This is a 2001 Ford Explorer Sport Trac 2WD. Runs and drive nice. Comes with power windows, power door locks, power drivers seat, power sunroof, power rear sliding glass with vent, compasss and temperature display, A/C, Disc changer CD and NEW tires. Please look at the photos has some rust showing and normal wear and tear that you can see in the photos. A/C blows cold, but feels ICE cold when you are driving ( may need recharged) This drives strait and brakes work fine, but has a squeaking sound when you go over speed bumps. Has Keyless entry, but does not work and may just need a battery. all power options work except the power locks. The power seat work fine , but the trim piece is broke off at the seat. The idle is low when the A/C kicks on. Check engine light is on and can get this check out upon request. Other that that this is a great running truck. Consumer Reports says Toyota, Ford, Honda and Chevy are big winners in brand perception survey
Wed, 05 Feb 2014According to Consumer Reports, the automotive brands that stand out in the minds of car buyers are, in order: Toyota, Ford, Honda and Chevrolet. This news comes after the magazine polled its readers, asking them to take into account vehicle quality, safety, performance, value, fuel economy, design/style, and technology/innovation - which are the factors that car shoppers are most influenced by.
It's important to note that this award is only about perception. In other words, it's perceived quality, not actual quality. "Often, perception can be a trailing indicator, reflecting years of good or bad performance in a category, and it can also be influenced by headlines in the media," said Jeff Bartlett, Consumer Reports deputy automotive editor.
The brand that made the biggest jump in perception amongst Consumer Reports readers is Tesla, which posted an impressive 47-point gain to finish in fifth place. Subaru is also notable for finishing in the top 10, despite being one of the smaller manufacturers doing business in the US. Ford EcoBoost V6 hits the dyno before hitting the track
Wed, 02 Oct 2013Ford Racing just unveiled the Riley Daytona Prototype that will make its racing in the United SportsCar Racing Championship Rolex 24 at Daytona in January, and now it has released a video showing development of twin-turbo 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 that powers the car. Using the same block and heads that can be found on a production Ford Taurus SHO, this new racecar benefits from the collaboration between Ford Racing and Ford powertrain engineers.
While we still don't know what kind of power this engine is putting out, it has definitely gotten a workout at Ford's 17G dyno. This area deep within Ford allows the automaker's racing program to work hand-in-hand with production engine programs, which can be a benefit to racing operations and production cars alike.
