You are looking at a very nice pre owned Ford Explorer Limited. We are the second owners and the vehicle was purchased as a certified Pre Owned vehicle from Ford. The vehicle is cover under Ford's ESP Premium Care Warranty which is the top of the line Ford warranty until 100,000. See Ford's website for details. There is a $75 warranty transfer fee for the new buyer.

The vehicle is in overall great condition with only minor signs of wear and no major wear inside or out. It is in above average condition for a 2011 with 60,000 miles. Everything works as it should and it gets great gas mileage (between 20-24 MPG). We are only selling because our daughter is getting bigger and we no longer need an SUV.

All Explorer Limited models come loaded but this one has the extra Rapid Spec 302a option package which adds to the huge list of features this vehicle has. This includes:

Rapid Spec 301A – Voice-activated Navigation System with SD card for map and POI storage, and integrated Sirius Traffic and Sirius Travel Link with introductory 6-month subscription power liftgate + Luxury Seating Package includes PowerFold® 3rd-row seat, perforated leather-trimmed seats, heated and cooled driver and front-passenger seats, and 10-way power front-passenger seat with power lumbar Rapid Spec 302A – Includes all content of Rapid Spec 301A
+ active park assist + adaptive cruise control and collision warning with brake support + rain-sensing wipers + BLIS® (Blind Spot Information System) with cross-traffic alert + HID headlamps
This Explorer also includes the optional rear bucket seats with center console and the dual panel Panoramic moonroof.
This vehicle will park itself, let you know if a car is in the lane next to you, keep a set distance while using cruise control, allow you to change the colors of the interior lights, remote start that will sense the temperature and automatically turn on the AC or Heater including the A/C seats or Heated seats and much more. It's really incredible the amount of cool features this Explorer has. It also has bluetooth, home link, 2 USB inputs, backup camera with sensors, HID headlights, fog lights dual power seats, and power folding 3rd row seats that fold flat for more cargo space.
The only aftermarket item is a K&N air filter which I add to all my vehicles because it improves performance and you never have to buy another Air Filter.

The interior is 9 out of 10 if not better. There are scratches in the hatch area from cargo but everything else is great. The exterior has a few scratches on the back bumper from loading and unloading stuff and there are the usual rock chips on the hood and front bumper but less than normal.
There are no stains, rips, or tears in the interior and no rock cracks in windshield. Please feel free to call me with any questions you may have about the vehicle or to set up a time to look at it and drive it. The mileage will change since my wife is still driving it daily.
Current KBB Value is $27,882 and NADA is $30,675

Mustang retakes monthly pony car sales crown from Camaro

Wed, Dec 3 2014

Going back to their origins in the Swinging '60s, the Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Camaro have been fierce rivals for fans' hearts and dollars. Historically, the Ford often led in volume, but Chevy took the muscle car top spot in 2009 upon the Camaro's rebirth. However, with the launch of the latest Blue Oval pony car, the tide is turning back in Ford's favor. November was the first full month of sales for the new 2015 Mustang, and according to TheDetroitBureau.com, the model did spectacularly well. The Blue Oval shifted 8,728 of them, up 62 percent from same month last year, with the automaker proclaiming it the model's best November sales since 2006. Conversely, 4,385 units of the Camaro were delivered, down 13.5 percent year-over-year, meaning its sales were roughly half that of the new-generation Mustang. Ford is understandably happy with the results, and product development director Raj Nair even hinted to TDB that another version of the Mustang might be unveiled at January's North American International Auto Show. Rumor has it that the model will be the even more potent Shelby Mustang GT350R. Despite the Mustang's November success, the Camaro outsells it year to day. So far in 2014, Ford has sold 73,124 Mustangs versus 79,669 examples of the Camaro. With December offering the last chance for an overtake, the Bowtie may yet remain king for this year's sales crown. A new Camaro is peeking over the horizon, as well. It's reportedly moving to the Alpha platform used by the Cadillac ATS, and production could start in late 2015. Prototypes are already testing at the Nurburgring, and camouflaged examples have been spotted weirdly being compared to its '80s forefather.

Martini Mustang is a 'what if moment' gone right

Wed, 23 Oct 2013

Feast your eyes on a masterpiece. This is Steve Strope's Ford Mustang in the classic fastback bodystyle, and as you'll notice, it sports the signature colors of Martini Racing, a livery that's as legendary as any Gulf Racing-styled car. But the red, white and blues of the Martini stripe down this Mustang's middle tell only a very small part of the story, in the latest video from Petrolicious.
What would you guess is under the hood? A 289-cubic-inch V8? Maybe a 302, or some absurd Ford crate engine? Maybe Strope went all Tokyo Drift - he's actually responsible for the "Hammer" Plymouth Satellite driven by Vin Diesel at the end of the movie - and found an RB26DETT to drop into the pony car? You'd be wrong on all counts.
This mad, mad man somehow finagled a Ford-Lotus engine from a 1966 Indianapolis 500 car into the Mustang's engine bay. Yes, a Mustang with an engine designed for a 160-mile-per-hour, open-wheel racecar. That's like someone in 40 years dropping McLaren's 2.4-liter V8 from the MP4-28 into a Scion FR-S. It'd just make a monster.

2015 Gordon McCall's Motorworks Revival

Thu, Aug 13 2015

Considered the big kick off of the major festivities surrounding Monterey Car Week, this year's Gordon McCall's Motorworks Revival certainly didn't disappoint. For those unable to make it to the California coast, our own Drew Phillips was on hand to snap some of the beautiful vehicles on display for this gorgeous gallery. Held annually at the Monterey Jet Center, the event is always a feast for the eyes by collecting planes, a gang of exotic supercars, and some the top cars crossing the auction block over the coming days, like a Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda convertible. The Ford GT both new and old was a major attendee at this year's party. Among them, the Petersen Museum brought along an original racecar and a GT40 MKIII to promote an upcoming exhibit. The classics were complimented by the latest version that has continued to keep tongues wagging. The GT wasn't the only classic with a modern update there. Singer used the posh event for the North American debut of its stunning restoration of the Porsche 911 Targa. Shelby American was also at the revival for the public unveiling of the 50th Anniversary Daytona Coupe. On the more modern front, Honda was in attendance with the future NSX and one of the McLaren F1 cars that the company's engine powers. For further proof of the ritzy folks that attend this soiree, Pagani and Koenigsegg both had stands to show off their extremely quick wares.
