shift gets the same 17/28 EPA rating as a similarly equipped new 'Stang, and the V6 automatic Camaro gets 18/27 (slightly behind the Ford, but if you opt for the Camaro 2LS with its V6, automatic and 2.92 rear axle ratio, you'll be looking at 19 and 30).

70% of pickups could use aluminum by 2025

Wed, 11 Jun 2014

In the next decade, the auto industry will see an explosion in its use of aluminum to cut weight and increase fuel economy, according to a study from market analysts Ducker Worldwide cited by The Detroit News. We are already seeing the lightweight metal show up extensively in luxury models from Europe, but with the impending launch of aluminum-intensive 2015 Ford F-150 (pictured above), North America is using it even more, as well. The report predicts 70 percent of US pickups to have aluminum bodies by 2025.
It won't just be pickups that see the benefit, though. The average amount of aluminum in US vehicles is forecasted by the study to grow from an average of 350 pounds in 2013 to about 550 pounds by 2025. The most common parts to use it will be hoods, doors and - to some extent - roofs, as well.
The massive increase in pickups' aluminum content hardly seems surprising. The F-150 is predicted to use so much that it might cause a short-term shortage, according to one earlier report. At the same time General Motors is heavily rumored to be negotiating with suppliers for the next generation Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra. Ram is the last holdout of the Big Three, but the study predicts that not to last.
