A Texas Truck in Michigan (no winters in Michigan) Pick-up in Livonia, Michigan (please note) 2005 Ford Explorer Limited Sport Utility 4-Door 4.6L purchased August 2013 from a pre-owned car dealership in Austin, Texas. Seats 6 total, the 2 back rows also fold down for extra cargo space. Trailer hitch installed. This vehicle has never seen snow. It has only been in Michigan for 2 weeks.Condition- Very good condition, inspected upon purchase and maintained with high mileage oil changes every 3,000 miles and fluids topped off, all maintenance records and the report from the inspection performed at the time of purchase available. 2 previous owners before myself. Exterior- There are minor dings and scratches and the bumpers are a bit scuffed from previous owners. No rust. Interior- There is a patch of torn leather on the driver's seat (see photos). The front passenger visor's mirror cover is loose and will not stay in position. The volume control on the front console is not working properly but the steering wheel volume control works fine. Back left power window does not operate from driver's controls, only can be rolled up or down from back left seat controls. Smoke and pet free. Petersen Museum celebrates 50 years of Ford Mustang with special exhibit
Mon, May 5 2014If you're a pony-car enthusiast, this is your year. Not only has Ford introduced an all-new Mustang, but it's also the 50th anniversary of the original. Celebrations and commemorations have been scheduled throughout the year, and not the least of them is the latest exhibit at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles. Called "Mustangs Forever: 50 Years of a Legend", the exhibit includes Mustangs from every generation of the iconic pony car, including the 1965 convertible Ronald Reagan drove during his California gubernatorial campaign, a 1971 Mach 1 Cobra Jet, a 1974 Mustang II, 1993 SVT Cobra, 2000 Cobra R and a 2006 Shelby GT-H. Special sections focus on motorsports, aftermarket modifiers and limited-edition models. The display opened on Sunday with the Mustang Madness spectacular and will run for the next six months, but if you're not heading to Southern California within the coming half-year then you can scope out all the action in our live gallery of photos above.

Autocar pits Formula Ford against Germany's finest
Wed, 25 Sep 2013Ford has quite the racing pedigree, but usually, its racers are relegated to the track. Not the new Formula Ford EcoBoost, though. It's a turbocharged, open-wheeled racer complete with a 200-horsepower, 1.0-liter, three-cylinder engine... and it's legal on the roads of the UK.
That's stressed in this video from Autocar, with the mag going so far as to show the car's tax disc and license plates. Being a road-legal offering, it's tempting to see just how well an open-wheeler that delivers racecar-like performance while also netting over 100 miles per gallon (assume this is on the British cycle, for obvious reasons) stacks up against modern performance cars.
Autocar lined up the Formula Ford against an Audi R8 V10, a BMW M6 Gran Coupe and a Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG in a number of situations to see which would come out on top. Take a look below for the full video.
