This 1999 Ford Explorer XLT has been my daily driver for two years and 30,000 miles. Easy 20 -22 or more MPG. No Rust Anywhere. I bought a Mercedes and for the past two months did not drive the XLT. I did regular services over the last two years. It always starts first turn, runs strong, shifts well, no leaks in engine compartment. I never had to add fluids to engine/transmission between services. I would still drive this XLT anywhere. Was previously multiple titles (4) but same greater family-owned, so there is a some wear on the tan leather seats, but the carpets are fresh. The group of family owners maintained the XLT very well, as I did. All the seats are firm, with the two front seats power-operated. Driver's seat has two tears. See photo. Rear seat is 60/40 and properly folds flat. Headliner is perfect. Dash has no cracks. All the power windows work. No leaks. Front wipers need replacing. Rear wiper is missing. Hood cable is a little loose. The radio/CD player will not come on, so a new replacement unit is waiting under the back seat and is a part of this auction. Buyer will handle install. All exterior lights and signals work. Key-less entry pad on driver door. Both power rear-view mirrors work properly. Also ABS, dual airbags. Roof-rack. The paint is fading on the hood and roof. Heater runs hot. Dual AC worked perfectly for two years adding no 134. After sitting for two months seems to need some charging. The rear air is still blowing cool but front fan-blower is not coming on. Still, cold air pushes through the front ducts at highway speeds.,. I do not know why... All the glass is good with a dark rear tint, except the windshield, which has a crack across the very top, so no obstruction. No pets ever and never smoked in. The suspension and steering is tight and stiff, brakes are strong. The XLT tracks straight, and the matching tires are 40% or so. Factory Alloy wheels are perfect all around. The spare has never been on the ground. Jack is present. Center armrest top is disassembled and needs recovering. Cruise control and drivers interior door handle do not work. Nothing happens when you pull the door handle,so something inside needs to be re-hooked. There are no exhaust leaks and the XLT is under current inspection and registration. Now, the right front fender has a dent and the bumper cover/fog light assembly is pulled loose. Fog-light lens cracked in two pieces, so it is gone. A Whole Foods parking-lot tap while I was in the store! Driver got away. Good news is the only damage is visual. No damage behind the fender. Also there is a dent in the rear lift-gate. I tapped a dumpster. Well, I just do not want to bother with the bodywork. So I have a clear title in my name in hand for the auction winner, who is responsible for all transport, and will please contact me after PayPal deposit to make arrangements for pickup and payment of any balance remaining.
So, happy bidding!! Bid early, bid carefully and bid often...let's get it started...
This is a no reserve auction and the high bidder wins the XLT. A $400 deposit must be paid via PayPal immediately or within 24 hours of auction close. If you do not have a PayPal account do not bid. If you cannot pay the balance remaining in full after your PayPal deposit within 7 days of auction close, do not bid. Only bidders with positive feedback may bid in this no-reserve auction. The XLT is being sold as is and where is, with no warranty, implied or otherwise. Good Luck!!And Bid To Win...

2015 Ford Mustang GT Line-Lock Burnout
Mon, 03 Nov 2014In this brief Short Cut, Autoblog's Steven Ewing demonstrates Line-Lock on the 2015 Ford Mustang GT. Accessed through an on-screen performance menu, the feature temporarily locks the front brakes to help you heat up the rear tires for better traction, as you would for drag racing. The result? A 15-second smokescreen.
2015 Ford Mustang spied on video for the first time
Thu, 20 Jun 2013Not many cars will continue to hold our rapt attention quite like the upcoming redesigned 2015 Ford Mustang, codenamed S550 internally. Earlier this month, we brought you the first spy photos of a next-gen Mustang prototype out testing, and even though expertly placed cladding concealed the pony car's new shape, we could tell that underneath was hiding an altogether new form inspired by the Evos Concept from 2011.
Today we give you some video of what looks to be the same Mustang prototype, which you can watch below, and while the budding director behind the camera wasn't able to capture much in the way of the engine's audio signature, we can see the car in motion for the first time and compare its relative size and shape to the S197 Mustang GT that's on its tail.
Find out if the Ford Fiesta ST can match Europe's latest hot hatches
Tue, 11 Feb 2014The V8 grunt of the Mustang has defined Ford performance cars in the US for the last 50 years, but in Europe, the Blue Oval has nearly as a long history of building some of the best hot hatches on the market with the Fiesta, Escort and later the Focus. The latest Fiesta ST has just hit the roads on both sides of the pond and has been enthusiastically received thanks to its combination of a peppy, turbocharged engine and hatchback utility.
However, Europe is getting a bumper crop of hot hatches at the moment, including the forthcoming, third-generation Mini Cooper S. Should Ford have waited to launch the ST until it knew how the competition performed? That's the answer that Xcar is after in its latest video, and it took the Fiesta to the track and some very misty, Welsh roads to find out. Scroll down to find out whether the ST stacks up.
