For Sale: 2008 Ford Explorer Sport Trac XLT. 138,800 Miles. Mostly highway miles. One owner and well taken care of. Have all maintenance records. Everything works. Runs and drives great. Automatic, power windows, DVD system. A/C. Power rear window. Seats have been covered since new. Even have original floor mats in good shape. Tires have very low mileage on them. Has tow package. No rust. rear plastic bumper was replaced by a body shop about 3 years ago. Someone hit me in the back but there was no structural damage done to the truck. Only the plastic cover was replaced. All original paint. Never any metal damage and never repainted. Paint has the typical nicks from being driven on the highway a lot. roof and hood do have slight dimples spread around from some hail. Very hard to notice. Does not distract from the trucks overall condition. This truck is for sale locally so I do reserve the right to pull the auction. Local credit union holds the clean title. Ford gets its Movement on, releases 'Sounds of Focus' tracks
Sun, 25 May 2014Ford has, for at least the second year in a row, teamed up with techno promoter Paxahau and a couple of artists to make music in recognition of the Detroit Movement music festival. This time, Movement performers Ataxia and Secrets were selected by Ford, and were invited to spend some time at the automaker's Michigan Assembly Plant, which gives birth to the Ford Focus and Focus Electric models.
Now that we know the what, how about the why? According to Ford, "Detroit is uniquely tied to the origins of the electronic music scene. In the 1980's variations of electronic music stemmed from inspirations of industry, including the automotive sector." So, there you go. Ford Ranger-based 7-seat SUV spotted testing
Wed, 29 May 2013Ford looks to be working on a new SUV version of its global Ranger pickup truck. An early prototype of a seven-passenger SUV based on the Ranger has been spotted testing in Australia, and word has it buyers in the region could expect to see the model in showrooms as soon as 2014, where it could sail under the Endeavour or Everest badges. Ford Australia currently sells the Territory SUV, so there's some chance that this model could be a successor to that throne, as well.
Whatever it's called, the long-roof Ranger will feature a shorter wheelbase and more ground clearance than its pickup twin, giving the machine a bit more off-road functionality. (And here we thought we couldn't want the global Ranger any more than we already do.) While this particular vehicle sports a Territory back half grafted onto a Ranger front end, odds are a public reveal of the finished product could occur as soon as the second half of 2014, making it a 2015 model. Chevy Camaro is a good sport, wishes Ford Mustang Happy 50th
Tue, 15 Apr 2014It was 1966 when Chevrolet launched its challenger to the wildly successful Ford Mustang, the Camaro. While the competition between the two brands was already healthy, the arrival of the Camaro set off one of the most intense, model-to-model rivalries in the industry.
That competitive spirit hasn't stopped Chevy and the Camaro from wishing Ford's iconic muscle car a Happy 50th Birthday as the Ford's April 17 anniversary rolls around. These two cars have been linked over the years, and while the rivalry took a break for a few years in the 2000s, today's competition between the Camaro and Mustang is as fierce as it's ever been.
You might recall that this friendliness when it comes to major milestones isn't too rare. Ford put on quite a display for General Motors' hundredth anniversary back in 2008. As the Camaro's fiftieth birthday approaches in 2016, we wouldn't be surprised to see the Mustang sending its best wishes to its Bowtie rival.
