2005 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer 4x4 on 2040-cars
Houlton, Maine, United States
I bought this truck out of Kentucky in the summer of 2012 and had it shipped to Maine where I live. It exceeded my expectations. The SUV is in Excellent condition inside and out! It runs and drives great and is a very good family vehilce. The truck has DVD Entertainment, Six Disc Cd Player, Three Rows of leather seats including second row captains chairs and third row power folding seats. It also has a tow package, but I doubt that it has ever hauled anything by the looks of the receiver and the fact that it never had a full trailer wiring harness installed. The tires are in average condition. Two tires measure at 7/32 and the other two at 6/32. The vehicle was inspected a few months ago and needs NOTHING! It is ready for the road and I would drive it anywhere. I am only selling because I have a company vehicle now and a Pickup truck and no longer use the SUV. I would like to see it put to good use by someone that will appreciate it as much as I have. Please feel free to email me with any questions you may have. The Expedition books for over $10,000 and I invested a lot to buy it and ship it to Maine. I purchased the vehicle sight unseen on EBAY in 2012 and have not had any major issues since. My wife and I have enjoyed the vehicle and hate to see it go, but cannot justify keeping a third vehicle at this time. The truck has been serviced at the local Ford dealer and is ready to hit the road. Thank you for looking and please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. |

Ford, Toyota clean up in Best Car For The Money Awards
Fri, 22 Feb 2013The U.S. News Best Cars for the Money Awards picks winners by looking at the average transaction price, five-year total cost of ownership, the regard a car has from the automotive press, reliability figures from J.D. Power and Associates and safety data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. The result, according to the magazine, is "the best combination of critical acclaim and long-term value."
Ford nabbed six of the 21 categories that received awards this year, the Focus, Fusion, Fusion Hybrid, Taurus, Escape and Edge getting trophies. Toyota and its Lexus and Scion sub-brands took another five, the Tacoma and Tundra owning the two categories given to pickup trucks. The other ten awards were split between Honda with three, Buick with two, and one each for Subaru, BMW, Hyundai, Chevrolet and Mazda.

'84 MotorWeek Cherokee, Bronco and Blazer comparison indulges your SUV nostalgia
Fri, Jan 16 2015These days, truck-based, full-frame SUVs are somewhat of a rarity on the auto landscape due to the rapid rise in popularity of easier-driving, car-based crossovers. Although, without the gradually building popularity of these chunky, high-riding vehicles decades ago, it's unlikely that America's roads would be filled with so many CUVs today. In its latest dig into the archives, MotorWeek has found a 1984 comparison test of a trio of these early Sport Utility Wagons, as long-time host John Davis called them, that helped get acceptance of this segment going. This is a red, white and blue test of the SUVs from American automakers at the time and pits the Chevrolet Blazer, Ford Bronco and Jeep Cherokee (specifically in Wagoneer guise) against each other. Driving manners and interior usability are considered in the evaluation, but Motorweek actually takes these vehicles off road, too. Among the bigger revelations is the improvement in on-road ability in the past 30 years. While specific 0-60 times aren't given, all three models take around 10 seconds just to get to around 50 miles per hour in the 500-feet on-ramp acceleration test. Check out this clip to see just how far this segment has progressed in the past three decades or just get a blast of nostalgia from these now vintage models. Europe's most-wanted classic car is... the Ford Mustang?
Sat, 28 Sep 2013Over the span of its 49 years and five generations, the Ford Mustang has held a special place in the hearts of automotive enthusiasts in the US, but, as it turns out, this car is also very popular amongst European car lovers. Earlier this summer, AutoScout24 - a new and used car shopping site in Europe - polled around 75,000 European "car lovers" (not sure how they vetted the respondents) to see which cars were the most popular, and the Mustang came out on top over iconic European classics like the BMW M1 and Volkswagen Beetle.
In the whole of Europe, 37 percent of those polled dream of owning a Mustang, but that number jumps in individual countries like Austria (42 percent) and Spain (41 percent). Rounding out the top five popular classics in Europe are the Mini and Citroën 2CV. Find out which cars made up the rest of the top 10 in the press release posted below.
