2003 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer Sport Utility 4wd (no Reserve, .99 Cent Auction) on 2040-cars
Jackson, Mississippi, United States
2003 Eddie Bauer Edition Explorer
This has been a great mid-sized SUV for us. I bought this truck back in march of 2013, and since then have had no problems out of it. November of last year, I did the yearly maintanence on it, spending a little over 1800$. It's had the upper/lower ball joint's replaced, newer tires put on, fluids and filters changed, plugs, ect. The only part I've ever had to replace was the battery when we originally bought it, which now is new and all part's have a warranty on them (have receipts, will come with truck). Clear original title on hand. Lower miles for the year, and to my knowledge has never been used under stressful condition's (never used to pull, although has the full towing/electric package). Truck is for sale locally also, and if so, will be pulled prior to bid end. Vehicle can be viewed @ 960 Brookway Blvd, Brookhaven, MS. You may also contact me to arrange setting up a viewing. Please note, bidding or winning this auction does not grant you a appointment to view the vehicle, please have that done prior, this sale is the full purchase price of the vehicle. Please feel free to contact me regarding any question's, and additional pictures, prior to bid end. Thanks! 2003 Eddie Bauer Edition Explorer 2003 model, running boards, 4-wheel drive (push button), full towing package with electric hookups, electronic display, dual climate control (AC/heat work great), roof rack, leather, 6-disc cd changer, 32' all terrain tires (largest available without a lift kit, looks appropriate), Chrome tip straight single barrel exhaust upgrade, 4.6L V8 engine, automatic transmission, 151k miles, electric sunroof, 3rd row seating, ect.. Auction Rules kindly Bidder's with under 10 feedback > It's super easy, just contact us prior to bidding, and we'll definitely allow you to bid freely. Bidder's that cannot follow this simple request, unfortunately we'll have to pull your bid and block you from future listings. Winning bidder > Like with most vehicle sales here on Ebay, A 500$ dollar non-refundable bank deposit is due within 24hr's of your winning bid. We do NOT currently offer paypal deposit's. Please make sure you understand and are ok with this prior to bidding. This helps us keep away the problem maker's and ensure we buyer's are genuinely interested. Upon winning bid and deposit, the vehicle will be held for you 7 day's, to allow plenty of time for us to work out pickup/shipping with you. During that time, I'll be available by phone/message to help work out the details with you. |

How Ford plans to handle insurance and repair questions surrounding new aluminum-bodied F-150
Tue, 21 Jan 2014Building a car out of aluminum has a number of benefits - the lighter weight allows the vehicle to be more agile, more fuel efficient, make better use of its power and be more resistant to dings and dents. The downside to the advanced construction, though, is that repairs are both challenging and expensive. That's troubling for the new, aluminum-bodied Ford F-150, because it's kind of made a name for itself as a rugged, durable work vehicle.
How will the legions of Ford buyers cope when it comes time to insure and repair their new trucks? Well, according to Ford, it's expecting a ten-percent jump in insurance costs for the aluminum-bodied F-150, although Ford's truck marketing manager, Doug Scott, was quick to point out that the F-150 is generally cheaper to insure than its competition from Ram and General Motors. "At the end of the day, that's sort of a wash," Scott told Automotive News at last week's Detroit Auto Show. "We've spent a lot of time and feel very comfortable that that's not going to be an inhibitor."
The other issue facing Ford is the distinct lack of body shops that have the training or equipment to repair aluminum-bodied vehicles. AN cites an estimate from the Automotive Service Association claiming that of the 30,000 independent body shops in the US, less than 10 percent are able to work on aluminum.
Would a Mustang-based Lincoln look like this?
Mon, 07 Jan 2013Designer Josiah LaCalla has taken a stab at what a Ford Mustang-based Lincoln model might look like with the Continental Mark X1 concept. Make no mistake, Ford's luxury arm has made it abundantly clear that it won't be pursuing any new products outside of volume models, which means a flashy halo grand tourer like the one you see here isn't in the cards. LaColla used the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG as a basis for his creation, which explains the long nose, but we certainly don't mind the idea of a rear-wheel drive Lincoln with a cabin pushed to the aft.
While we're dreaming, there's certainly nothing stopping us from imagining what's under that lengthy hood. We like the idea of the 5.8-liter supercharged V8 from the Shelby GT500 pushing the Mark X1 down the road, but how about something a little more inventive? Something like a high-revving, buttery V12 with enough torque to push the contraption well past 200 miles per hour. Dream a little dream, people.
2019 Chicago Auto Show photo gallery: All of the grilles
Fri, Feb 8 2019Do you like trucks? How about grilles? Like really big, shiny, chromey, in-your-face, could-be-made-by-Broil-King grilles? Well, the Chicago Auto Show is the place to be. Traditionally known as the truck show of the annual auto show circuit (at least those covered by national media), Chicago has what seems like a small national park's worth of acreage devoted to both consumer and commercial trucks. From humble extended cab Ford Rangers to a mammoth F-650 with cherry picker sprouting from its aft quarters, there's bound to be a truck for everything. And they all have grilles. So above is our gallery devoted to them, because hell, why not? Should you want to know about the trucks attached to those grilles, check out our coverage below.
