1999 Ford Explorer XLS 4.0L V6 with 120k on the odometer.

Dependable vehicle, I've had 2 explorers in my lifetime.  Parts are also inexpensive because these vehicles were the most mass produced SUVs in the world, and still hold that record.  I've had 1 5.0 Explorer and 1 4.0 Explorer, the V8 5.0 gets about 12mpg, this gets 18, and on the highway at 65 will easily get you 20mpg.  The V6 is powerful enough for any situation, and saves your wallet.  This engine was designed well, and easy maintenance down the road for a tune-up or whatever it needs in another 100,000 miles.

Working 4x4
120k on odometer
Alloy Wheels
85% Tread left on tires (see in picture)
BRAND NEW Brake lines, all 4 brake lines replaced (A shop would charge you $700+)
BRAND NEW Brake pads
BRAND NEW Fuel lines, send and return line replaced (A shop would charge you $700+)
All fluids SERVICED.  Trans, Oil, Coolant.  Not even 20 miles on the fluids.
Runs COOL, NOT HOT!!
Interior isn't nasty with stains all over, average 14 year old interior
Exhaust NOT rusted out, in good working order
New spark plugs
Replaced Center Console Hinge that was broken from being leaned on, all ready to be leaned on for another 120,000+ miles!
Ice cold AC, HOT Heat
All power windows work
All locking mechanisms work
Cruise control works
Fog Lights work
All headlights/taillights work
Dash light works, interior lights work
Rear Windshield wiper works
Defrost works
No radio in the pictures, *BUT IT DOES COME WITH A RADIO* (The factory radio had buttons that were not functioning)
Roof Rack
I'm currently getting 18mpg
Strong Engine
Trans is the original, has not been replaced.  Standard 4R70W Transmission found in every ford/mercury/lincoln vehicle of the same era.
Power Steering Pump might need to be replaced, when you're reversing it is stiff, but when you're driving its perfectly normal and fine, very easy and cheap fix.  Not quite sure why it's doing this but at 120,000 miles it might be time to replace it. It's a $50 part.
Little bit of rust on the bottom of the doors same spot on both sides, rust on bumper
Wheel wells are rust free!
Few scratches and little dings on body, not much at all actually, pretty nice for a 14 year old vehicle
little tear in the seat, nothing major.  Again, pretty average for a 14 year old vehicle
No accidents!

Clean nice running vehicle with 4x4, title in hand.  Good first vehicle, winter vehicle, 2nd vehicle, boat puller, whatever the case may be this is the perfect vehicle for any situation.  The ONLY thing it MIGHT need is a $50 power steering pump, which doesn't affect ANY driveability. As I said it is normal when you drive, and stiff in reverse.  Power steering pumps are very easy to replace, you can do it on your own or it would only cost you 2 hours in labor at a shop.  Running well and ready to go.

**My reserve is set at a price that is reasonable with the labor that I put into the vehicle.  I redid all the brake lines, the fuel lines, and put new pads on all the brakes, new plugs, AND serviced all the fluid.  And fixed the center console that always breaks in these vehicles.  All of this would have cost you $1,800-2000+ if you went to a shop!! My reserve price is right around that area... a little lower :) She's all fixed up for a new owner.

That's everything there is about the vehicle listed above, message me with questions!  I have my phone on me 24/7 and I'm always ready to respond!  Thanks for reading, happy bidding.

