Hello, up for auction i have a nice looking 1950 F1 ford pickup truck that is dove gray in color. It has a brand new 351 windsor motor that was bought from Oriellys auto parts and since installed, it has less than 100 miles on it. It has brand new brakes and brake lines, brand new gas tank, new glass, Brand new decoda gauges, brand new double bend lokar radical 32 shifter, g4 transmission with over drive. My husband had diamond plate custom made for the door and kick panels and under the seat. Brand new running boards, It has a mustang seat that was redone in black. This truck runs good but still needs some work. The head liner needs to be put in and the back window put back in, we have the window but was waiting until we got a head liner but never did. We put the wood down in the bed of the truck and my husband customize it with gray blend epoxy and black epoxy lines,It still has the stock gear in the rear end, stock drive gear or what ever you call it and my husband said he would suggest changing it and it needs a transmission modular? Other than that, the truck runs good and looks great. Any questions you can call spider at 1-815-790-7594

Ford vandalizes the SEMA Show floor with 2014 Transit Connect

Tue, 05 Nov 2013

The Ford booth here at SEMA is practically a 1970s throwback with all these customized vans sitting front and center. And we're completely fine with that. Take the black and yellow (black and yellow, black and yellow) 2014 Transit Connect from Mobsteel above. It's got a great stance, sits on steel wheels and has a pretty cool paint job and graphics package to boot.
Of course, that's not the only van you can see at the Ford booth. In fact, there are 10 Transit Connect vans on display from Ford here at SEMA, and you can see them all in our live gallery of high-res images above. Then, if you want to know more about each specific model, feel free to scroll down to read all about these vans in the official press release from Ford.

Ford rethinking vehicle launch strategy

Tue, 07 May 2013

With a new boss at the helm, Ford is looking at new ways to improve its vehicle launches in North America to prevent recent issues that have popped up with models like the Lincoln MKZ, Ford Escape and Ford Fusion. Speaking with Automotive News, Ford's new president of the Americas, Joe Hinrichs, revealed a few ways the automaker plans to avoid early build issues such as the engine fires on certain 2013 Escape and Fusion models and months-long delays for customers to receive their MKZs.
It sounds like the root of the problems may have been Ford's relationship with suppliers compounded by the fact that the product surge came on the heels of the recent industry-crippling recession, and in the AN article, Hinrichs says improvements are being made to reduce problems during the launch of new or redesigned models. Three such improvements that were implemented during the first quarter of this year including more rigorous quality comparisons, better use of computer technology to catch major problems sooner and hiring engineers to work closer with suppliers.

2015 Ford F-150 gets Power Wheels treatment [w/video]

Thu, 26 Jun 2014

With the introduction of its forthcoming 2015 F-150, Ford is breaking with convention by shifting from steel-intensive construction to aluminum. But what if it weren't made of metal altogether? What if it were made of plastic instead, and packed an electric motor instead of an internal-combustion engine?
Feast your eyes, boys and girls, on the new Power Wheels F-150. Built by Fisher-Price and licensed by Ford, the third-generation ride-on toy started development nine months before the full-size version debuted at the Detroit Auto Show this past January, and is hitting sidewalks and driveways across the country this September.
The Power Wheels F-150 carries a sticker price of $349.99, and there's a special version at Toys R Us with LED headlamps (just like the real F-150) for an extra $10.
