**** VERY LOW RESERVE **** OVER $5,000 INVESTED IN TRUCK - Reserve is less than $2000 **** VERY LOW RESERVE ****

You are bidding on a one of a kind Classic Antique 1971 Ford F-100 Custom long bed. The reason I am selling it is because I found a short bed that I plan to restore and I need the money to put into it. I bought this truck from a buddy of mine that restored this truck from the ground up about 7 years ago. There are some runs and unevenness in the paint and also a few scratches on the hood and drivers side on the bed rail. This truck is definitely a head turner but not a show truck. Some of the things he did was put a brand new hood, front fenders, body mount bushings throughout the truck, bench seat with middle console out of a newer truck, brand new 4 core radiator, flow master exhaust, has a 390 big block with less than 10,000 miles on it built by salina engine machine with a mild cam, aluminum intake, holley carb, and headers. Since I've had it I've only changed the oil put a new windshield and gasket in and a spare tire. surprisingly this truck is extremely reliable. I've taken it on over 200 mile round trips to kansas city a few times but now only take it out of the garage on beautiful sunny days. This truck also has power steering and tinted windows.

The Bad:
There are a couple things that will need to be addressed on the truck. The last time I took the truck out the brakes needed to be pumped at almost every stop so the brakes need worked on or might just need bled. The gauges dont work except for the temperature gauge but thats it. There are some signs of rust in certain areas a small area in the door jamb. Other then those things the truck has been great and I hate to part with it.

This is a non delivery transaction, winning bidder is responsible for pickup. Payment will be in CASH and/or PayPal ONLY no checks or money orders.

Mustang retakes monthly pony car sales crown from Camaro

Wed, Dec 3 2014

Going back to their origins in the Swinging '60s, the Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Camaro have been fierce rivals for fans' hearts and dollars. Historically, the Ford often led in volume, but Chevy took the muscle car top spot in 2009 upon the Camaro's rebirth. However, with the launch of the latest Blue Oval pony car, the tide is turning back in Ford's favor. November was the first full month of sales for the new 2015 Mustang, and according to TheDetroitBureau.com, the model did spectacularly well. The Blue Oval shifted 8,728 of them, up 62 percent from same month last year, with the automaker proclaiming it the model's best November sales since 2006. Conversely, 4,385 units of the Camaro were delivered, down 13.5 percent year-over-year, meaning its sales were roughly half that of the new-generation Mustang. Ford is understandably happy with the results, and product development director Raj Nair even hinted to TDB that another version of the Mustang might be unveiled at January's North American International Auto Show. Rumor has it that the model will be the even more potent Shelby Mustang GT350R. Despite the Mustang's November success, the Camaro outsells it year to day. So far in 2014, Ford has sold 73,124 Mustangs versus 79,669 examples of the Camaro. With December offering the last chance for an overtake, the Bowtie may yet remain king for this year's sales crown. A new Camaro is peeking over the horizon, as well. It's reportedly moving to the Alpha platform used by the Cadillac ATS, and production could start in late 2015. Prototypes are already testing at the Nurburgring, and camouflaged examples have been spotted weirdly being compared to its '80s forefather.

Black Zombie electric Mustang launches Blood Shed Motors [w/videos]

Thu, Jun 19 2014

As patient zero of Blood Shed Motors, the classic pony car has received a powerful electric transplant. Lightning repeatedly vanquished the darkness like the angriest of strobe lights and thunder shook the building, punctuating the clatter of a heavy Texas rain on the metal roof as the clock ticked away the initial seconds of a rare full moon Friday the 13th. It was then that the Black Zombie came to life for the first time. Beneath the hood of this rust-free 1968 Mustang fastback, a 289-cubic-inch V8 no longer turns gasoline into heat, noise and pollution. As patient zero of Blood Shed Motors, the classic pony car has received a powerful electric transplant, and now boasts twinned Warp 11 DC motors and a pair of fresh Zilla controllers that will serve as the basic blueprint for future vehicles. Dubbed the Zombie 222 drivetrain, the setup will be limited to 750 horsepower in customer's cars to keep the maintenance experience low, and eventually will draw power from a 40-kWh battery pack. In this first example, though, the output is bit more extreme. For one day, at least, they have the 1,500-kW-capable pack that powers the record-setting Swamp Rat 37 racer belonging to Don Garlits and a brief window of opportunity to try it out on a track. Blood Shed Motors is the result of a collaboration between NEDRA co-founder John "Plasma Boy" Wayland, the man who helped bring electric vehicle drag racing to the attention of the world with his unassuming White Zombie Datsun 1200 conversion and Austin, TX business man Mitch Medford, who've put together a small team of experts in their chosen fields. The plan is to build a limited number of muscle car conversions on pristine early Mustang, Camaro, and Barracuda platforms. The plan is to build a limited number of high-quality muscle car conversions on pristine (No restored rust buckets!) early Mustang, Camaro, and Barracuda platforms. Each can be customized according to buyer's wishes and blessed with its own serial number. The price tags will be in the eye-watering $200,000-and-up neighborhood, reflective of the cost and rarity of these cars and the custom nature of the alterations. Of course, you can't just multiply horsepower and add the monster torque that these electric motors put out and expect an antique chassis to hold up.

Autoblog joins Elon Musk and Danica Patrick in accepting ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

Tue, 19 Aug 2014

Unless you've been living in an off-the-grid cabin in the woods for the last couple of weeks or abstain entirely from social media activities, you've probably seen someone you know dump a bucket of ice and water over their own head recently. While the origins of the so-called Ice Bucket Challenge are shrouded in a history typical of Internet memes, its effectiveness in raising money and awareness for the ALS Association has been astonishing.
Celebrities from the worlds of entertainment, sports, technology and more have generated untold millions of video views in support of the organization that is helping patients with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS, better known as Lou Gehrig's Disease), and generated a much needed influx of cash, as well. Recent reports have some $15.6M raised in the last two weeks.
Of course, the big-hearted world of automotive celebrities has taken part in the drenching charity effort as well. Follow on below for some of the biggest names on four wheels getting iced for charity, with a smattering of your favorite Autobloggers thrown in for good measure.