Editors' Picks February 2021 | Ford F-150, Genesis GV80, Mazda CX-30 and more

Wed, Mar 10 2021

If we’ve driven and reviewed it, thereÂ’s an Autoblog Rating for it. ItÂ’s been over two years since we launched a new rating system to help you evaluate cars at a glance. We tweaked and improved it along the way and quickly arrived at a consistent process for giving each and every car on sale today a fair score. Cars that are exemplary or stand out in their respective segments get EditorsÂ’ Pick status. Those are the ones weÂ’d recommend to our friends, family and anybody whoÂ’s curious and asks the question. Every car we rate gets a score from 1 to 10, making it easy for you to tell if itÂ’s a car worth pursuing and possibly purchasing. YouÂ’ll find the scores of previously-rated cars attached toward the top of our written reviews. For example, the Bronco SportÂ’s rating can be found here. The Acura TLXÂ’s rating is in this post, and the Nissan RogueÂ’s rating is right here. There are hundreds of examples to be found. The above examples make up the most natural ways to find the Autoblog rating when researching for your next car, but starting today, weÂ’re going to begin calling out each new set of Editors' Picks per month in their own breakout stories. This will put the newest and most recently refreshed cars on sale on a pedestal for you to see which ones are worth your while. WeÂ’ll typically rate anywhere between 5-10 new cars per month, so you can count on just a select few from those to make this list. Expect to see this recurring ratings post each month going forward, and read on for FebruaryÂ’s EditorsÂ’ Picks.   2021 Genesis GV80 2021 Genesis GV80 View 18 Photos Quick take: The stylish GV80 offers useful safety features, compelling design and sporty dynamics to push it near the top of the segment. Genesis takes risks with this aggressive crossover, and the result is a luxurious vehicle that is rewarding to drive. Score: 8.5 What it competes with: Lincoln Aviator, Volvo XC90, BMW X5, Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class, Acura MDX, Lexus RX Pros: Beautiful design, good road manners, awesome value Cons: Small third row and cargo space, less comfortable standard suspension  From the editors: Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore — “The GV80 is a hugely important vehicle for Genesis. It makes a style statement, has an elegant interior and is a compelling all-round execution. It looks like a Bentley, and I give Genesis props for taking some risks with the GV80 and largely pulling it all off.

Hot Wheels Ford Transit Connect is worth more if we keep it in the box

Wed, 06 Nov 2013

If the 2014 Transit Connect is anything like it's utile current-generation predecessor, and we suspect it is, it will undoubtedly be one of the most functional vehicles in North America. Ford has used the occasion of SEMA to turn the TC in to things that both make use of that functionality, and occasionally sort of wreck it in the name of good old-fashioned fun. The Ford Hot Wheels Transit Connect most certainly falls into that second category.
Most TC owners might cite the vehicle's massive cargo capacity as its top positive trait, though in the case of this wide-bodied Transit said space has been sapped in the name of a 55-inch television screen, a massive Hot Wheels drag strip (continuing a popular theme at SEMA this year) and custom storage for dozens of models from one's personal hot wheels collection. Designers have also plucked the grippy Recaro seats from the Focus ST, and thrown in a pair of 18-inch tablet screens for connectivity on the go.
Naturally, the Transit Connect wouldn't be an appropriate SEMA vehicle, or Hot Wheels name-bearer, if it weren't wearing an eye-popping appearance package. Additional homage to the Focus RS can be found in the blazing blue and orange front fascia and bumpers, while 20-inch wheels make sure the wider (four-inches in front and six-inches in the back) Transit Connect sits just right. The 2.5-liter four-cylinder-engine that powers the Hot Wheels TC ensures that the concept is more show than go, but you probably had that pegged from your first look, anyway.

Ford gives police chiefs tech to surveil officers in their own cars

Tue, 28 Oct 2014

Police officers certainly have a difficult job in keeping the streets safe, but as public employees in positions of authority, there is still a very real need for oversight. To that end, Ford is partnering with a tech company to offer a new system called Ford Telematics for Law Enforcement on its line of Police Interceptor patrol vehicles that could make cops safer, while giving cities a better idea of what its officers are doing.
The system streams live data about cruisers back to the home base to people like the police chief or shift supervisor. That info includes expected things like speed, location and cornering acceleration, but it gets incredibly granular as well, with records of things like if emergency lights are on, or even if an officer is wearing a seatbelt.
Ford Telematics for Law Enforcement "ought to protect officers as much as it protects the public," said Ford spokesperson Chris Terry to Autoblog. Constantly monitoring patrol cars offers cities a lot of advantages, too. First, it reduces potential liability because a department can prove where each vehicle is at all times. Also, officers know they are being watched and may potentially drive more safely.
