CURRENTLY UP FOR SALE IS A RARE POLICE VEHICLE. 2003 FORD EXPLORER XLT FORMER POLICE VEHICLE. THIS CAR IS IN REALLY GOOD SHAPE. ITS RUNS GREAT. EVERYTHING FUNCTIONS AS IT SHOULD. THE MILES ARE PRETTY LOW FOR THE YEAR AND SHOWS VERY LITTLE SIGNS OF WEAR. THIS PAST WEEK , 4 BRAND NEW TIRES WERE INSTALLED. PRIOR TO THAT I INSTALLED A NEW STEREO/CD/DVD HEAD UNIT WITH FULL BLUETOOTH CAPABILITIES. THE TRANSMISSION HAS BEEN COMPLETELY REBUILT, WHICH SEEMS TO BE THE MAIN FAILURE OF THESE CARS. IT RUNS REALLY WELL. THERE ARE NO ISSUES AT ALL WITH DRIVABILITY. AS FOR THE BODY, IT WAS A POLICE VEHICLE ,YOU SHOULD EXPECT A FEW SCRATCHES HERE AND THERE, BUT AS THE PHOTOS SHOW ITS A DECENT CAR. IT WAS USED BY LOCAL GOVERNMENT AGENCY AND WELL KEPT. THE INTERIOR IS PRETTY CLEAN .THERE ARE SOME MARKS FROM FORMER EQUIPMENT BUT NOTHING THAT HURTS THE EYES. IT HAS A WORKING DRIVERS SIDE SPOT LIGHT,SEVERAL MAST ANTENNAS. OK SO AS FOR THE QUESTION "IS THIS A POLICE VEHICLE " YES IT WAS BUILT AROUND THE POLICE UNLIKE OTHER MODELS MADE. I AM SURE YOU WILL HAVE QUESTIONS SO PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CALL ME @267-377-7605. I WILL RESPOND A LOT QUICKER VIA PHONE, BUT I ANSWER MESSAGES AS WELL. PLEASE LOOK OVER THE PHOTOS THE CAR FOR YEAR AND MILES SPEAKS FOR ITSELF AND IS REASONABLY PRICED COMPARED TO OTHERS OF THE YEAR WITH A LOT MORE MILES.. THANKS FOR YOUR INTEREST

Hear the 2015 Mustang GT V8 roar for the first time
Wed, 26 Jun 2013Our combined knowledge of the 2015 Ford Mustang continues to deepen, as spy shooters have begun to compile video and audio of the upcoming sixth-generation car.
Case in point is this latest series of video clips, which not only gives us a great vantage point of the Mustang in motion, but also allows us to hear the Ford V8 engine and exhaust. After perusing the aural delights of this short video, which, admittedly, doesn't catch the Mustang GT at full song, we can at least say that the throaty exhaust isn't disappointing.
Chances are good that the 2015 Mustang GT will debut with some version of the current (and excellent) Coyote 5.0-liter V8 engine, though we're unclear as to whether or not the motor has been massaged for its next-gen debut, or what may have been done to exhaust plumbing. At this point, we're just happy to hear the pony run. Scroll below to hear for yourself.
Galpin Ford GTR1 supercar debuts in Monterey
Fri, 16 Aug 2013Galpin Auto Sports has finally taken the wraps off the car we first previewed back in December, the Galpin Ford GTR1. A few weeks ago, we posted the first hints of just what the GTR1 would be capable of, with Galpin teasing that its 5.4-liter, twin-turbocharged V8 would produce in excess of 1000 horsepower, with a top speed of 225 miles per hour. Package all that in a coachbuilt body, and you have the recipe for one wicked supercar.
The price for the carbon fiber-bodied car is $1,024,000.
Now, we have all the glorious details. Galpin is targeting a production run of six cars, but if interest is strong enough, will expand its initial quote to 24 vehicles. The price for the carbon fiber-bodied car is $1,024,000. Opting for the aluminum bodywork could lower that, although it's not immediately clear by how much.
Ford F-Series Super Duty earns Truck of Texas award
Wed, Oct 12 2016Texans love their pickup trucks, which you already knew. That means the Texas Auto Writers Association and its "Truck of Texas" award is a big deal. And the latest trophy goes to the 2017 Ford F-Series Super Duty. The pickup truck managed to snag TAWA's award at the 2016 Texas Truck Rodeo. The award marks the 13th time Ford's F-Series has been named the pickup king of the Lone Star State. Roughly 70 journalists converged outside at the Longhorn River Ranch, just outside of Austin, TX, for the 23rd annual Texas Truck Rodeo where a host of Ford's vehicles won awards. In addition to the F-Series Super Duty being named the "Truck of Texas," the 2017 Ford Super Duty won the Heavy Duty Pickup Truck award, while the 2017 Ford F-150 with the 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine won the Best Powertrain award. The journalists also awarded Ford for having the "Truck Line of Texas." Ford wasn't the only winner at the Texas Truck Rodeo, as Nissan brought home five awards, including one for the 2017 Titan in the fullsize pickup category and one for the Armada in the SUV segment. Ram also won a few accolades with its trucks. The 2017 Ram 1500 won for being the most luxurious pickup truck, while the 2017 Ram 2500 Power Wagon won the off-road pickup truck award. Last year, TAWA named the 2016 Nissan Titan XD the Truck of Texas, but Ford's all-new F-Series Super Duty managed to keep the Japanese automaker's full-size offering at bay. For the 2017 model, Ford placed aluminum body panels into the F-Series Super Duty's body, which not only shed weight, but also make the truck stronger. Scroll down to see the entire list of TAWA's winners from the 2016 Texas Truck Rodeo.
