The condition of the exterior, interior and engine can vary depending on the vehicle's history. See the seller's listing for full details and description of any imperfections.Seller Notes:"This vehicle is used, but in good condition. The front spoiler is cracked. This is a cosmetic defect, but has not mechanical effect on the vehicle. There is also a small dent, approximately two inches in diameter just under the liftgate rear glass. (The liftgate glass was once broken, but replaced with no functional issues.) The only other issues are minor road wear consistent with the vehicles age and mileage."

This vehicle has all the options!  This 2007, Ford Expedition, EL, Eddie Bauer Edition is very classy looking.  It's exterior is white with gold trim and the interior is two-tone brown and tan leather.  It has triple-row seating with heated and cooled front seats, reclining second-row seats and a roomy third row.  Cruise in the comfort of tri-zone heat or cooled air, while watching DVDs or playing play-station or xbox on the drop-down DVD player.  The DVD player will accept wireless headphones or wired headphones for your convenience.  The "Captain"  has the touch-screen navigation at his disposal, as well as the ability to control and lock all rear seat controls.  This vehicle also comes equipped with active XM radio and a 6-disc CD changer and Bose speakers.  It is indeed the family man's dream.

This has always been a smoke-free vehicle.  The interior is free from defects except those expected through normal wear and tear.  It cleans up great and looks great!  The exterior has a few minor dings.  The front spoiler is cracked and there is an approximately 2-inch dent just under the rear, lift-gate glass.  The glass was broken once and replaced.  However, the automatic lift-gate mechanism works fine and has never had a problem.   Otherwise, the exterior of the vehicle has some minor road nicks and wear as would be expected in a vehicle of its age and miles, specifically, on the hood.

I purchased this vehicle used with only approximately 25,000 miles on it.  It now has 122,500 miles and has had no major issues.  The air suspension was repaired once as a warranty repair, but that was the biggest repair ever done on the vehicle.

Clear title will be delivered to the successful bidder within 7 to 10 days of receiving payment in full.  Pick-up/Delivery or Shipping shall be the sole responsibility of the purchaser as will all transfer fees.

Ford Announces Free Brake-Pad Offer If Customers Stop By Dealers

Mon, Aug 4 2014

These days, when you buy a new car, it's not unreasonable to expect a certain period of free maintenance to come along as well. Sometimes this is through the life of the warranty, in other cases a little less. But Ford Motor Company is going beyond those deals for at least one part of its cars. As of now, if you buy a set of Motorcraft brake pads for a Ford, Lincoln or Mercury model, you get free replacements for as long as you own the vehicle. The offer is good at Ford or Lincoln dealers and Quick Lane Tire & Auto Centers. "We will replace the pads for as long as you own the vehicle," said Elizabeth Weigandt to Autoblog. She did clarify that the Motorcraft pads are generally for models from the '90s or newer. Also, to take advantage of this program, a person must return to the same dealer each time to get the free parts. Of course, Ford isn't just handing out brake pads to anyone who walks by; there are certain stipulations. First, the components have to be worn down to less than three millimeters to be eligible, and the buyer still has to pay for the labor to install them. If the model is used as a fleet vehicle for commercial purposes like as a taxi or limousine, this offer also doesn't apply; the same thing for racecars. On the plus side, if you recently bought a set of pads from one of the participating locations, you're still in luck. The deal covers parts purchased as of July 1. "This program reflects our commitment to providing customers with an excellent ownership experience regardless of the age of their vehicle," said Frederiek Toney, President of Ford Customer Service, in the company's announcement of the offer. Scroll down to read the all the details.

Muscle wins big at 2013 Amelia Island Concours as 1936 Duesenberg, 1968 Ford GT40 take top honors

Wed, 13 Mar 2013

The 18th-annual Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance took place this past weekend, and in one of the show's biggest years yet (bringing in more than 25,000 spectators and attracting more than 300 vehicles), two powerhouses ended up winning the judges' hearts. The top Concours d'Elegance award went to a 1936 Duesenberg SJN, while the Concours de Sport went to one of the celebrated marques, a 1968 Ford GT40.
Owned by Helen and Jack Nethercutt of Sylmar, CA, this flawless Duesy is described as "one of the most powerful open cars of the 1930s," and it displays design cues of the era like rolled fenders and a tapered rear end. The SJN's supercharged straight-eight allowed it to accelerate to 100 miles per hour in just 17 seconds - surely not a disappointing feat for its day.
On a much different level of performance and timelessness, this Gulf-livery GT40 from the Rocky Mountain Auto Collection is not outdone by the elegance of the big Duesenberg thanks to some well-documented racing history. This not only includes winning at LeMans in both 1968 and 1969 - Chassis No. 1075 also managed to win a total of six times in just 11 races.

J Mays retiring from Ford design, succeeded by Moray Callum

Tue, 05 Nov 2013

Ford's highly influential head of design, J Mays, has announced that he'll be retiring from his position after 33 years in the industry, 16 of which were at the Dearborn, MI-based company. Upon departure, he'll be succeeded as group vice president of design by Moray Callum. If that last name sounds familiar, yes, he's the brother of Jaguar's Ian Callum.
It's difficult to explain just how big of a role Mays had on not just Ford's design over the years, but on the entire industry. Before heading to Dearborn, Mays worked for Audi, BMW and then Volkswagen, where he was involved in concept cars that paved the way for design icons like the first-generation Audi TT and the Volkswagen New Beetle. As for his Ford resume, it's extensive.
Mays joined the company in 1997 as design director for Ford, Lincoln, Mercury and Mazda, as well as the Premier Automotive Group (Volvo, Land Rover, Jaguar and Aston Martin). He was heavily involved in the Ford Fusion, Focus, Fiesta, Taurus, F-150 and Mustang, while also contributing to concept cars like the Atlas, Evos, 427, Forty-Nine, Shelby GR-1, Lincoln MKZ and the MKC.
