I have owned this truck since 2008. It's been a great truck and has been well maintained. Cosmetically, in good condition. There is a chip in the front windshield. Also, there is some minor paint peeling on the hood. This truck comes from a smoke-free environment and the interior is very clean. Mechanically, this truck is sound. It is ready to drive on day one!! The only issues are that the driver rear TPMS (tire pressure monitoring) sensor needs replaced....it causes a message on the dash that says "TIRE PRESSURE FAULT" ....also, the driver rear ABS speed gear needs replaced... I have included the speed gear with the sale of the truck...it just needs to be installed. The ABS sensor was recently replaced as well. The speed gear issue just causes the ABS/Traction Control light to come on in the dashboard. ABS works fine, it just needs to have this part put on for the light to turn out. We are also including a set of rear rotors and rear brake pads that just need to be installed (front rotors and front pads were just changed!)

We have followed all of the scheduled maintenance on this truck. Here's some of the recent work:

1) Tune-up - newer plugs and wires

2) Replaced all 8 distributer caps

3) Replaced front struts

4) Newer battery

5) Transmission just flushed and checked (confirmed great tranny!)

6) Recently replaced hub bearings

7) Coolant recently flushed and changed

8) Changed differential fluid and filter

9) Flushed fuel lines/replaced fuel filter

10) New front rotors and pads (we have included a set of rear rotors and rear pads for you as well ... they just need installed)

This is a great truck that will have many years ahead of it! All sales final.

Next-gen Ford Cobra Jet development underway, but will it be a Mustang?

Wed, 09 Oct 2013

Ford might be stepping away from the NHRA, but it isn't abandoning drag racing altogether. Hot Rod says that Ford confirmed a next-gen Cobra Jet factory drag racer is in the works, but the report also speculates that a new Cobra Jet could switch away from the Mustang nameplate.
Even though talk of a new Cobra Jet coincides with the all-new 2015 Mustang, the lack of confirmation for the dragster's platform leaves Hot Rod to guess that the car might switch to another platform - specifically a front-drive-based, unibody car like the Fusion or Taurus. We'd hate to think of a world with a NASCAR-ized dragster from Ford Racing, but it's also highly unlikely that the Mustang Cobra Jet would step away from its quarter-mile rivals like the Chevy COPO Camaro and Dodge Challenger Drag Pak.

Ford Escort testing, may be bound for Europe

Tue, 01 Apr 2014

There has been little news about Ford's China-focused Escort concept since debuting at last year's Shanghai Motor Show, but the no-frills sedan has shown its camouflaged face again during cold weather testing in Northern Sweden. While far from a guarantee, the test location might hint that the Blue Oval plans to market the car outside of Asia.
The Escort's black robe and zebra paint make it hard to tell if anything specific has changed about the design, but the shape of the sedan looks close to what was shown in Shanghai. Under the disguise, you can still make out the hexagonal front grille from the concept. When Ford announced the model, the company said that the design wasn't supposed to be "arrogant or pretentious," and it certainly achieved that. The engine range is still a mystery, but it seems safe to expect small, economy-focused powertrains.
A report from last year indicated that Ford may be considering broadening the new Escort beyond Asia and possibly even selling it in Europe. The fact that the company brought it to Sweden for testing could bolster that argument. A release date hasn't been set yet, but the automaker has promised 15 new products for China by 2015. The basic sedan could be on the road soon.

Social media star Scott Monty leaves Ford

Thu, 22 May 2014

It seems weird to think that an automaker could have a social media star, but Ford does. Or at least it did. Scott Monty, its Global Digital Communications Manager, led the company's team for almost six years and forged a reputation as being one of the most talented people in corporate social media. But the guru recently announced that he would be leaving the automaker for an undisclosed job elsewhere.
"I just decided the time was right. I am going to take a little time with my family, and I am going to start on a new adventure pretty soon," said Monty in an interview with AdWeek. He also explained a little about his theory of how companies should use social media. In his opinion, it should be a chance to go beyond standard marketing and build a relationship with people. Businesses need to have a broad focus for its online message, and using just one service isn't enough to be successful.
Under his guidance, Ford expanded its Facebook presence significantly. According to AdWeek, it launched the 2010 Explorer on the popular site. Also, when the company wanted to investigate selling electric models, it initially gauged the public's reaction on Facebook and then advertised them there first. Monty has been a major supporter of Twitter as well to broaden the company's communication with the public.
